Cute roadside place, but food was not good. Burger was completely crunchy, tenderloin was like cardboard. Got drinks wrong and forgot half the order of fries. Ordered 4 ice cream cones after eating and waited over 30 minutes to get our cones.

Who wants cold cheese sauce with their cheese fries?! And then a manager who refuses to give you new fries because “the fries were fine when you got them”. But it took 10 mins to make it back here because it’s impossible to turn around on north 51. I like my food hot together- I don’t think it was an unreasonable request. So instead of just giving new fries- hands you a $10 bill, insists on taking all of your food back (all I wanted was a replacement for my fries that were uneaten), and sends you on your way.Worst customer experience ever. The manager needs some serious training.

I shouldn't do this because I don't want this place to get too busy but I want to let you know I would fight my grandmother for a cheeseburger from here. And their fries they're fries I'd slap my grandma over there fries they're that good. Staff is always helpful friendly smiling the food is always hot and fresh only complaint I have is that they serve Pepsi, and don't nobody got no time for Pepsi. I'm addicted to diet coke anyway go get you a cheeseburger or a double cheeseburger from krekels it'll knock your Aunt Connie socks off

I love their ice cream.They also have good tenderloins and onion rings. Their cheeseballs got way too spicy..wish theyd bring back the old ones.I personally just don't like the thin burgers. It isn't just from here, it's from about anywhere that has them.They seem to always have a friendly staff.Usually a long wait if there's a line for the drive thru but the food is usually fresh and makes it worth the wait.You're also able to go inside, which is nice!

I was hungry when I traveled past this small burger joint so I pulled in. At first, I was surprised at the low prices. I ordered a single patty and fries. The amount of fries was generous, the meat on the burger.. wasn't so generous. I should have gotten a double. Overall..the flavor was good, and I was satisfied that I got what I paid for. They have a polite staff as well.

This location is not as good as the original. They don't seem to have as much care about the quality and the burgers are not always evenly cooked and just thrown together. The ice cream is awesome but overpriced and now they charge .40 each for sprinkles and chocolate.

Great burgers, great everything else. The owner has given us free icecream just for having large orders before. (Family of 6 kind of racks up a bill)Only downfall is they close earlier during the winter.. lol

This is the first time I Krekels and it was amazing I can't wait to be back I'm in Paxton IL and I wish they would close Hardee's and put a krekels there by the way there is a spot in town that would be perfect for a krekels it's the old bakery. Thankyou sincerely Chicago Bob

Stopped in for ice cream with the family was delicious. Went with chocolate, should have choose the hot fudge. Kid got hot fudge and wouldn't stop talking about how great it was. Would have ate a hamburger but we ate at Eastwoods Kreckels and was full. Next time we will stop for hamburgers. Really excited to see how they compare to Eastwoods Kreckels.Stopped and just as good if not better. We go to this one now, because they have cheese-balls and the family loves those. Dinning inside is a plus too.Still great food and still eatting here. Great staff, great enviorment.

First time since covid hit that I have been satisfied with any fast food restaurant! It was hot and fresh and the customer service was top notche!! So refreshing to see it still exists 😊 you just have to drive to macon to find it!

I rather go to this krekals than any other for the quality of the food. I understand everyone has bad days and today was a bad one order was messed up to start I only ordered 1 ice cream got 2 payed for both I get to the window the guy tells me here’s your food just waiting on ice cream I say thank you put the bag in my seat without checking it get home no food was in the bag just an ice cream pls workers be more intelligent this was the first incompetent experience I’ve had let it be the last.

Ordered Dbl Cheeseburger & Chocolate Milkshake. Asked for no onions on my burger & got onions & they forgot my Milkshake all together. However, they were very apologetic about missing the shake m, gave me some coupons for free stuff & it was all very yummy

This place was usually really good I really like it but the other day they forgot our pickles and cheese on one of the burgers so I went to go pick up food and boy they were very very greasy more greasy than usual usually I really like this place

Been many years since I have had Krekels and it is just as I remembered. Thin greasy hamburgers with crispy edges. Not healthy, but tasty as hell. If it aint broke, don't fix it...5 STARS, Also very friendly staff.

Great food and the lemon ice cream is the best!🤤 the employees were super friendly and provided fast service! We drive from over an hour away to enjoy this childhood favorite in my old home town with my kiddos!

The young man who took my order just couldn't get it right...when l got to the window he said do you want some extra tartar sauce...l asked if there was some already on the sandwich he said yes...the fish was dry..no tartar..

Great food. Semi fast service. Friendly folks. Only downside was there was no indoor seating. Fix the indoor seating issue and this will be a five star burger place.
