Working at Walmart proved to be a challenging experience. Despite my best efforts, I found myself struggling due to various issues I encountered regularly. For instance, the management team appeared to be disorganized and often failed to address the concerns of their employees. Additionally, the training provided to me was minimal and felt rushed, leaving me feeling unprepared for my role as a cashier. This led to an overcharging mistake on my third day, for which I was coached(Red) without being given an opportunity to explain.My schedule was often unpredictable, and changes were made at the last minute without consideration for my personal time or commitments outside of work. Furthermore, breaks were sometimes discouraged during busy hours, which only added to the stress of the job.Communication within the team was a challenge, and misunderstandings and mistakes were common. Criticism, when given, was often unhelpful and lacked guidance, ultimately leaving me feeling less confident in my abilities.The workplace culture at Walmart was less inclusive than I had hoped, with instances of favoritism and unfair treatment towards some employees. This was disheartening and went against the values of inclusivity and fairness that I expected from the company.Additionally, the point system at Walmart was often viewed as unfair by employees, including me. The system did not consider the reasons behind an employee's absence or tardiness, which led to undeserved disciplinary action. Moreover, the point system was inconsistent, with some managers being more lenient than others. This resulted in a lack of transparency and trust in the disciplinary process.Overall, my experience working at Walmart was disappointing. I felt unsupported due to poor management and unsatisfactory working conditions, which made it challenging to perform my duties to the best of my abilities as a former employee

Had a great time shopping the store on my visit to town. My checker Vita was super friendly and personable. Even when my 3 year old started throwing a fit. It didn't slow her down a bit. She was super supportive and gave me a look that can only be understood by other moms. The look that says "I get it momma. You're doing a good job" her fast friendly service and warm welcome to town made my day. Vita is a keeper!

The best store in the town of Macomb! They do so much for their community and the local schools. The management is great, and they really stress the importance of customer service. Ashely Wing is a perfect example of someone who takes pride in her job and has so much love for the people she works with. I cannot say enough great things about the people who work at this Walmart!

I shop often at this location and I always find everything I need. Today I was looking for some cat toys for my new kitten and was approached by this woman named Audrey asked if I needed help, she suggested different items for my kitten. She was very informative and the kitten is happy with the toys and the freshness of the litter she suggested was just as she spoke of.

Ashley is one of the best workers I’ve seen! Aisles are super cleans and they have great things at this Walmart! If you ever need help look for Ashley I highly recommend!

Wal-Mart has always held great experiences, but this store is phenomenal! I'd go so far to say that I love running short on groceries just so I can shop here! And don't even ask me about the employees; Ash is easily the best! 1000000/10!!!

I travel quite a bit for work and have been to thousands of different Walmarts... The one in Macomb is the best one I've been to by far! There's a young lady there... Ashely Wing I think her name is... she is incredible. Such a shining star with stellar customer service!

Thank goodness we have this Walmart available to our rural communities! This store is always so clean and the staff is always helpful. I can tell they take pride in their work. If I have a choice between going to Macomb Walmart or Burlington Walmart, I always choose Macomb Walmart!

I witnessed GREAT teamwork between many of the Macomb Walmart workers today. They swarmed the parking lot gathering ALL carts before the weather got bad. 👏 some of the best teamwork! Keep doing what you do!

Cool prices, extensive alternatives and allows for quick self-service after shopping.I pretty much got used to it after my first visit.Some say Hyvee’s got better prices but I don’t think that’s always the case. Especially now.Give it a try if you’re an international student or you’re in the US for the first time.Cheers!

Amazing costumer service. Needed a dress shirt for an emergency, that wasn't in stock at the time and a worker went out of their way to go through the back to get it. Took 10 minutes but he got it. Well appreciated.

Eddington is one of the better workers at Walmart(despite her being a fan of Taylor Swift*graduation better*) this store is quite the place to go her in macomb. The workers are nice and helpful, shelves are stocked, it’s clean, and there’s plenty of areas of interest.

Very friendly staff and you can get pretty much anything you need here. It can be helpful to get the app and "pre-shop". Saves time cause the store is so big.I would recommend getting the app and shopping online as there is a lot about this store that you will miss.Just discovered the auto center. Great products here

I don't like how you're lucky if so you can get someone to check you out and then they want you to stop at the door and check receipt and do all that extra stuff if they were that concerned about you paying for your item then I think that they should have workers

Due to the power outage, Walmart said we could keep our order there until the power came back on. We paid for the order on Thursday and went to go pick the order up on Sunday and was refused some of our product because they couldn’t sell it till noon. The product was already paid for on Thursday. You should hire or retrain your manager to be more considerate to the customer instead of hanging up the phone on them. That is the worst thing that he could’ve ever done was hang the phone up on a customer. Plus, I had to call customer service at the corporate office to get our money back. They kept the product and our money. If you cannot comprehend that the product was paid for on a Thursday it doesn’t need to be repaid on a Sunday.Update: we still have not been refunded for the alcohol.
