I love this store! After going down the hole of really finding out what's in my dogs' food, I started doing my research on what I wanted to feed them. I immediately decided to browse this store as they're local and a small business. I found a great selection at really good prices.Ever since then, I go every two weeks for my pups food (along with getting some treats sometimes). The people there are so friendly and they always make sure to keep the stuff we like in stock (and if it's not, it's there within a few days).This store has become a staple to our household and we don't go anywhere else when it comes to our dogs!

A good pet supply store. They have something in every category of pet supplies, but it's not a huge store, so don't expect a huge selection. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Your dogs are allowed in the store while on a leash.

Forget pet smart when it comes to dogs because this place is way cheaper when it comes to quality goods even down to the individual meat treats. Service is awesome too and it's clean but if it wasn't either of those things I would still come for the prices like I'm literally never going to Pet Smart as long as this store exists. They also have other animal things I just paid attention to dog stuff.

This place is great! They have a wonderful selection of food and treats that are ALL made in the USA. After our dog got really sick, we started paying closer attention to the ingredients list and the country of origin. It's mind boggling how many big name dog foods and treats are made in China.

noticed this shop on the way home from work and the owner (i can’t remember his name, i’m sorry!) was SO kind!! i was looking for harnesses and while i didn’t find what i went in for, he was very personable and showed genuine interest in my pup. we got on the subject of food and what’s best, i ended up leaving with several dog food samples he gifted to me!highly recommend this lovely store if you’re tired of the coldness of pet chain stores. you won’t be disappointed!

They have a great variety of healthier & cleaner dog food brands. The owner is very helpful and kind. I was buying some birthday goodies for my pup and he threw in an extra free treat for her!

American Tails supports American businesses! Not only do I get the best quality food for my dog, but I am able to support American businesses and a local business in the process. The store owner is very knowledgeable and has expertise in a variety of products for various pets. My dog loves everything the store owner has recommended! I am so happy that I will not have to deal with chain pet supply stores anymore. Highly recommend this place!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very personable staff and owner. They were very helpful and answered all my questions regarding their products. My puppy was thrilled at the amount of free treats he got too! I would recommend this shop over any large chain pet store!!!

Just stopped in this store, and was kindly greeted when walking in.. Nice store, clean, everything is Made in America which is great. I was checking out the catnip selection and had a hard time making a decision being there are many great sounding ones to choose from. My cat loves good nip : ) Nice Owner. You gotta check it out!!!

Had such a great experience here! The man (owner?) working was so helpful and informative. Helped me pick out exactly what I needed right away. And prices are wonderful. It’s a beautiful layout with high-quality products. Will be a consistent customer here!

Great place. My husband went there right at 6. The store was closed but they opened the door and let him in! He is there every two weeks. Pays to be a repeat customer! Very nice people to do business with!

Went in there to pickup food for my dog. They do not carry the brand but I talked to the owner and he gave me all the background on the foods they sell including the one I was using that they do not carry. He gave me a couple of samples which my dog loved and I went back for a full bag. We ended up switching food because of the information he gave and it’s working out great. We are using Fromm now and will continue.

I love American tail and will continue to get my food from them. My dog is a very picky eater I’ve never tried Fromm until the owner gave me samples to try and might I say my dog ate them up so fast I had to get a big bag. They also remembered me when I walked in. Oh they also have really unique collars. Thank you American tails !!!

A local favorite for my GSD puppy, Picasso, who is always greeted with great information and treats!!! They carry great selections of chews, supplements, food, natural dog treats! Most importantly its all American which is fitting for a healthy AKC working dog in training! Definitely a local favorite!

We are lucky to have a place like this in Lombard. American made food and supplies for all different types of pets, and the prices are very reasonable. Let’s reward locally owned shops that sell American made goods by stopping by and shopping often.
