Cool spot if you love antiques and enjoy browsing through countless items. I made a quick stop here while on my way to see the eclipse in Carbondale, Illinois. This was definitely one of my favorite things on the road as there isn't much to do or see down there.

This antiques mall is unbelievable! It occupies a former High school, with the retail space filling an entire huge gymnasium and more! Even though it is absolutely huge, the stalls are well organized and you don’t feel totally lost out that you might miss some stalls.Merchandise offered is diverse and most feels like good quality, not dime store junk. Many treasures to be found. In addition to the antique mall itself, there is an amazing vintage candy store and a combo 50’s diner with and attached twistees swirl ice cream restaurant. We only had ice cream…very tasty… but the food we saw looked good as well, and the staff was excellent all around!Extra bonus…there are fun statues on the site that you can go look at!

Absolutely loved it here! John and his beautiful wife were warm and welcoming. Lots of memorabilia from yesteryear, candies, Route 66 souvenirs, and a few handmade classic quilts stitched with love in every thread. Their fudge is made fresh on-site. I even got to meet the young lady responsible for making it! It is off the beaten path and worth the trip! Make sure to stop in!

It's definately a neat place to check out. I always passed by it on I-55. I decided to get a treat since I heard they had an awesome ice cream shop and it's not only an antique mall. Good spot to grab a quick bite and take pictures by all the awesome life size statues they have. I encourage travelers to check it out. The diner does give that Pleasantville movie 50's vibe. So pretty neat. Almost felt like I should've worn a swing skirt with a button up. Had a chocolate malt it was good. I couldn't leave without taking a close up of the Blues Brothers and Elvis.

This place is so cool! TONS of antiques, huge statues of animals, Trump, a Uni-Royal man, a UFO, candy store, gift shop, Twistee Treat ice cream shack, so many cool things here! Have driven by on interstate so many times and just had to stop in! You should stop by as well, you won’t regret it!

Nice variety of good things, prices were reasonable and so much to see. It's in an old school building, gym is the main store space, but utilized classrooms too.The stop is iconic with all types of crazy 🤪 props for pics, from an alien 👽 flying saucer to Bigfoot. They sell ice-cream too..

I love this place! You can get lost for hours here just exploring! There’s multiple levels & plenty of endless vendor stalls!!! Jewelry, historical military memorabilia, handbags, kitchen wares, hand crafted soaps, and even some new retail items from stores that closed. I was thrilled to find a 50 million year old fossilized fish for $14! 😮 Great deals! (I think it’s impossible to leave empty handed.) I spent too much time wandering around & didn’t get ice cream, so that will be the first thing I do when I visit again!

Lots of collectibles for every taste! Love the large eclectic items decorating the lawn and around the building. Large store. Enjoyed our visit and fantastic finds at great prices. Well worth taking time to visit!

Whether you have young children, kids, or none at all, the Mall has lots waiting for you. The outdoor attractions are fun, the antique mall is huge (and VERY well organized!), and the diner has good food that is made to order.

In Livingston, Illinois. Absolute fantastic. In a old school building you can spend a couple hours easy looking at all the neat stuff they have. They also have a candy shop in house that is wonderful. And I found my favorite candy there yesterday. Also they have a great little diner on property. If you're never been you got to check it out 💯

This was our first stop on one of our road trips and it should be yours too if you love antiquing or just looking at old stuff that you might have had as a kid -- or even maybe your parents had. If you get there early, you can always stop in their sweets shop to try out the fudge! In terms of how much time you should allot here, try at least a half hour. It might not look huge on Google Maps but it has a basement and an upstairs area! The staff is very friendly too. We would definitely stop here again if we were in the area.

I don't think I'll be going back. Half way through exploring the first level we learn there are two people walking around in a clown costume and mask and an alien costume. When the clown came by me I immediately told them no and put out my hand to stop and they did not listen whatsoever (guess that's what you expect from a place that supports trump). We left and when I called about when the clown might leave because I hadn't even gotten past the first floor, you could tell they had no idea what I was talking about. It's a shame to see how it's changed for the worse over the years.

Best ice cream I have had on Route 66. This beautiful unique antique and Soda Shop located in Livingston IL was just an amazing stop you could literally spend hours looking at all the treasures. We stopped because we passed this on the way to St. Louis and we had to check out the cool Muffler Men. It was very well maintained, we used the restrooms which were decorated in oldies colors. I love roadside attractions and I must stop if I see one. Stop out buy some antiques get a bite to eat and some ice cream you won't forget it.

Maan! This was a collectors dream!I wish to have same kinda at my own country!I felt kinda sad, cause I can't bring the stuff back home. Not enouhg space at my luggage🙁Staff was friendly and they informed me to singh a gestbook and putting a needle to a map, where I came! But actually they took 5$:s extra from me by accident. Did not see that one than after I droved 100miles, but no worries...Let it be as a present for a good place like this😅

We LOVE antique malls and often Google search them when on the road. We were headed from St Louis back to Indiana and came across Pink Elephant Antique Mall. What an amazing surprise. The quality of the merchandise was really nice. Lots of collectibles, artwork, coins, nicknacks, and SO much to see. And of course, the statues and stuff out front were so cool. This was a great re-use of an old school and it was incredibly well done. We would have loved staying longer but we had to get home. I have a buddy who, with his wife, hit antique malls all over. I sent him photos and told him they HAD to road trip it to this one. We had a GREAT time. Hope we have a chance to come back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This place is absolutely amazing!Pros: awesome store front with photo opportunities, nostalgic retro feel and decoration, corridors of eclectic stuff to explore, an attached diner to eat at when you are finished, a free way to spend an afternoon.Cons: Everything in the store is overpriced, so unless you feel like haggling or just want to look, you are going to have to fork over some money.Contingent con: Despite it being called an antique mall, many of their items are not antiques. Most of it was still cool, so it didn't bother me, but if you are looking for actual antiques, you are going to be sifting through a lot of stuff you don't care about.

We stopped at the Pink Elephant Antique Mall in early May 2023. I'll start with the attractions. They have a nice array of road side attractions, obviously to attract you to the store. I liked a few of them, like the Harley Davidson muffler man, the space ship and the hippopotamus. I felt bad that mr. giraffe had been blown over and damaged. Hopefully they'll get him back to health soon. The antique mall itself is set in the old school. It is multi floor and frankly, a little over whelming. But there is lots of stuff you could purchase to add to all the other stuff you probably already have. But at least it might be fun stuff. They also have a nice little candy shop with more stuff and of course, candy. They have a nice verity of candy for your indulgence. Then there is also the Twistee Treat Diner. They have more snack food and of course, ice cream in an old style ice cream shop. It's nicely done. The food was pretty good as well. All in all, a nice place to stop and spend time.

Had a great time at the 1st Annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt held 3/30/24 at this kitschy Rte. 66 gem. Great music by Whiskey River band, tasty cocktails provided by Hard Dog Cafe, 🔥 bonfire, Easter Basket judging, the Easter Bunny and an Elephant mascot working the crowd, axe throwing entertainment by The Axe Company and gobs & gobs of eggs to hunt over 8 acres! Gorgeous night, great raffle prizes, one of the loveliest fundraisers for a great local charity.

Such a delightful place, I mean Antiques, Diner, Candy Store, what more could one want inane visit. Not to mention all the fun statues to take pictures of along with bomb them with people. The vanilla & chocolate twist is so hard to find anymore & Lil Brother had the Banana Tornado & prices were reasonable too.Even got Skippy some ice cream. Then, the Fudge flavors are one of a kind, Jelly Donut really tastes just like the donut & not expensive at all.Antiques of all kinds, be careful. it's a little crowded as well. But, definitely something for every type of collector.Justa fun place to stop and shop, then eat and grab dessert.People were very friendly as well.Next, take your picture with A Giant Waitress, Twistee Treat Ice Cream Cone, Marilyn Monroe, Blues Brothers, Flying Suacer, Giant Tricycle, Giant Pink Elephant, you get the idea.Place to stop and stretch your legs from driving for a break before getting back on the road. You have to get ice cream before you leave. They have a new set of table and chairs that I just love as they are so cute.Even though the antique mall closes at 5:00, the Tastee Freeze is open much layer. No reason to rush they will be open check times.

Love browsing through the store!! So much to see and buy!! They have everthing!! I even seen a few toys that were mine when I was a little girl even had the same scratches on them. They also sell fudge which is very good!! And there is a 50's diner to grab a delicious lunch and ice cream soft serve for dessert. Truly something for everyone to see and enjoy!!! Always enjoy looking around.

Food wasn’t as good as the last time we were there and service was a little out of order/slow. Fries were dry/old/burnt and pickles were thick white ones that tasted more like cucumber than pickle. Only one bathroom for restaurant, antique mall, and candy store was a little tight. My son lost his tablet somehow that stayed in the van the whole time. It either fell out and someone took it home, or they got in somehow with no signs of break in. Staff was helpful looking for it and on cameras, but not found yet.Trip two: Went back and bought all the California Raisins I needed that I saw before…plus a bunch of kid toys. Food was awesome this time. Loaded up on Dippin Dots, Strawberry Twist Cone that was amazing, and Pretzels with cheese. The owner was even more awesome this time and reviewed the camera with better info from us in person, and we still couldn’t figure out what happened to it. They were a big help though, and all the staff was very friendly.

It's a slice of Americana for sure. My kids loved the many outdoor statues. There is an ice cream stand and a small snack shop inside. And, and, one of the largest indoor knickknack shops you will ever see. Bathrooms were not many, which is sort of important if your stopping to take a break, but they do have one for you if you need it. Good place to kill some time.
