I recently rescued a stray kitten, and this clinic was incredible and got us an appointment the following day! The staff were kind and courteous, and informational as well! They answered all questions I had to make sure our kitten was healthy, and took excellent care of her! Not only that, but the price was exceptionally affordable as well!I have another cat, and we will 100% be taking all of our business to AMC. Excellent work!

My husband and I have been taking all 7 of our dogs/cats to AMC for over 3 years now and my animals absolutely LOVE these doctors. They are amazing and know our pets by name (even have a nickname for 2 of them, lol). From just shots to surgery to getting nails clipped, AMC, Dr. Tori, Dr. Colleen and all of the wonderful techs and front desk girls have shown patience, empathy and tons of love to our babies. I would recommend AMC to anyone and will continue to use them as long as we have fur babies!! They are the best!!

I was not able to see Probts my normal vet so gave them a try. Not happy at all! They said my kitten had covid done blood work and gave antibiotics. When we got him home my husband found a worm in his mouth. We took him in to probes and learned he has heart worms. Why did this clinic not see this and treat it. He went an extra week without the proper meds and is still very sick. Will not be returning!

The staff is very friendly and helpful in answering questions and understanding care needed for pets. The doctor our cat saw made him comfortable, explained everything to us, and performed procedures with competence. We definitely will return here for prevention and if necessary illness treatments.

100% recommend this place! After not getting the proper treatment in Springfield for my bulldog for two weeks, I was referred to Dr. Helgen from a retired veterinarian/family friend. She knows what she's doing and prescribed my dog what he needed. A day later he was finally back to his normal self. Will definitely be using her in the future!

While it wasn't an emergency, I had found a very sick little kitten who needed to be seen sooner rather than later. The clinic was able to get me in first thing the next morning, and was so very good and gentle with this tiny little fluffball. The doc had everything checked out and all the necessary medications set up to get him back on the road to recovery in no time, and the entire staff was so pleasant and courteous to deal with. They took such good care of little Chirp, and he's already feeling noticeably better just this same afternoon! I used to go to a clinic in Springfield, as that is where I was from, but I am definitely moving all of my pets to AMC now! I could not be happier with the care, the courtesy, and the price I paid for the services I got. Thank you for everything!

Worked with me at first with my pups surgery and aftercare, it went well but since they are closed on weekends I had to spend hundreds at emergency clinic in Springfield, after spending 600 and some change on surgery. Also didn't tell me he was aggressive with them so now we have to work that out of him. Switched vets after getting a quote of almost 200 dollars for an ear infection visit. Not a bad place to take your pup by any means, just gets to be pretty pricey after a while. His veterinarian was lovely though!

Our pups had their first visit with Dr. Helgen this past week. Dr. Helgen was fantastic and her team was so friendly and helpful. She took the time to ask questions about each of our pups and get to know them. She gave great advice and was willing to look in to things we asked about if she was unsure. Great experience!! The Doctor and any of the staff I have had the pleasure to meet, have all gone WAY above and beyond to help our cat Evie. She's been through the trauma of dental extractions (at another amazing facility in Decatur) and I am very pleased with her treatment as she recovered. Highly, highly recommend!

I have a senior mixed breed dog. She’s had health issues since the day I adopted her. Dr. Helgen and her staff not only take great care of her, they’re very patient and understanding. Dr. Helgen knows her needs vary from day to day and works with me to insure my dog is happy and comfortable. For that, I’m extremely grateful!

Staff and doctor are really nice and know what they are doing. Place is very clean and well organized. The Doctor takes her time with each of our dogs. Dr Helgen really is up to date with the latest veterinary medicine.

One of the best Diagnostic Vets in the area. Very caring Doctor an staff. Dr. Helgen is a miracle worker. My cat Rambo had congestive heart failure last year. Thanks to Dr. Helgen he is still alive and doing very well. We appreciate her throughness, it saved Rambo's life. Worth every penny!

For a fierce anal gland infection, experienced vet instead of flushing them and injecting antibiotic ointment and oral antibiotics, merely gave a generic antibiotic and expressed them - totally ineffective. Since I was going out of state for an extended period, I was pretty miserable for a while. Next treatment was done properly - gone in a few days. Also no suggestion on how to avoid in the future. Milking the situation for some extra bucks I suspect. Meanwhile I suffered. Add some canned pumpkin to your food and this won't happen. Also find a vet practice that appears to like animals. AVOID.

I personally believe that this vet. Is horrible. My 2 dogs possibly got into rat poison and needed vitamin k1 for treatment and not having hundreds of dollars for exams they would not allow me to receive medicine for our beloved animals. And would rather see them possibly die , because all they care about is dollar signs instead of the love of animals. However the vet in Hillsboro Probst DMV immediately helped with the medicine for our animals out of true caring and love of animals and there owners.
