I’m hesitant to post this review because I really don’t care to deal with this company anymore, but ultimately I felt I needed to share my experience. I fully expect the owner to respond to this with some sort of defense that blames me for having unrealistic expectations. Let me first be very clear that I was entirely upfront with the owner and sitter in regards to the care that was needed. It was a special circumstance where my newer kitten needed to remain isolated in order to prevent possible spread of worms to my other cats. I indicated as much as possible he needed to be in his room with his litter box when the sitter left. I made it very clear if the sitter was not comfortable letting him out it was perfectly fine to leave him in his room for the duration of the weekend. When I expressed my concerns to the owner prior to the stay, I was met with something along the lines of this isn’t our first rodeo and we’re professionals. The first night the sitter came to feed them, she left the door open and my kitten ran out. The sitter then lied about it and the owner tried to blame me for not being clear enough in my instructions. I left multiple written pages of instructions, pictures of each cat, and I let them know that I had cameras so they would be recorded during the visits. I have footage of the sitter entering the room, leaving the door open a crack for some reason, and my kitten across the room taking 60 seconds before deciding to bolt from the room. It was clear based on the sitter’s reaction this was unintentional on their part. The sitter was unable to isolate him again for the duration of the stay. Without going into much more detail I found this service to be untrustworthy and unreliable. I was appreciative that the owner refunded me for the last visit after the sitter forgot (or received miscommunication from the owner), they were supposed to come for one last check in. I spent much of my time on my trip having to deal with the multiple mistakes made by this company and often having to defend myself to the owner who was not customer service oriented in most cases. I do not recommend them for cats. Maybe they’re better able to handle dogs. I’m grateful my cats were fed and the litter boxes were cleaned but when I got home I found my kitten had been chewing on electrical wires that were plugged into an outlet. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable using their service in the future.

Kat and her team are great! Dog walk, vacation care, etc. I've used her many times. During one of my vacations, my cat had an asthma attack and the sitter was able to give him his meds and provided daily updates. They saved m y vacation!

We just used Kat's service for the third time and we couldn't be happier that we found this company! It is apparent that our cat was well cared for. It is amazing to be able to go away without worrying about our best buddy 🙂The staff did a fabulous job keeping us updated with texts, images and detailed notes upon our return. They even cleaned up when he got sick which is above and beyond! Their service is exceptional and the owner is a pleasure to work with. I can't recommend this company enough. You will not be disappointed.

We have been using A Happy Pet for almost 7 years now I think, and they have been nothing but fabulous! Kat, the owner, is so accommodating, nice and easy to work with. She makes working with them so easy and enjoyable. We have had different people walk our dog throughout the years and they all have been awesome. I've been home many times when they have come to walk our dog and I see how excited our dog gets to see her walker arrive, so I know she is getting taken care of very well. We humans and our dog love A Happy Pet and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet.

This was our first time using A Happy Pet or any professional pet sitter. We could not have been happier with the service. We needed daily visits for guinea pigs, which generally do not handle change well. They did great during our absence and were in great spirits when we returned so I they were well care for. Thank you. A Happy Pet was responsive to questions and inquiries. I would recommend and will use them again myself.

GREAT experience. Owner and sitter did a meet and greet visit prior to our trip, and sitter took great care of our cats while we were gone, it was a huge relief to know that someone was keeping an eye on them and making sure they were still loved in our absence!! Thank you again so much!

I've used A Happy Pet regularly for severall years. I've always been very satisfied with the professional and loving service. The staff is outstanding. The owner is the best. I highly recommend them. I've used their services for daily dog walks and boarding. It's always a peace of mind knowing my dog is on vacation and well taken care of when I'm out of town and on vacation myself. They're the best!

We have boarded our dog for extended period of time, and could not be happier with the choice we've made! Our dog is extremely social, and does not take solitude or being locked up well. That was one of the factors in our decision to use A Happy Pet. He got so much more! Human contact, constant companionship of other pets, Kat and even her kids! Our dog was well taken care of both physically and mentally! I can't praise enough!
