Visiting from England last week and we came across The Shake Shack whilst driving the old route 66 on our way back to Chicago. What can I say, the food we had was some of the best we'd had the whole trip. Top quality burgers and shakes. Great atmosphere of an authentic diner and the girl that was working that day that was part of the family business couldn't have been more polite and friendly. Made us feel really welcome and very chatty. If you're in the area this place is a must, but make sure you're hungry. I'm a big eater and struggled to finish my meal. Very reasonably priced too. All in all a great experience. Well done guys.

My first visit was on May 5th. The food was delicious. Our waitress was absolutely the BEST. Her name is Keira ( might be spelled wrong). She took care of all the tables and the counter and phone. She greeted us with a smile and the whole time we were there she kept that smile on. She was very patient with my granddaughter and other kids that were there. My granddaughter complimented her one her necklace. As my granddaughter was sitting outside eating her ice cream after our lunch Keira went out and gave my granddaughter her necklace and helped her put it on. I made sure to get her name. This young lady should be very proud of herself for the polite, respectful and caring service she gives to her customers. Thank you again Keira for making my first experience there an amazing one.

This is such a childhood restaurant for me. Great ice cream for the summer. Best coleslaw ever. Pulled pork sandwiches and spicy chicken sandwiches are some faves. Family friendly.Parking: Right by the restaurant. Not a whole lot of space, but somehow holds infinite cars.Kid-friendliness: Amazing. Servers are nice, decorations everywhere, amazing vibe, radio is going, high chairs available. If you bring sharpies you can sign your name on the back wall.

Edit: Score dropped due to poor experience. The most recent visit included:--A horseshoe that isn't a horseshoe. it's a piece of chicken (the same you would see used for a chicken sandwich) with a bunch of fries thrown on top.--Charged for tap water! (we were dining in)--Upcharged $1.00 for sprinkles on ice cream!Nickel and diming customers for tap water and sprinkles isn't going to win people over.Original post:Friendly staff. Good, fast food. Great retro style walk up food stand, serving a wide selection of treats, burgers, pizza, ice cream and much more. Conveniently located near downtown Lexington and with plenty of parking. The staff is courteous and attentive with a family feel. Nice experience!

Amazing bacon double cheeseburger. Perfectly cooked fries with cheese sauce. Food is so fresh! So glad I stopped in.

Working in the area and came to eat with a coworker and I had the grilled chicken sandwich with French fries and chips and my coworker had a double burger with onion rings and shredded pork, no complaints here, will definitely be back. Good food, good service 👍🏽. Thanks

Simply THE BEST. Every time I am in the area I go out of my way to visit these wonderful people. The restaurant is simple but very comfortable. The food is always outstanding and the wait staff is always excellent.A true Lexington treasure and a true do not miss. My personal favorite is their double cheeseburger and a shake. Both are among the best I have ever had.

Great food. Best ice cream in the REGION. This soft serve is the best combination of not too sweet, icy grain texture, coldness. It’s perfect. Tenderloins and fries are really good. Quiet, small town location. They have a little porch outside under their roof where you can eat. Cozy. Interior has years and years of charming high school graffiti with a few tables and five or so bar stools at the counter.

Shake is a good local stop. Basically the whole menu is good. They have a variety of unique burgers including one that has *two* half pound patties. Their ice cream and fried foods are all good too

Great food and shakes. Loved the peanut butter shake, tasted like Reece's puffs cereal to me. Just ordered at the window and waited for the food in the parking lot, easy to social distance

Mom and I were visiting my mom's friend and that friend's father out in Lexington. We stopped for a quick bite here after, mom loved her pulled pork, I loved my horseshoe, then we both loved the Royale ice cream and shake combo.But what we really loved was the friendly home town atmosphere.Kate was our server, and as we were about to leave, someone pulled in to the parking lot asking about directions to a park. We had no clue, but when we asked Kate she went the extra mile to go outside and point out directions to the park. I think that is just being a good human being, and she deserves a shout out for her great service and being awesome!! My mom wants to go back anytime we pass Lexington. Thank you guys!

I love my burgers and I love my shakes... And I travel like crazy... Hands down, The Shake Shack 's Moo Cluck Oink is one of the best, if not the best burger I can remember having. And that Chocolate shake was outstanding.We got off that exit and Mcdonalds was not an option. Finding The Shake Shack was the best afternoon possible and going that mile and some off the exit was more than worth it!!!!
