What a great place to stop at for home projects. If you need it they have it! Helpful staff that is there for the Community. I needed some electrical parts for switches in my home that we updated..... They had all the parts I needed with a great selection. What would Galena do without that staff that they keep on hand. I was able to quickly get 2 small allen head screws in metric and black anodized for my Jonsered chainsaw to replace the worn muffler bolts.

Nothing better than a real hardware store. Sure, the big box stores are great when you want variety, but nothing replaces the person touch and interaction with the same employees on every visit. The team at Gasser knows where everything is and will literally walk you to whatever you need, answer every question and happily deliver great service. You can walk into the same Big chain hardware store everyday and it’s new people all the time that will walk past you or if you’re lucky enough to get someone to stop, they’ll call someone else over…as it’s “not their department”. Lucky to have Gasser True Value close by.

I rented a trencher yesterday and could not have been happier with it. The machine was in great shape and was easy to use. It ran very well and dug quickly. The crew at Gasser is top notch! Highly recommended!

The staff is always so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. During our first visit, we were looking for a way to paint over silicone caulk which is typically not something you can paint over; we were given a fairly inexpensive idea of what to try next. We liked that the employee was trying to keep the price down for what was just a small project.

This store is superb. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store has everything you need for your home and more. They even have tools and equipment to rent. The cleanliness and organization of the store is very inviting. We will definitely shop here more.

Everyone working was so polite, helpful and eager to make sure I found everything I needed. They are right at the entrance of town, surprising I never saw them before. I really love the fact that I can get a lot of hardware store supplies without going all the way to Dubuque. Thanks for being here!

Shopped at True Value my whole life it was always a hundred percent satisfaction every time until this evening when I called ahead to see if I could get my gas tank filled knowing it was almost closing time and they told me to come on up I expected nonetheless but when I got up there I was told we're closed and that they'd already shut the tanks off 10 minutes ago which was before closing time even. so my word of advice to you all is do not mess with their closing time or an assistant manager will be empowered to tell you they cant help you, even after saying it was ok on the phone. I know I would have been helped if Rob or Greg would have been there.have a nice day

Manager is great. Rest of the staff is great. If they don't have something, they can order it or give you good advice on where to get it. Bought many of my fruit trees, starts, and garden tools here. It's the first place I stop for most of my hardware needs as a resident of Galena.

Above and beyond customer service! Always friendly and willing to help without being pushy. Went in a couple of weeks ago looking for a shipping box. They said they didn't carry any but said they might have some boxes laying around in the back. She asked me the measurements and returned with a box almost exactly like the size I needed. She didn't have to go out of her like that, but she did. It's the little things and Gassers is always great at that!

A well stocked hardware store. They are good at helping show you the general area where you will find what you want, but the staff will then go back to whatever it is they were doing. Expect prices to be a little higher than big box stores.
