Stopped in with my wife for some Ice cream and am really glad we did. We drive through the area frequently during the summer and now have a new place to stop. The young woman working was very friendly and attentive. My wife is very picky about her ice cream and was thoroughly impressed. We were also just overwhelmed with how adorable and well behaved the pup was, she was just a joy to pet. We will definitely be back to grab some coffee or lunch in the future!

My friend and I came at the end of the day so we were the only people in the deli besides the worker. She was very nice to us and served our ice cream with a smile. The inside of the deli was very pleasing to look at with many products from local businesses. If you're looking for some quality cheese, meat, and delicious ice cream I definitely would stop by Barrel and Brie.

I travel in this area for work often. I eat lunch here every time I am in the area, about twice per month. This place is by far the best option for a quick lunch in NW IL. They always have tasty specials, and the build your own sandwich or wrap option is so convenient, fast, and always tastes fresh. The staff is very friendly and the prices affordable. They also sell a variety of local items like cheeses, meats, jarred goods, alcohol and more. In the summer you can sit outside on the picnic tables and enjoy the couple of animals they have roaming about. This place is excellent in every regard.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies on the menu as well as fried items like French fries and cheese curds.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: No stairs required so easy in and out for wheelchairs.

Not worth the 30 min wait..only ordered 2 drinks..staff not capable of multitasking.Atmosphere was okay, not sure they're suppose to have a dog running around in a food business.Owner did apologize for wait, still wasn't great customer service. For a wait that long, it would have been nice to have been offered the coffee for free, or even something small, like a cookie.

I want to thank Kim for taking care of me. With maple syrup season in full swing and I know how fast they sell out of the syrup they make and I won't be able to make it there for awhile Kim took a order for me and mailed me 2qts of their amazing syrup. I received in 2 days and have already enjoyed it on my pancakes. Thank you Kim and ScottAlso if you get a chance to stop at the barrel and brie you will not be disappointed go hungry and have some pulled pork taco or brisket. And they have so many other products from cheese wine and many other treats. First time visit this place. This is not just deli, it is also small store where they sell meat, cheese, jams, and many others. Also they have small ice cream shop too.I ordered sandwich, Cajun Turkey with Jalapeños muenster with spicy ranch and rye along with tomato, lettuce and black olives. Very delicious.I would visit again when I am back in town.

I have passed by Barrel and Brie so many times I lost count. Well I finally stopped in and wondering why it took me so long. This place is very relaxing and the Ice Cream is the Best.

Great place to stop for lunch or ice cream. Lots of artisan things to buy in the shops, pricing isn’t bad for a small biz. Family of five on our way camping were able to get a sandwich, bottle drink, and chips or cookie for about $8-9 each. Kids loved being able to order their own sandwiches and each said they were “so delicious, we need to eat here again”. They also enjoyed being able to look at the farm animals while we ate. Will definitely stop again if we come this way again.

Fantastic beef brisket sandwich. Best I have had in years. The price was half of what I would have paid in the Chicago area. Very friendly people and we bought a brisket to take home. We will stop here every tomw we head to the Galena area.

I had the bacon, egg , and Colby jack cheese on Texas toast bfast sandwich on Friday..fresh..hot..and delicious!! Tons of bacon and definitely farm fresh eggs. Tuesday I stopped for lunch and got the pulled pork quesadilla. It was the tastiest smoked pork I've eaten..and I have a smoker! It made my day..stop in and treat yourself..great prices and quality food!

Are family has campouts and we take a wagon ride over to Barrel and Brie and get ice cream they are so friendly we take about 15 people over and they are so patient with us. My grandchildren love there ice cream and chickens

Barrel & Brie is a unique Store and Restaurant to get what you need. Breakfast Sandwiches to go are awesome. Coffee can be flavored with your whatever is your flavor is. Their ice cream creations make a hot summer day better. Bakery products are a great snack. Grab your favorite cut of meat to grill for dinner. Easy in and out on Rt 20!

Nice place and kid friendly options either healthy or rewarding food and snacks.Too many quality things to list so I will do a short list. Sandwiches cheese meat sausage ice cream I did see a batista so I believe there is a nice selection of coffee cold brew and hot.I saw nice steaks for sale.These were for sale in a cooler.Ipurchased some smoked meats.This was my first visit so I did see alot but surely missed more.There was a cooler with milk white as well as strawberry and chocolate. The syrup they had on hand that stood out was Ghirardelli. As this is just my opinion of a localy owned establishment I hope you will take my advice as there is a large lot to park and even enjoy your purchase.There must also be brie and wine along with the jars of honey and crafts.More on that next trip to this clean cheery place in a nice small town in Illinois.
