Check out ladies are always very nice. They have a lot of great pre-cooked food good selection. Deli counter is very well organized and they have a great selection. It's a little pricey for me but when I'm looking for specialty items I like to go here. Flowers are a good price as well. That reminds me I have to buy some for the wife good luck everyone please like if this is helpful

I usually don’t shop here but it’s close by so I thought I’d try it today. I was having a hard time finding a couple things and saw someone filling the meat so I politely asked if he could point me in the direction of a few things I was in need of. Jesus was nice and friendly he asked me how my day was going and quickly took me to the things I couldn’t find. Jesus went above and beyond to make my experience faster and easier! It’s refreshing to see nice people working at my local grocery store. I will be back (:

This grocery store always has what we need and then some. All of the employees are top-notch! So very friendly, always smiling and saying hello. It really feels and looks like one of those grocery stores you see in a Hallmark movie. We moved to Willow Springs recently and have gone to the Willowbrook location and could not believe the difference. We did not like it at all in comparison to the Lemont location. We now take the drive to the Lemont location, and it's worth it! The freshest meat and produce around! Also, the friendliest and most professional employees. Thank you, Pete's Lemont!!

Pete’s is the best grocery store in the area hands down. The produce is always amazing, the staff is always making rounds like clockwork to make sure everything is always well stocked, and the place is organized to a T. It even smells clean when you walk in. Their deli section is also fantastic although they don’t offer a dry aged kosher salami option like some other nearby places do. Their meats and fish selection is fantastic as well as their ethnic food selection. Their pre-seasoned poultry and meat options are also delicious! They even had PEONIES my heart was in heaven. The only major let down is that its more expensive than everywhere else. My groceries always come out much more expensive here than everywhere else and that has made me shop at other places I don’t enjoy as much unfortunately.

OK so this is my go-to for produce in lemont. Their produce section is always super fresh, stocked, and I can always find what I'm looking for even if it is an item for a more ethnic dish, they have a really wide variety of all fruits and vegetables.The sushi bar is good, there's a fresh juice section, they make salsa and guacamole too.The hot bar is extensive, and is a popular lunch spot for people grabbing a meal to go. Soup and salad bar have many choices too.Grocery prices are fair but I can do better elsewhere normally, I'm really coming here for more specific items other than grocery.

Great hot food bar!! Unfortunately I had a hard time using the electric scotters for disabled customers. It went dead in the produce dept. One genuine employee went and got me a different scooter. But, my issue is I saw no electric outlets in the exit area were these scotters are stored. This means Pete's doesn't care for all their customers. Disappointed.

The smallest Pete's fresh market I've ever been in, still had a terrific selection of fruit and vegetables. Always worth the time. Can't wait to have one out of New Lenox.

Absolutely love the buffet,excellent food and great cooks.Wish they would have a one price all you could eat lunch .The employees are very friendly and responsive to your needs.

Sorry but I’m not impressed anymore by this Pete’s Fresh Market. They’re expanding everywhere and the prices are ridiculous. I’m a retired senior and I can’t comprehend paying $1.50 for a red onion or $5.00 for a loaf of Sourdough bread . Their buffet is now $10.99 lb.And why is their produce all the same size? Don’t farmers grow small onions or small peppers anymore? The pork chops in the meat section were all fatty and looked grayish like they were frozen and then thawed. Even the dry pasta section is no longer impressive.They used to be a great market years ago with the original on south Pulaski in Chicago.Now theyre just guilty of greed.

Should be a 11. but will not let me do that. I live in Texas. But have a home still in Lemont. Love this place. Fresh juice, good bread. Awesome food bar. And all world selection. See my photos. Bought at 8:15 pm on the Sunday night of Labor Day.

I love Pete’s. Fresh produce, hard to find ingredients and herbs. Delicious Prosciutto. Hands down my favorite store. Actually went there this weekend and they happened to be having a liquor and wine tasting event. It was really fun and I won steak knives and we had a nice buzz going as we walked around the store and bought more than we came in for.

Great grocery store. Petes has a hot and cold food Buffett that is larger than Mariano’s and of equal quality. An Eastern European influence in the variety of products. Definitely worth a visit.

Very impressed with how organized the fruit and juice section was. Love the quality of their sushi rolls, fresh cut fruit, and fresh squeezed juices. A bit pricey compared to other stores but worth treating yourself every now and then. Wish they had a location in northwest Indiana

Great staff - everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Produce is so fresh, smoothies are delicious. Kids love the premade food, salad bar, hot food, burgers and chicken sandwiches. Can't beat the prices.Pictured is taffy apple salad from the salad bar! Yummy

I went here yesterday, I usually shop at Petes in the city. I was out this way after a run to IKEA, so I didn't want to have to wait till the city and this one was on the way back home. It's nothing like the stores in the city, it was much more expensive. The selection were much smaller and everything seemed kinda cramped together. I couldn't get past the prices, so I did get some items so that it wasn't a complete waste. I brought quarter cut watermelon, unwrapped the one today and the bottom was completely covered in dirt. Very off putting since I'm 5 months pregnant and was craving watermelon, I just end up throwing it out.

The deli section used to be the star of the store, as service was first rate. In the past 2 to 3 months, it is now the worst section. Zero customer service and people looking at you in line, but doing other work. The poor guy here has 4 to 5 people in line now with zero help but the other employee just doing.other work. This is common now. Sad!

This is my first time here and damn do the security treat you like a criminal.I got recommended to go here because my friends love it so I decided to go check it out. I was just walking around browsing and 3 security were following me the whole time. I got very uncomfortable and checked out early. I only got to see half the store. I don't know if they were following me because I'm a younger guy or because I'm a Hispanic. Very disappointing though

Produce is amazing!! I like it because it's not such a huge store. We go for the meat selection and fresh produce. The hot and cold buffets have a huge variety, and are delicious. It's well worth the trip.

The store itself is very clean and nicely stocked, but everything is just way too expensive. Throughout the store, I would take an item off the shelf only to put it back after realizing how much it was. I would only shop at Pete's if I absolutely couldn't find it anywhere else.

I really like Pete's, they have lots of fresh produce for pretty reasonable prices and a decent amount of international stock. One thing that really bothers me however is that the fresh fish section has shrunk dramatically and removed their wild raw shrimp entirely. After these shrimp farms in third world countries have pretty much gone viral on their unhygienic practices (for those who don't know 'farmed shrimp' especially from countries like Vietnam or Indonesia have horrible farming practices where there shrimp are raised in tiny over crowed ponds that are full of their own waste. Essentially these shrimp live, eat, breath their own waste until they 're harvested. I'd expect more from grocery stor3s at this point in time especially with most people having access to the internet these days and these practices being exposed. I'm not going to spend my hard earned cash on bland rubbery fish that's been raised in a third world country. Please bring back the good stuff, the stuff that comes from our own ocean!

I came in today to do an instacart order. Mind you this isn’t the first time I have done orders at this store but I notice it’s been a pattern. I would get weird looks by the worker. And when I go to check out one cashier would reject me and force me to go to someone else and they will take someone after me…and today I looked to see if that was going to happen and it did. I got rejected and the cashier took a white man but didn’t want to check me out. I am a well educated, overly hard working wife, mom, daughter, etc. I didn’t come in the store doing the most or causing any issues. So to get that treatment didn’t make sense to me and even my husband felt it. TEACH YOUR WORKERS DIVERSITY TRAINING ! And for the workers you don’t know who you will come across in life that you can network with. If you mistreat someone now and they remember how you treated them no one will look out for you. Learn to treat people fairly unless they have given you a reason not to. This is a teachable moment .

This is a nice store overall, but if you buy strawberries here, you should be aware that the staff in the produce department sort through them and package them using their bare hands. I don't know if this is a food handling violation, but it seems gross to me. After observing this practice several times, I suggested to the management that the staff wear plastic gloves while handling the strawberries. This would be a simple step to help ensure food safety, but I noted while shopping at Pete's this morning that nothing has changed. So I decided to post this review.
