Apparently basic math is not a requirement to be employed here. After explaining to the cashier Kylie that I am filling another four five gallon jugs but already have 21/2 gallons in them from a previous jewel where the water refill machines went down. That I will pay for that half gallon and lose that difference. She did not understand this and said we don’t charge a half gallon. So I’m telling her I’m coming back to fill four more five gallon jugs but already have two gallons in one. The nun standing in line with us seemed to understand the nun told Kylie what’s not to understand he’s coming back to fill another twenty gallons but 2 gallons are already in them already so charge him for 18 gallons pretty simple. Kylie said until it’s in front of me I don’t see it, so I brought the jugs in and showed her the 2-1/2 gallons before I filled them and she still charged me for twenty gallons sorry Kylie but when you work in a customer service field you need to leave your transgressions at home I noticed your attitude change all three times you seen me the first time in line I noticed your look and attitude towards me before I even got in front of you what’s up with that? Being a nice guy I walked away from your attitude after saying you don’t get the two gallon concept and you said you disputed that at another jewel.

While it's nice to have a Jewel nearby, there's a pattern at this store that needs attention. If there's a popular item on sale, chances are you won't find it on the shelf, and there's no apparent effort to restock sold-out items. This is inconvenient for shoppers, and it also somewhat deceptive. Doesn't the term "on sale" suggest that the item is actually "for sale"? Not here, apparently. Just today I went in to buy Swans Down Cake Flour, only to find that the item was on sale and that the shelf was, of course, empty. When I approached the manager about this, he discovered that there were four cases in the back and got me a box. Although this was helpful, my experience illustrates the prevailing pattern, where the shelf is empty but no one notices or takes the initiative to restock the sale item. Some attention to this problem would be much appreciated.

I’m normally not a huge fan of Jewel, but the bakery blew me away this past week. Needed a last minute smash cake for a fiesta. Ordered the day before and it turned out amazing. They also had a bunch premade that could have worked with the theme. Thank you!

The people at this jewel are really nice , clean store, prices not so good considering inflation. They also have a big liquor section, abundant vegetables to choose from, bakery has delicious selections

This is the one of the most well organized Jewel locations Ive ever seen. Everything was very well stocked and they have endless options. They have things you didn’t think you’d need until you walk in. Theyre preprepared dinners are delicious and fantastically portioned. They have delicious stuffed mushrooms among other things! I highly recommend!

Very clean and organized store they have about legit everything you need from produce to gift cards, outside patios, medicine even flowers and other gifts but what mostly impressed me is the the very very very clean floors im talking about shine to it see ur reflection damn near I was very impressed 👍👍

I bought some garlic cloves the other and the taste is awful, I didn't realize it was the chinese garlic, bleached and full of pesticides. I thought it was supposed to me marked? I usually check but this batch got by me.

Store is clean, restrooms are also clean, the area by the Deli was clean and the food was looking very good and appetizer. I was in the Deli department waiting for about 10 minutes, I have to call somebody to help the guy and a very polite lady came quickly and help us with our food.

Love this Jewel. Super clean store! Everyone is so friendly. From the whole front end all the way to the meat department and in between. Glad the deli stays open later. Alex and Trace in the deli are super!!!!!

It's jewel what can ya say. Good selection, decent sales, easy to order large beverage orders. Bakery is great and deli has picked up the pace and now runs faster, the butcher has some good cuts and the mango lime salmon is the best!

Terrible customer service experience. Service desk has no one helping customers. No one has a clue how to help out customers. Employees walking around. I suggested going to Pete's for a company that cares. Jewel service isn't what it use to be.

This is my first time eating at the branded restaurant. I have to say I am impressed. The fish was actually cod, with big flake and very tasty, and cooked perfectly with not too much batter. The fries were really good too. I would eat here again.

I want to thank Kathy O for her kindness and support. I was frustrated with the Jewel app, the items I purchased didn't reflect the sale price after clipping the coupons for the items. Kathy walked me thru the new process once, then needed to do it again. Kathy was patient, knowledgeable and reassuring. I was happy to interact with such a nice person in customer service. Kudos to your store to have such great employees.

This store overall is fine. I buy from the deli and sushi section frequently, however, after my most recent experience I don’t think I will again. I bought a happy heart platter of sushi and had gotten to the tail piece of a roll with shrimp in it. As I separated the tail from the sushi piece I noticed a brown line in the middle. The shrimp had not been deveined, and I had eaten an entire roll that contained shrimp poop. I did end up throwing up, and I could not eat for the rest of the day or today because I keep thinking about the shrimp roll and how many rolls I must have eaten with fecal matter from here. This experience has permanently ruined shrimp rolls for me. I’ll probably still continue shopping here, but I won’t be visiting the deli anymore.

Bakery:Alyssa in the bakery is a rockstar. We put in a after-hour cake order on 1/5/23. We needed it by 1/7/23. When we went to pick it up it wasn’t done. Since it got written out after hours it wasn’t put in the right spot. They had the order still and it was seen but nothing conspired about making it or having it ready on January 7. So when we went to pick it up I could see panic on Alyssa’s face. She looked in both coolers frantically, apologizing over and over when she realized it was y there. We were upset naturally but what could we do? We started looking at other cake options. Alyssa said she could have it done in 30 minutes if we wanted to wait. I felt bad that she’d have to rush to make it, it was later in the evening about 5:50 pm. I knew she’d be getting off soon. I asked her what time she got off and she replied 7. I was like oh no you’re getting off soon I don’t want to put that stress on you or risk having you stay past your shift time. She was very adamant that it would be no problem and felt bad that it was never made. It was our sons 7th birthday, his golden birthday. He was very upset his cake didn’t get made so we took Alyssa up on her offer and waited. Again ROCKSTAR!! This girl went above and beyond to make our sons golden birthday extra special. It’s very rare nowadays to have such dedicated employees that sincerely care about what they do for a living. Alyssa is one of those rare souls.* If you see this Alyssa we are eternally grateful for you and what you did for our family and making our little guys birthday so memorable. Thank you again so very much!

Decent store in general, but I try to avoid the deli in the early morning. The girl that is typically there in the morning is terribly slow. Her arm literally looks like it is in slow motion when using the slicers. The guys are much better and can get 2 or 3 people done with the time it takes her to get my order. My luck I almost always seem to get her :( Store seems to be out of certain drinks pretty often, but I think that is because of supply issues, not just the store not stocking. Grocery pickup is hit or miss here. I usually have to wait around 10 min for them to come out after I check in, and have waited as long as 25, which was ridiculous.

I really prefer this location as things generally are very neat and usually produce is very fresh. Just watch your dates on your dairy products. Today I was looking to purchase a half gallon of Lactaid and the expiration date was for 2 days ago. The carton right behind it had an expiration date for a month from today. Somebody missed that. Overall very good quality otherwise!

Shops here every Tuesday. Today lady at the service desk ( curly hair , glasses , about 50ish) watched me like a hawk while I self scanned $122 worth of groceries , and had the nerve to come over and make sure I scanned my pop! I complained to the company and am still waiting to hear back from the store. Would hate to have someone else feel as terrible and as small as I did

Deli hours cut back. Told it was all locations. It's not. Just this one. Go one town over and they're open until 8pm; not 5pm (but really anytime between 4 and 5pm). Way to choose a high-demand department to make your Store payroll cuts.

I instacart for a living and shop here weekly for my personal use. The items are always easy to find and the donuts are delicious. The produce quality is great, with very fresh fruits and veggies of all kinds, shapes, and sizes. Overall, I’d definitely try to shop here—if you can!

Yesterday I had a very unpleasant experience with one of the cashiers in Jewel Osco by the name of Donna. Right when I walked up to the cashier she did not bother to say hello and had an attitude, me and my friend were purchasing a wine bottle, when she asked for an ID my friend provided her an ID that was valid, but Donna said she could not take it and immediately put the wine bottle aside and said she can't sell it. She never had a problem with her ID before and was always accepted , even in this same Jewel Osco just at a different cashier. When we asked to speak to the manager she did not even bother to call them over and continued having an attitude. I am very disappointed as this isn't the first time I've encountered this problem with the same cashier, this has happened before with my mother who as well provided a valid ID and was not able to purchase alcohol.

They have a very disappointing bakery. I bought a cake from the "fancy" case. I asked if it was fresh. The lady said yes. We cut into it all the frosting came off and was hard as a rock. Cake was dry and fell apart. This isn't the first time i had issues. The last time i bought it to the attention of the manager and he asked me what do u want me to do.. I can't fix it.

Visit to Jewel today was great, they had everything we needed and staff were friendly and helpful! Also, I was very pleased to see that Jewel is still requiring masks and that all customers that I saw were following the guidelines.

its just another jewel osco. It does have some great employees and some that have attitudes. Not my favorite shopping store but it definitely has everything you'll need, unless you're shopping for power tools. Easy to see, with a ton of parking available at all times

At the height of the pandemic I was doubling masking because my husband was fighting cancer so I had to be extremely careful. I went into Jewel in Lemont as I was coming in a deli worker had her mask on her chin while talking to a person who might have been a supervisor. I told her that her mask wasn't keeping anyone safe. I was almost done when I saw the day manager with his mask off talking to a employee by the flower department. I told him he was the second person I seen that had a mask off he did proceed to put it back on. I was very upset and I left and reported him. Granted I might have over reacted but because of my health problem and my husband I couldn't take any chances. So I didn't return for quite a while and when I did the manager was in the customer service desk and leaning back and staring me down with a grin on his face that I took as trying to intimidate me. I want him to know he didn't intimidate me I am a strong women who wouldn't let a man bully me.

First with the positives, the employees are are friendly and eager to help you if you cannot find an item. Also the store itself is clean and neat.One thing that the store does not have and I miss, is the list of items and which row you can find them in in.Almost every Jewel set up differently so this list is very convenient when you just need a few items and you don't want to bother somebody to help you it's usually found and then kept in the middle or front.Now for the not so positives,I wouldn't say they're negative but it does weigh heavily on my review.This location is on the smaller side when you consider it in comparison to most other jewels you have been to.Because of this there is a medium to medium small variety especially when it comes to spices. While you're walking down the aisles, it kind of Bill's close in and cluttered.I know this is a petty one and trust me I would not bring it up except for the lighting.In this Jewel-Osco they have hanging lamps for the lighting and because of this it is very dim.Overall, the jewel employees and the way they keep and run the store is extremely satisfactual.If it just wasn't for the actual size of the store and variety offered, it would be much better.
