She ghosted us. I have taken my 2 dogs here a few times and I always pre schedule all there appointments 8 weeks and I scheduled an appointment for October 13 and we showed up and I texted and no response called with no response and went up to the door and no response she just ghosted us. Now weeks later with still no response. Got my dogs groomed at a new place and will never go back here!

Business is temporarily closed, as owner became unexpectedly incapacitated in early October. Her husband felt it wasn’t important to inform clientele that their appointments were canceled.I’m leaving this here in the hopes whomever needs to see this will see it and not think Melissa ghosted them. I will remove this review when the situation changes.

I feel that Melissa is very passionate about her profession and she is taking such great care of each and every “fur baby” that she did not that 1 star review or comment about a “real job”. If I need a haircut I make an appointment and wait for the next available time. My barber can’t cut my son’s hair until the end of next week, do I insult him and tell him to get a “real job”? Maybe you should plan in advance if you know your baby needs a haircut rather than blame the groomer for your poor time management. I love Melissa and her family they are always loving and genuine when I provide my “service” to them and they deserve the same respect. Rock on girl! I think you always deserve 5 stars!!!- RHI.:))

UPDATE: We used Melissa’s for more than 7 years, even the week our dog suddenly passed (unrelated!). As our dog aged, we appreciated Melissa even more for the calm setting, and the individualized attention she gave our dog and each of her clients’ pets. Honestly, we will miss seeing her each month! Some of our friends have changed over to her as well.ORIGINAL. Found Melissa’s Passion for Paws via Yelp, after several unhappy experiences elsewhere recently. Melissa’s scheduling and communications were awesome. Although we arrived during a rainy downpour, the setting is peaceful and quiet, and quickly calmed my dog. Melissa asked good questions about our expectations, and even had several suggestions. My dog is 55 lbs. with a thick coat, but she was perfectly bathed, trimmed, and ready in just over 90 minutes! And importantly my dog was happy, too. The price was competitive. I will definitely use Melissa again! The positive reviews are true!

Tried to make an appointment for a haircut and was turned away because I requested a time around 4:00 if possible. She said she was booked through the rest of the year when I asked what day might work for her. So if you're looking for a haircut here you'll have to go with what time she's willing to cut your dogs hair. This makes it almost impossible for people with real jobs who are trying to find a place to get there pets hair cut.

Wanted to try her out- was able to get us in the next morning for a quick nail trim. Super friendly, great pricing. Gave a reasonable quote for a full grooming, which includes services the big pet stores charge a la carte. Definitely going back, and recommend to others. We've found our new groomer!
