I'm so happy with my experience at Shaggy Dog. I was able to get in quickly which was a relief since my cats hair was facing some issues with mattes. Dawn shaved him perfectly- I was told cat skin is paper thin which makes this even more impressive. He was ready in a matter of hours and I know he was treated with the utmost care. Dawn is fantastic at what she does, and it's a rare skill to find in the burbs. Everyone there was friendly from start to finish. I will be back!

Love Shaggy Dog Shop!Worth our 80+ min drive!Truly!The whole staff seems absolutely delightful but also, there is a clear calm that permeates the shop….In her later years, our dog has become typically anxious when going to the vet & groomer. In the past, with other groomers, even having taken Trazodone, she would shake nonstop and literally cling as tightly as possible to me when we would approach the groomer’s shop. Since we started going to Shaggy dog and Athena has been our groomer, Holly has been so much more relaxed and chill. Aside from calming Holly’s psyche, Athena listens and has, from day one, delivered on exactly what we have asked of her. Holly has never looked better or been happier!…Highly recommend!

My cats can be a little tricky to groom they are a bit....evasive. When I talked to their groomer Ren she seemed to know exactly what to do. I dropped them off and a few hours later was told they were ready. I was thrilled to see my kitties where all clean. My black cat doesn't shed much but I was blown away how soft and shiny his coat felt. My tabby however, sheds a fair bit, especially after baths. Someone must have put a lot of effort into brushing him cause now he hardly sheds now. Nails were done perfectly, not too long but not insanely (painfully) short. Neither of my cats seemed stressed out when I got them back, which is nice for a change. Thanks for the hard work, the cats and I look forward to coming again soon!-Vince, Hop and Felix

I have a long haired kitty named Morty. They took good care of him. Clipped his nails, washed, took care of slight matting, Cleared his butt area, etc. Very happy with the service.

My dog is always apprehensive to leave me, but he is so happy at Shaggy Dog! The owner truly goes above and beyond like these are her own pets. When I was in a situation where I couldn’t make it to an appointment (I was sick), she went out of her way to come get Beau for me and drop him back off. We will be lifetime clients! Thanks for taking such good care of our baby (and me).

We cannot recommend the Shaggy Dog enough! Our dog, Winnie, has a fear of water and loud sounds, so finding a groomer has been difficult. However, Athena and her team made our dog (and me!) feel comfortable. Athena took time to get to know Winnie and her quirks. She does an amazing job! I always feel comfortable leaving Winnie in her hands. Athena also takes time to call and check in during the appointment to let me know Winnie has made it through the bath. This visit, she even sent a picture! Winnie consistently comes out happy, clean and smelling great! We truly appreciate the Shaggy Dog!

Went in for a grooming and asked for my long haired cats behind to be shaved. They did bathe, cut her nail, and shaved her butt, but when I came home I spent over an hour brushing and brushing her and wiping gunk from her eyes. Hair was just coming off in clumps. I just feel after spending the money to get her groomed I shouldn't have to spend so much time afterwards grooming her myself.

Lisa is a gem. She is so patient with my geriatric Aussie who has dementia. Nash is having an increasingly hard time being groomed and Lisa is so kind and gentle with him. I am very grateful that she is taking such good care of him.

Shaggy Dog takes great care of our 2 fur babies. LOVE the staff and love the owner Diana!! She treats us like family. It is a huge convenience to have our dogs delivered back to us when grooming is complete.

We've been going to Shaggy Dog Shop for many years and always have a positive experience. The dogs love Marcie and she always listens and gives themthe precise haircut we ask for, shorter for the summer and longer for the winter. My bichons have never looked better! Anytime a neighbor asks, we always tell them to go to Shaggy Dog.

Negligent, irresponsible, unprofessional. My dog was there for 5 hours and received a wash, face and paw trim. It had been 4.5 hours until she started being trimmed because I called to check in on her, all this time she's just been drying off in her cage. I get there and she's crying, the groomer tells her to stop crying and that she's done with it. Then delivers her to me with her harness not hooked and the front door open. Note - the cages of dogs I saw were two dogs per cage.

This was our first time having our dog Cooper groomed here. Because of the virus, he hadn’t been professionally groomed for quite a while.We are so pleased! We hardly recognized him!!The staff was very friendly. We will be back!

The grooming team at Shaggy Dog Shop has been taking care of my dogs for 15 years. First was a big dog---a border collie mix, and my current dog is an 8lb poodle mix. He is 12 years old, mostly blind and deaf, and they treat him with extra TLC. I ❤️ Diana and the staff at Shaggy Dog Shop.

I really don't agree with negative reviews so I refrain on writing them if at all possible but this was uncalled for!Got cold call... Took 2 dog one bath and nails and one same with haircut. Dropped off and had to how to bring on pick-up. Told 148.00 (NOT) my wife picked them up and was made to pay 180.00!!! WT.....Told to be ready late afternoon since appointment was at 12 noon. (Not) Try 6 PM. I was so scared they were closing soon at 4pm that I called and they had a problem with staffing and the dogs didn't even get seen till 4pm. WHY NO PHONE CALL?? I tried to just go pick them up at 4pm but was told they were wet from just getting bathed. So from 12 noon till 4pm I'm to assume the were in a crate! I should have been called to reschedule. Very disappointed! Never again. Do not recommend! BBB!!!
