This is a re reveiw as i wanted to check out the resturant nextdoor.This statement is my opinion as i always do my best to rate a place.Food is good, fresh, portion size is good, great prices, byob or you can buy drinks at the resturant.Few issues is that there was only one waitress and 1 busboy who seem to have trouble taking orders for 20 booths, so the wait time to us was not acceptable because we waited over an hour for 6 tacos and a burger. The waitress at the same time was the cashier and the busboy was taking plates to the table. We feel it caused the floor to look super dirty. We noticed the cooks were sending out 1 plate at a time to each table and tables wernt getting their food at the same time. Another lady was conplaining that she was missing 1 out of 4 dinners thats insane because she waited an extra 15min for a plate that should have been in the bag. Customers were upset that it was taking a long time to pay for there meal. As a manager for over 10 years there should be a good system in place in the back of the kitchen and in the front of the house you should never have a waitress also be a cashier and a busboy to be passing out disshes. There should be at least a few people in the front. There was over 6 to 7 guys cooking in the back but yet 1 dish at a time was going out makes no sense.1 star knocked off because of the food service, but will maintain 4 stars because of the store thats what brought me in.We see the strive for greatness here but there is a lack of leadership on the resturant side, and feel the kitchen should be better at managing orders and getting all the tables dishes on time. Great customer service and the 2 employees where kind.Store front reviewAuthentic mexican grocery store everything you need to create authentic mex foods, this place has so much imported mexican snacks, candy, foods, drinks, i highly recommend. Next to the store they have a mexican resturant attached to the grocery store. I will def need to come back for that, as i was very impressed with the imported snacks the grocery store had to offer !

Nice market but slowly stopped buying, I get buying imported items but holly molly it’s getting to be way over priced compared to other local stores around the area. 5.99 for a tiny bag of gum! Not worth the cravings.

Best lengua tacos. So far everything had here was seriously delicious. My new favorite place! Have to forgive the service for the taste & quality of the food. Gets crazy busy so best to come in between meal times.

Nina's restaurant expanded into a larger space, but the food is still great. There are quite a few Mexican options in the area, tried them all, but Nina's has great service, great food that arrives quickly, and friendly staff.I always get sucked into buying some groceries on the way out!

I stopped here today 5/8/2023 at around 11:30 or so for lunch, the food was good, i wish they would use the regular size tortilla instead for the price of the tacos, the reason for the 1 star is because we ordered 6 tacos all steak, 3 corn tortillas and 3 flour tortillas, 1 small Orchata drink for a grand total of 42 dollars, I really hope this was just a mistake on their part, because I hate to think they are cheating customers like that on the money. These were some very expensive freaking tacos!! Nevertheless I will not be stopping here for any more food ever. I would advise anyone going here to eat, make sure to check your receipt before paying to make sure it is accurate, i feel robbed!! they don’t even give you a receipt to check. STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS WHAT A SHAME!!

Very large, filling portions..great food, and good drinks! Our favorite spot for mexican in LP. My personal favorites the chimichangas. (Which is 2 meals for me, lol)I can't say too much on behalf the market as I don't regularly use it, but I know others that do and like it. It's always clean, organized, etc when I'm there.

Everything on the menu is great. Even the hamburger and fries. The butcher shop is fairly priced with all the options. They have a sour cream in the refrigerator section that is the best I ever had. This is the only Mexican restaurant I go to in the Illinois Valley.

This place has two sides, both fantastic. You walk into the grocery store side where you'll find an array of spices, dried peppers, canned goods, cold drinks, fresh bread, home goods, prayer candles, and much, much more.The other side has a surprisingly roomy restaurant that serves great food and has attentive, kind servers. Very reasonable prices and large portions.A great place, we will definitely be back!

Travel from Streator to get my groceries here. Great selection of meat produce and everything else. Everything is fresh. Store is clean. If you want to cook Mexican cuisine you can't do it without shopping for real and authentic ingredients! Not to mention service is fantastic no matter where you are getting it!Thank you Ninas!

Great spot for dine-in or carry out. Burritos are bigger than you could hope them to be and they have a wide variety of protein options for all of their dishes. While you're in the restaurant, make some time to stop next door at the market. Lunch or dinner is very affordable, and despite what you will find at many other area restaurants, there is always a fully staffed kitchen and servers to take care of you.

OkBill was 70$ for 4 tortas .. chicken nachos..2 lbs rice..and tostadaLess the 9$ refund for horchata.Prices are not up to date on the menu posted. First time here I can see myself going back.
