As a first-time dog owner, I can't say enough about Ancare. They are incredibly patient and helpful with my many questions, and they are so good with my Doodle. He actually loves going there because everyone is so kind and fusses on him! I love that they're open 7 days a week, and there is always someone I can talk to if something comes up. Dr. Seppanen is so gentle with him, and the entire team does an amazing job!!

The care we receive is always wonderful as is the staff. With that being said its become impossible to get an appointment sooner than a month out. You have to pay an emergency fee to be squeezed in between appointments. The wait is comparable to a hospital ER, so far it has been 1.5 hours. Additionally $32 for a nail trim is outrageous, last time they didn't even clip the dewclaws. They also don't file the nails at this price. I won't go to any of the vets in Ottawa due to bad experiences so this is my only option.

Great vet, sadly moved 40+ minutes so had to switch but never any issues. A bit pricey but for the work and care I saw it was worth it, the vet and techs treated my at the time abused, neglected recently adopted rescue dog like she belonged to them, super caring and took baby steps because of how terribly scared of people she was. It was a female vet, super sweet and answered every question I had and explained everything to me in terms I would understand. Super clean building as well.

The Mayo Clinic of LaSalle! They got me in right away with my sick kitty, Waylon and took care of him right away found the issue and set up meds and he’s on the mend! Dr. Dullard and Dr. Seppanen are amazing along with all the staff who not only work quickly but effectively day in and day out! 7 days a week! Because they are there for their clients and pets! Waylon, is now 16 years old and has been a bit of a problem child as far as health goes, and Ancare is always on top of it every time throughout his whole life! Can’t speak highly enough for the Ancare team and honestly we are very fortunate to have such an amazing animal hospital in our area! Thank you again Ancare!

I had an emergency with my dog. We called Ancare emergency line and they firstly wanted to charge money (DID NOT STATE HOW MUCH) for an over the phone consultation. First off we just needed to know if we should take our dog to emergency room (which we ended up doing) second our dog could have died in the amount of time it took to give my card info which in the first place is ridiculous. I’m pulling my other dog out of this place! We also keep getting mail from Ancare our pup didn’t get his vaccinations when we literally have proof of it, and he got vaccinated 2 months ago 🙄😐😐 they also are overpriced…

The techs here are amazing! Seriously cannot thank them enough. Brought our new kitten here for her first visit. She had gotten so nervous, she had a little accident and they went above and beyond helping us!

I took my cat in for what I suspected was a broken leg. They wanted over $100 up front and claimed an emergency visit even though I came during regular hours. The vet was very nice and caring. He diagnosed the problem and recommended surgery which was in the thousands. 2 days later another issue was discovered and euthanasia recommended. So surgery was cancelled. My final bill was nearly $1000 to xray, diagnose, blood test, house, and euthanize my cat. I wanted to cremate but that was going to add a few hundred dollars more. I was shocked that a vet's office charges this much. My past vet didn't charge near that. I have spoken to other people with very similar stories of feeling price gouged by AnCare. The extreme high pricing made a sad situation even more painful.

The emergency vet is incompetent and shouldn't be trusted during a life-threatening emergency. Our 6 month old kitten died of septic shock 24 hours after being seen because very basic testing (blood, urine, checking the gums) was not carried out or offered during the check up. Unknown to us, he was already in multi-organ failure when we brought him to be seen. An experienced vet should have been able to tell this right away. We took our cat to a different emergency vet the next morning and they ran a battery of tests and treated with antibiotics within 30 minutes whereas we were at Ancare for 2 hours and given only an X-ray. I have a feeling we were rushed out because they were busy and only 1 vet was staffed at the time. Regardless of staffing, a vet that was experienced and cared about animals would have at least done the basics, such as simple blood work or even checking the cat's gums. Don't trust this place with your pet's health in an emergency situation. Every second matters.

Called about getting my snake in for an emergency visit after he scraped a bunch of scales off and they refused to see him because we hadn't been there in 6 years. This is the only exotic pet vet I'm aware of in 60 miles and they flat out refused to see an injured animal because I haven't spent money there before. Good job, guys.

I took my cat here. He had been throwing up and wasn't eating or drinking. The vet decided within minutes (after i had waited an hour for him to come in) that my cat must have eaten a hair tie. Xray did not support an intestinal blockage. No other testing was done. I was told the next step was to do an xray with barium in his system to prove he had an intestinal blockage but that it might just he gastro upset and that he may recover with fluids. I brought the cat home. The next morning I had to rush my dying cat to a different emergency vet in an attempt to save his life as he went into septic shock. He had a pancreatic infection that had been ravaging his whole body. Ancare charged me $700 for an emergency vet visit, misdiagnosed my cat, and he died the next day. There were clear red flags that I wasn't able to recognize that a veterinarian should have. Not only is this place negligent, but they are overpriced. Avoid at all costs.

I’ve been taking my dog Kike’ 🐶 to Ancare for a couple of years now, but this was our first time boarding there. I received pictures everyday and they took him out for play time several times a day! I felt comfortable on vacation knowing that he was in good hands! He had a mini vacation too!

Staff are attentive and compassionate. Processing in/out is very timely. I am mostly concerned about the fees that are charged. Soon it will become too expensive to get veterinarian care for my pets even though the care is very good.

I called Ancare Vet on a Saturday for an emergency and they were able to see me within an hour of me arriving. I had called all the vets around my area but they couldn't see my dog for several hours. Lexie, Nicole, Molly, Morgan and the vet we saw were AMAZING. My dog had an accident while being seen, so I asked if there was a nearby pet wash I could take him to and they offered to bathe him for me. They even gave me a towel & leash to leave with. I was very happy with Ancare's level of service and urgency, especially for an ER visit!

Dr. Dullard was AMAZING!! Super thorough and extremely patient! He took his time to explain every test, result and treatment!! The staff is also amazing and the facility is very clean! The ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars is that it’s very pricey. We had to finance our visit, however, we did get the piece of mind that our kitty is ok!

This was my 3rd experience with Ancare. I took my 'less than friendly' cat to them to look at her coat's 'bare' spots, general checkup, and get her claws clipped. They were simply great in the way they lovingly treated my girl!!! {I think she kinda liked them, too!}

Had an emergency situation where I needed to euthanize my dog and after being unable to get into my dogs vets in my hometown, they took her in without blinking and eye and accommodated us. Morgan at the front desk was amazing and caring and both Ally and DR. Dullard that assisted our baby pass to the next life. Amazing all the way around. Thank you all so much for your compassion

Not the worst vet experience I’ve had but not the best. Just don’t appreciate when bringing up a genuine concern, I get a smart a** remark back from the person whom I’m paying to help me. 2/5 only because the actual vet seemed like she had good intentions. Iffy if I’ll be going back

They told me that it could take a long time for the vet to see me since I brought my cat in for an emergency visit, and they weren't sure when they could squeeze me in. I didn't have to wait very long, and the team there did a great job taking care of my cat. The vet was awesome. Very caring and was very gentle with my cat. She was able to diagnose his injury right away, and he has fully recovered. Thanks to the great staff at this clinic!

We've been taking our pets to AnCare Veterinary Hospital for a few years now. The caring nature of the staff is unparalleled - we actually feel that our questions and concerns are listened to. The staff are all professional and are great at interacting with and comforting the animals. You can truly see they care about the animals in their care. I'm so glad we switched to AnCare after an incident with one of my pets being mistreated at our former vet.

My moms 16 year old cat Zoey was declining and couldn’t use the cat box. We called and were prepared for an emergency visit. We knew it was time for Zoey to go over the bridge. The entire staff was soooo accommodating on a Sunday after hours. They explained everything thoroughly and were very patient…. As these times are never easy.
