The manager cursed me out on a misunderstanding. So let’s talk about it!I just traveled and lacked sleep. I came back home to Joliet for our family reunion. I am in the family dollar speaking to people and picked up 2 boxes of zip loc bags. I own the fact that I wasn’t thinking and walked out the store to get cash because I forgot it in the car.The manager comes out side and calls me the b word and being mad disrespectful. I then realize I still had the bags with me and I tried to apologize. The manager proceeds to say she is going to call the police and I said ok. May I still pay for my items?She responses and say no B get out of my store. Unknown to her who I am and who I am in that community, I tried to control the narrative and apologize to her for the misunderstanding. She continues to call me out my name. I wasn’t allowed to buy anything so I paid for someone stuff and mine by giving them the money.This experience was horrible and it’s partially my fault but as a leader and business owner of a tech company, this lady needs more training in conflict resolution.I would like someone in corporate to contact me.

North is such a nice and happy employee. Came in, she greeted me happily and helped me find what I was looking for immediately. I wish my employees were as customer friendly as she is.

This location locks the door 30 minutes to 20 minutes before the store closes. I've been recording myself and others being unable to get into the store 30 minutes before the store closes on numerous occasions. Videos are dated and time stamped. I'll be posting them to social media and also letting corporate know about this. I even recorded a worker telling us that they are allowed lock the doors that early. Wow. Something needs to be done about this. It's not right. Consumers/customers deserve better than this. Don't post that you close at 10pm if you're going to lock the doors at 9:30 pm.

Its 8:57pm central time and the doors are locked, lights are on, and it looks open by all means and associates are hanging out ignoring the customers outside in the rain and the visible ringing phone behind the counter. Everything says this establishment is open until 10:00pm but no one is allowed inside and the associates are ignoring the crowd of people outside the store trying to enter to make purchases. This is legit creepy. What is going on???

I needed an Ankle Wrap. I found one discounted. First the Manager disputed the validity of the clearance price but when she went to the Aisle where I got the ankle wrap from she went ahead & gave me to the clearance price. I give this store & manager 4 stars because she could have done like Walmart last week. Walmart wanted me to pay the full regular price I left the item. I recommend Family Dollar on Richards St.

If I could give this store a zero I would. One of the most unprofessional, unorganized, ghetto Family Dollar stores I've ever been to. Just because its on the Eastside doesn't mean the store and people whom worked there have to be tacky.

Its very nice and convenient and the cashiers are very polite the only thing is that they dont always open exactly at 8 because most of the time I try to get there early to get the stuff I need but sometimes they open up until 8:20 or later

I can go here and get everything I need for the low. Household stuff, food, snacks, pet food, hair supply, movies, clothes, shoes you name it! Lol for reasonable prices. It's like a way smaller to the point version of Walmart.

Very friendly and helpful employees nothing like the other Joliet store on Larkin Ave they don't greet me or ask for help tell them to be more polite act like u love your job instead the attuide don't have to talk to u if I don't want too well stay. HOME Lol

Well stocked store, and very convenient. Last time I was there, some young kid ringing me up kept checking his cell phone and texting. Was really annoying.
