I have been going to Doggone Grooming since Geri first started. She is very good with my dog or dogs. I have not met the staff, I am in a wheelchair now and cannot go inside, but they seem to be good also. They do very good grooming and are reasonable on their prices. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

If you consider your pet a family member, Doggone Grooming and Boarding is the ONLY place to go. I have been using Doggone since I got my precious puppy eight years ago. Doggone is so much more than just a groomer. My shin-tzu has skin allergies. Geri, the owner, has helped me far more than the four vets and numerous types of treatments we have tried. Geri is so knowledgeable and has been in this business for so many years I don’t think there is much she hasn’t encountered when dealing with animals. Not only has Doggone helped me with my pet’s skin allergies but also I have never been disappointed in Geri’s grooming skills.I moved to Texas for a year. After trying a groomer one time while there, I planned monthly trips back to the St. Jacob area not only to visit family but also to have my pet groomed. As an animal lover there are certain things you look for in a groomer. The groomer I encountered in Texas must have given my puppy some type of drug because she did not act normal for two days after picking her up. Not to mention, her cut was completely wrong, and she had nicks and cuts all over. With Doggone Grooming, I have never experienced any of these issues. Geri takes care of my pet like she’s one of her own. Her groom is perfect every time, she’s happy and excited to see me when I pick her up, there are no nicks and cuts, and the cost is very reasonable. I cannot say enough about Doggone. In my opinion, it is the only groomer I will ever use.I can’t write a review without mentioning the boarding experience also. Again, Doggone treats their boarding guests as one of their own. They give special attention to your pets needs. Every animal is different and have different routines. All you have to do is explain any special needs your pet has and Doggone will make sure all those needs are met. While of course, your pet will miss you, Doggone will make sure your pet is treated with tender loving care while you’re away. Your pet will have play time, snuggle time, and any special requirements you give them when at home.If you haven’t tried Doggone, I highly recommended you do. I can honestly say, you will have an experience that will keep you coming back for as long as you have your precious family member!

We board our dog here a few times a year. The staff is great and we appreciate the grading chart and little treats. We will periodically receive a text with a pic of our dog with an update. We like that. The price of boarding is very reasonable as well. We will definitely keep coming back.

Last summer we left our dog at Dog Gone for a short trip to TN. Our dog was fully vaccinated and had gotten his boardatella before we dropped him off. The place seemed ok.There were several dogs already there for boarding. I left our dogs blanket, toys, treats, and medication with instructions.When we returned from our trip, our dog couldn’t wait to get into our van and go home.Within 1 day, he started wheezing and coughing what seemed like croup or kennelCough uncontrollably. He couldn’t drink or eat without choking and vomiting. We rushed him to our vet who confirmed the kennel cough. I called Dog Gone owner to tell her that our dog had kennel cough and she said another dog had kennel cough while our dog was there. She acted like it was no big deal!$300 later, and 3 weeks later, our dog was finally feeling better. I will Never recommend this place to any dog owners.

Great place, I went in yesterday after unexpectedly having no place to keep my dog for the next couple weeks until I move. Didn't have the full amount upfront, but the owner took the dog anyway because she could tell I was in a tight place. Good to know that my dog is with caring people, and the price of the nail clipping she'll get is priced less than half what my vet charges. Overall a clean, well run, and compassionately run business, just what you want in a dog boarder/groomer.

Paul and I have been going here for about 4 months now. Very friendly owners and staff. We highly recommend this place. Especially if you just want to get away for the weekend and not bring your pup. They offer extra services to make you pet feel loved while you're away. We have yet to get a grooming but I'm sure it's great as well.

We have been using DogGone Grooming services for more than 18 years for 5 of our dogs. Geri and her staff have been awesome with all of ur animals. We have also used the kennels from time to time in the past when we couldn’t take them with us. We have found all services to be excellent.

The owner, she's pretty nasty and rude as well as her workers. I had to board my dogs while waiting for my house to be finished. My dogs were sleeping on bleach, from cleaning cages, that was not dry, their paws and elbows were bleeding. I asked why they were bleeding, and the workers would shrug their shoulders at me. Now, my pure bread dog has scares. My dogs became very aggressive during THEIR stay at DOGGONE. When I left, the owner told me my DOGS WEREN'T NORMAL. THE OWNER SHUD KNOW HOW CLOSE SHE CAME TO GETTING PUNCHED IN THE FACE THAT DAY. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

Geri is an excellent groomer. I quite own often get asked where I get my dog groomed. Staff is always friendly and my dog is very happy to see Geri outside the shop.

My fiancé, step daughter and I were on a tour and the older lady was showing my fiancé around and had her elderly husband continue to brush out a small got on the table and as my step daughter and I were right next to him, he’s being way overly aggressive with the dog as it’s yelping out of pain as he’s twisting it’s leg and hitting the dog in the face with the brush as we are right there the whole time. Very unprofessional

A pet recently passed away after neglect during a stay at this facility. They place rugs or blanket in the pen the pet is in, which is unsafe for an animal in a new environment. The pet chewed and ate so much carpet during the stay it caused a blockage. The facility did not alert the owners, and did not have the dog looked at by a vet when it began throwing up carpet and refused to eat. The facility is now saying they will not accept responsibility for the death of Harley claiming they do not place rugs in the pen. A quick search of their Facebook posts clearly states otherwise.DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE.

Overall very pleased with my experience at Doggone. I use them for boarding. I'm not a fan of their policy for picking up after hours but I understand why they have it.

Not safe. They utilize rugs with stringy fibers that are deadly to animals when chewed, with one dog fatality connected to their facility so far. Also, charging extra just to interact with client's animals is, in my opinion, a low business practice and indicates a lack of interest in animals, something that should be fundamental in a business that prides itself and revolves around animal care.

I left my dog at their for about a week and now that we have him back you can tell he didn't get many chance to go outside because he is normal a ladedback type of dog but today he is running around the house 24/7 and will not stop. Also now every time I leave him alone in a room he will start crying.I would not recommend this place

My mom had took one of my dogs to her on Monday while I was in school and she got there and the lady yelled at my mom saying she sent her the text messages saying what to do but my mom said she had no text message then couple hours later that thing text my mom saying that she nicked one of my dogs but clearly it was not a that it was a cut so we will not be talking are dogs there ever again and I believe no one should.
