Our little one Buddy has been seeing Dr. Preston and her great team for almost ten years now! Shes loves her fur patients, and her staff is excellent and very knowledgeable! She's a doctor thinks outside the box, always looking into new items for our little Yorkie Buddy's health needs. Her staff is top notch and just a telephone call way! They always have the time from a simple question or a health emergency, we can always count on them!!! They have saved our little Buddy more then once!! Thanks to them he will be turning 10 in the new year! Thank you Lindenhurst Animal Hospital and your great staff!!!! 🐶🐕

Thank you for contacting us after an extremely kind gentleman found our kitten and brought him in to be scanned for a chip on April 14th! We were scared and heartbroken the kitten escaped and his 1 yr old big buddy cat was inconsolable all night howling out the windows for him to come home. Thank you again it means the world we were reunited with our little guy Dax.

I LOVE THIS OFFICE! All the staff at Lindenhurst Animal Hospital are great. From the reception staff, techs and doctors. They are caring and compassionate. They truly love the animals and you can tell. My pets have been going here for about 9 years since i moved into the area. They have always had time to get me in when my dogs have been sick. I once brought one of my dogs in late on a Friday several years back. He was very sick. Turns out he had a blockage and wouldn't have made it thru the weekend. Dr Unger stayed to do emergency surgery and saved his life. They are the best vets I've ever had and would recommend them to anyone.

My mother took her pet dove here because he was loosing feathers and acting abnormal. It is really hard to find a vet who works with and has knowledge of birds. The doctor and nurses were so amazing, gentle, and helpful! They were also very protective and safe with the current pandemic. We would definetly trust them to take care of our pet again!

All of my pets are in the best hands here. Dr Unger treats my pets as if they were his own. He never suggests unnecessary treatments and always gives me the most honest advice. The staff is exceptional as well, from Amber at the front desk to Grace & Matt as the most experienced and trusted vet techs. I've taken my dogs and kitties here for years and my family is blessed to have such a great crew taking care of our furry family members.

The staff there was very nice and treated my cats well. I took them in just for an examination and rabies vaccine. My one cat made a mess in the carrier, and they not only cleaned my cat up a bit, but they also cleaned out the carrier. I still did a thorough cleaning when I got home, but I thought it was very nice of them to do that for me for the ride home!

I was very pleased taking my beloved pet there for a follow up from the vet ER. Not only did they treat my cat well, kept me informed of evaluation and treatment, but they also listened to my concerns and didn't just dismiss my opinions and reasoning. Not that I'm look forward to NEEDING to take my pets back but am glad to have a vet I trust for my beloved pets.

I recommend Lindenhurst Animal Hospital to everyone. My pets are always treated very special. i get more time with my vet for my cats' health than I do with my family doctor. I'm impressed that Dr. Unger will stay late to follow up with a phone call about test results. He has done this multiple times!!

Our dog just turned 14 years old this week and is healthy (for his age), minimal health issues and still spunky. I owe this to the outstanding care he has received since he was a 6 week old puppy at Lindenhurst Animal Hospital. The vets and staff treat him like one of their own.

Lindenhurst Animal Hospital is a great place to take your pets for caring, complete health examinations and interventions. The receptionists and assistants are bright, happy people who are intelligent and on top of things. And, Dr. Janssen can't be nicer or more caring. I have multiple cats, and all of our needs have been considered and handled as well as possible.

We have been taking our pets to the Lindenhurst Animal Hospital since we moved to Gurnee in 2001. We now have four dogs and the staff there are great with all of them. I have dealt with other vets in the past, but the only place I trust my pack with is the Lindenhurst Animal Hospital. Highly Recommended.

Dr. Weller killed my dog.I had taken my dog, faithfully to this vet for YEARS. And after they killed her and cremated her, they handed her to me like an Amazon package.Firstly, no one called me to tell me what was going on when my dog was inside the office in May. During the midst of the pandemic, we weren't allowed inside. When I finally did get a call it was from the vet stating she had already done the abdominocentesis. No heads up to me or consent.Secondly, Dr. Weller's choice of words. She stated my dog would "live many more years." She gave me false hope. She saw her on a Saturday and my dog died Monday morning. She made it sound so routine. If she had not said that or if she had said anything about how there's a possiblity she wouldn't get better, then it wouldn't have been so traumatic.I sent an email almost verbatim to this review and didn't receive a single email back saying they were sorry. I wanted an apology for the words that were used. I knew my dog was sick. But she gave me hope I was going to have my dog for longer. And the way that she was handed to me. Like our transaction was done. As if I wasn't going to get another pet and bring them there. And it's a shame they treated us like that because I did like them.Please do better in informing pet parents on what's happening to their pet. I knew they cared about her. That's why I continued to bring her. But especially during these times where we're not allowed in with our pets, we still need to be told what is going on. This is unfortunately the second time I have lost a pet due to a procedure being preformed without my consent. It's very neglectful.And yes, it is many months later and I am still bitter and hurt. Angry they no one had the decency to call. But they did what they wanted and didn't tell me they were doing a procedure on her. I waited outside, waited for them to tell me what they were going to do and I got no call until it was done. She told me I had years when I only got 2 days.My poor baby's back legs stopped working and within a minute she was dying in my arms. She told me she would feel so much better and live for many years.No, this place is not recommended. Not anymore. I only give it 1 star cause there's no option for a 0. Hopefully this gets your attention since you didn't reply to the email.

My furbaby kitties have gone to Lindenhurst Animal Hospital for 5 years. Both kitties became very sick and they diagnosed the problems and we are now able to keep their illnesses under control. They wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for all the excellent doctors and staff. Love these guys!

Absolutely the best!! I have had several dogs over the years and been to several vets over the years. This is the first one where my dog wags his tail and pulls on the leash to get in. (Pre Covid) Now he wags his tail as soon as he sees the assistant coming to the car.

If you have cats and live in northern Lake County, IL, this is the best veterinary clinic in the area. This is primarily due to the separate waiting room for cats thus decreasing the challenges in being in the same room with dogs. All the vets are great to work with and the entire staff truly loves all animals.

Dr. Rodney Unger has been our vet for several years. Very caring, excellent in keeping our dogs healthy and happy. Otter and diesel are always excited to see him.he is great!

This was always a great vet. We started going to this vet in 1999 when we got our kitten and he continued as a patient until 2017 when something happened to make them not care about him anymore. Our cat got all his vaccinations on time, had wellness checks, declaw, neuter, teeth cleaning, and senior care, all on a regular basis. Also, he had thyroid issues and we got his drugs from here, and he had an operation in 2012 for kidney stones here. Bought our food through them, also. We were going along great until 2016/17 when he began having kidney stone problems again and we had to take him to the emergency vet a couple times due to Lindenhurst not being open at the time. This was, apparently, the thing that got us booted, but we don't know. When I next tried to make a routine appointment, I was told we were not in the system and were not patients there anymore. They were under the impression that we had gone to another vet and said they couldn't see us as a result. When someone finally located us in the computer, they said it looked like all our records had been sent to a vet in Skokie. Skokie! During the time we had been at Lindenhurst AH we had lived in several places (Grayslake, Kenosha, Palatine, Elgin) , but never changed our vet because it was a good place and our cat liked the two doctors he saw, both of whom had left the practice earlier that year. Now the doctors were gone, our records were someplace in Skokie, and kitty was no longer a patient. 18 years then this. They weren't particularly accommodating, either--like they just didn't care if they lost a regular patient that had paid thousands of dollars to them over the years and made all the regular visits to keep their animal healthy. Oh, to be that flush with money that you can treat your loyal patients this way!Needless to say, we found one of the vets who had worked there before and became a patient there. It was an unnecessary hassle, though, for a cat of that age who needed care. And disappointing that no explanation was given The vet who is the owner must not have cared or we would have heard from her--herself, preferably, or through an employee. There either should have been a letter sent to us if they did not want us as patients, or, if a mix-up, an effort to fix the issue. Neither was offered. This used to be a great place to go, but not now. If I had had a 2 year old cat that just needed vaccinations, I would have been peeved, but found a new vet. With an 18 year old cat with health issues? Just no excuse for this unprofessional behavior.

Have used Lindenhurst Animal Hospital since Dr. Trask first opened it in Lindenhurst. Absolutely outstanding service always ! Friendly Staff, clean facility. And, always sensitive to not only my pets needs but mine also! Highly recommend ! ! !

I was staying with family during the COVID-19 crisis and noticed my cat Chance was urinating more frequently and even had some blood present in her urine. I called Lindenhurst, since they used to see my German Shepherd Kaya years ago, and I was able to get an appointment in 15min. They took Chance in immediately and within minutes Dr Weller called to let me know that she did an exam and Chance's bladder looks ok and they would give her a quick Abx injection and she would be good to go!! Thank you so much Brooke, Dr Weller and staff for handling the situation so quickly in such a trying time.
