First time I have visited this place with my kid, I love this Petland because they have such a wide variety of pets and pet supplies. The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful!"You have good free parking here. This complex is very big. Inside you can spend 2 hours, if you pet lover you can visit this place.

This is a wonderful place. My husband and I were deciding between adopting another furball or another feathery friend.. a red factor conure stole our hearts almost immediately and shortly after Erin came over and assisted us. It was our first time here and she made the experience great. This place is great because the pets are in open spaces so they are socialized well! The animals are happy to interact with people and are happier than other places who keep their pets isolated behind glass and away from each other and visitors.I have been to many pet stores and have been to specific bird places.. this one takes the cake. (I’ve never had such a happy bird so quickly!)I overheard staff advising people on pets that are appropriate given living situations and experience levels - they REALLY care about the animals and finding a good fit for people (to avoid having a return situation).Most places don’t care and just sell an animal without a thought or any questions - here they will speak with you to figure out what’s the best fit for you and for the animal. (Please don’t be offended or go somewhere else because they advise you against what you want - they know what’s best here.)I really enjoyed being able to interact with multiple different pets and being introduced to some of the larger parrots they had.The staff also know everything about each animal. This place cares and these animals are in good hands.My husband and I found our forever go-to-place!Side note: could possibly be pricey for birds/animals but they’re the most SOCIALIZED pets you’ll come to find from a store - it’s 100% worth every penny.She loves to do photo shoots with me 📸

The kids and I love coming here. Although there are no more puppies, there are plenty of birds, rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, and chinchillas. The aquarium side is so beautifully set up too! You almost walk through like an "underwater cave" to get from one side to the other. Very cool place to check out.

Nice staff, great place to get bunnies, birds, and other small pets.They do not have cats or dogs.They also offer free nail trims for rabbits you get from them. We go in once a month for our two bunnies and the staff is great.

Very cool store. In one part of store you can find many dogs, there are also rabbits and mice, in another part of the store everything is for aquariums. A very large selection of fish and various accessories for aquariums. When I got there, it was as if I got into the underwater kingdom, everything is very beautiful 🤩

I wish they had Qrpop dot net which is a digital business card by MyContactApp DotCom and then I would have been more likely to have their phone number saved to my contacts and I would have seen their number and remembered to call them about the bunny my daughter wanted but instead we just went there and the bunny was just put on hold by another customer for 24 hours so lets see how that goes. They were very nice though and let us stay until 1 min past closing time. Overall it was fun...I was unaware that they stopped selling cats and dogs but now it's the law here in Illinois. It was a crazy tornado warning day also.

My boyfriend and I went yesterday and I was disgusting by how uninformed this establishment is regarding small animals— my focus was the chinchillas in which they had plastic in every single cage. That can cause serious internal damage when consumes. I don’t know if I can return seeing the uneducated taking “care” of them. They deserve a better life.

Great pet store.. way better than the national chains. Many live animals and huge aquarium area. We actually had kids birthday party here and they loved it. Bought a Gecko here today. Staff is friendly and very helpful

This place is a reptile wounder land! So many tank accessories. Truely an experience. They have wall sized fish tanks and a tunnel from the regular pet store into the reptile specialty room.

They used to carry a large selection to dog food. I went in looking for food for my dog and to my surprise the shelves were bare. Not sure if it has anything to do with the law that Pritzker passed about no puppy store.

Great selection of fish, dogs, rabbits, etc. such a fun store to also take your kids to because they encourage people to play with the rabbits, Guinea pigs, etc. Only issue is the PRICE. Every fish in that store is overpriced. That’s the only thing I would change. Otherwise, The staff is very friendly and they have a great selection. Who knows what you’ll see there!

Decent stock of almost all aquarium needs in the heart of Golf Road . Difficult to digest the price without being in the Pet Pals program . I believe I have seen same fishes being priced differently on different days . They have awesome energetic staffs though. Each and everyone very bent of helping you though the shopping.....

Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the animals there. I had a great conversation with a staff there learning about birds and what it takes to be a bird owner. He definitely made me want to educate myself and experience the amazing relationship I would gain through owning a bird! Although we didn’t buy anything, as we were just checking out the store, it was still a great experience seeing them handle the birds and allowing us to also hold them!

The store in general is nice. On this visit I had purchased some fish. Couple little angels, female mollies and female swordfish. I get home and the one female mollie is dead and one of the other 2 is a Male. I'm just disappointed. I live in the city it's not like you're around the corner. :(

(PROS)-Always well stocked-Many options-They take in unwanted fish, alive of course. Don't bring in a dead fish like they're gonna do something with it. They're not.(CONS)-The fish section is super dark it feels like I'm in a haunted house. Not only is there no lighting, but the floor is black too. I was able to notice a water spill before I made my way further, but imagine if someone comes in that has bad eyesight? A disaster waiting to happen.-Because of the law that passed about how pet stores can no longer sell dogs, they have now skyrocketed the price on the more exotic fish. Some go upwards of around $140. You only get one at that price. The prices for fishes here are unrealistic.

This place has fallen down in these past few years. Employees don’t care about customer service and from the looks of it management doesn’t either. You can be standing there for 10 minutes and you would be still there waiting. They’ll walk by you without saying a word to you. I get it they might be busy with another customer but some kind of courtesy. “Hi, I’m with someone right now but give me a few minutes or I’ll get someone else for you.

Lovely place. Got my cockatiel and two budgies here in 2019. Sadly, budgies were gone. Hope there will be more birds available soon. My little buddy needs a companion .
