The doctor was great. Very nice and informative. Your vet took us last minute on a Friday night after our regular vet apparently shut down early because of snow and never called me . It was an emergency for us and it was stressful. Hinsdale saved the day! We will be moving all of our pets to this vet. Thank you!

Hinsdale Animal Hospital is wonderful. Our dog loves their daycare center. He went from a very shy, scared pup to one that plays with others so comfortably now. He's made many friends and gets so excited every time we pull into the parking lot! We can't thank the staff at Hinsdale Animal Hospital enough for making our experience so pleasant each time we're there.

We love Hinsdale Animal Hospital! We are always treated with kindness and care. Dr. Plomin is the absolute best. She genuinely cares for her patients and always takes the time to talk through whatever questions we may have. She takes the time to make sure that my pup is at ease as well as myself. We do not live anywhere near Hinsdale, in fact we travel from Indiana, but it is well worth it just to receive quality care for our fur babies.

We have been to many vets over the 8 years we have had our dog but Hinsdale is hands down the best. They have so many great doctors that you are able to get your pet in usually the day of calling in even on non-emergencies. Every single doctor is so nice and takes the best care of your dog. I have friends that live in the city and still choose to go all the way out to Hinsdale for their pets.

After they accidentally canceled our grooming appointment 1X we let it slide. Then it happened again the very next month. “Sorry next appointment available is now in another month.”“But I booked 2X and you lost our appointment 2X now. Can’t you squeeze him in for your mistake?”“No.”Sorry we’ll try somewhere else (after 3 years going here). 👎

My pets have been patients at a few different vet offices in the area, and Hinsdale Animal Hospital is my favorite. All of the staff are always kind, caring, and knowledgeable including the veterinarians, the technicians, and the receptionists. They are always able to fit my dog in when she needs a sick visit, and they never have me waiting long in the lobby or exam rooms. Definitely recommend!

Always check for mistakes. There is one made every time, not by the veterinarians, but by office staff or vet techs, depending on whom you speak with to rectify it. Don't let them talk you into weighing your cats on the lobby dog scale; insist on a cat scale in an exam room. Check everything before you leave, from med dosage to med quantities, fluid bag with line and needle gauge, immunizations, directions, and billing. Don't expect follow-through on emails or phone calls, so be proactive, consistent, and persistent in getting what your pet needs. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and someone is always available, 7 days a week. They have been available and compassionate about in-clinic euthanasia. They do not provide in home euthanasia. Do expect to pay more than other vets in the area. Do expect to hear other clients asking about mistakes they encounter and miscommunications about immunizations. The lobby remains so loud that staff taking your call will misunderstand and ask you to repeat. Instead of using the large screen tv behind staff to educate clients about pet care or health issues, they play kids' movies, despite no kids being in the lobby. There is no separate, quieter cat waiting area. While you check out, there is not a safe place to place your cat carriers and keep an eye on them while dogs are in the lobby. The humane society adoption areas are always empty, no animals available. They do accept Care Credit.

I am always a nervous wreck bringing my little chihuahuas Blondie and Gracie for check ups, shots or health concerns. It is just how I feel. However, as soon as I enter the building, I feel more at ease.The staff members at the desk are familiar with my babies; they are welcoming and supportive.The wonderful Doctors are patient and knowledgeable. My questions and concerns are consistently addressed with genuine interest. I never feel rushed. I know they also care about Blondie and Gracie.Even the technicians working behind the scenes treat my dogs with kindness and compassion.I truly appreciate everyone at Hinsdale Animal Hospital.

Yesterday our two-year-old golden got a ball lodged deep in his throat. When I realized this I put him in the car called Hinsdale animal Hospital to let them know what was going on and that I would be there shortly. When we arrived 30 seconds later they were standing outside, waiting on us. They scooped him up ran him inside and were able to remove the ball a few minutes later I cannot say enough about the staff that was there yesterday. From the front desk, to the technician to the vet they were all so compassionate and helpful! I truly felt like it was all hands on deck for us! Thank you!! Tracy

I was pleasantly surprised when i called for an appointment for my Lacey, a new patient at the Hinsdale Animal Hospital, and was given several appointment times that same day. My 2 previous vets had me waiting a week to have her seen for vomiting and diarrhea. We were seen promptly after our arrival and the Dr. was wonderful and thorough. Another Vet had to call us the next day with Lacey's blood results (thankfully good) so overall a great experience. The building is very clean and I loved the Keurig! i made hot chocolate!

After years of bringing my pets here. We have to part ways after a 3rd incident. The last 3-4 stays (Kennel and surgery) were getting worse and worse. I have always been kind to post positive reviews! But the last 3-4 visits were horrible and I STILL TRIED TO UNDERSTAND AND GAVE THEM ANOTHER FEW MORE CHANCES!! It was worse. Spoke to the vet owners and they apologized but never tried to make things right. Very money hungry!I never have giving them a bad review because I try to understand and give them a try again. But this time, they went tooooooo far of neglecting my pets.They will always tell you they are taken care of but little do they know the connections I have within their staff.When I spoke to the vets and also who are owners, they always say the same scripted Customer service exudes but I just let them say what they have to say so they get contradicted. That is how you will confirm pets are not being taken care of here and how they lie or make up stuff.This last time I let Bella and Gus stay here for 2 nights ONLY!!! I intentionally aways bathe them when I drop them off bc you can tell how well they are kept there. Well again.... Always a reason why they bathe them. Again I asked why now....THEY SAID THAT BOTH WERE WALKING IN POOP OR PEE.HOW CAN THEY WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE TAKEN CARE OF!?!!!! They never have pooped or peed inside unless you are not home for 8+ hours!!! I asked 4 different staff members and all 4 including the vet/owner has a different story!!! They even tried to charge me a office charge bc the vet/owner wanted to speak to me when I did not!!! Just call me!!! Why see you in person? They again tried ti add a vet visit wth!!!This is how bella came out after 2 days stay!!!DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY!!!!! Or catch them in lies as I did!!! Be smarter than them or do not take them here at all.Both vet owners did not try to make things right at all!!They always come with generic answers but no accountability at all! I tried the last 3-4 times to give them benefit of the doubt but they always never take accountability and just genetic answers stating “they take care of pets”. Check yelp 2.5 stars.Nobody even called us that Bella was being given back like this. I saw it and was shocked when they rendered them back.4 staff members including a vet partner and vet owner had different answers and explanations. NO ACCOUNTABILITY even on them not having the same story.

We have taken our dog and cats to Hinsdale Animal Hospital for years. The vets and techs are incredibly kind and compassionate. They have restored our pets to health as well as guided them toward their final journeys. I recommend completely.

We brought our Airedale terrier in with severe back pain. We’d been to another vet who was no help. Everyone in the practice was kind, patient, and thorough. Doctor listened to us, diagnosed our doggo, and spent several minutes chatting with us about procedures to help get her healthy and healed. We are so grateful.

They are overpriced and greedy, demaning expensive exams for something as simple as a prescription refill. They would rather see your pet suffer than do the right thing and fill a simple prescription, because their wallet is the bottom line. My vet in the city was 1/2 the price and 1/4 of the hassle. They should be ashamed.

Dr. Ploman was amazing! Extremely thorough and knowledgeable in regards to our dogs condition. Exceeded our expectations. We have boarded at Hinsdale before however have never had our dog treated there. We’ll definitely be back! Please continue to hire more Docs like Doctor Ploman!

Brought my kitten here because it was the only place open on a Sunday. Glad I did, Dr. Plomin, Dr. Ashamala, Dr. Z, and Dr. Suchy and the receptionists have been nothing but compassionate and Amazing with the care of Luna and Oreo. Luna had upper respiratory infection, gave it to oreo who then had tapeworm as well. I will be bringing my furbabies here moving forward, the level of care & compassion shown for my pets was beyond amazing. Thank you guys for working with me!

We cannot thank you enough for working with us. Our traditional vet was booked and would not work with us to get our howling injured mini dachsund Howie in. I called on a whim to see if I could get him in with you. The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly calm, professional, and compassionate. She was very up front about costs and that in order to see us, she'd have to double-book us. I didn't really care about the cost-but the transparency was appreciated. When my wife brought Howie in, the doctor/vet technician was very gentle with Howie, thorough in her exam, and up front about what may have happened and how to treat it. In what was a very stressful moment for us (we love our dogs like family), your team--strangers to us--and us to you--welcomed us and sorted Howie's issue. He's much more calm in the 36 hours since we saw you and we are SO grateful. Really, we are thinking of just bringing our 2 dogs to you for all routine and, God forbid, emergency needs moving forward. We are VERY happy with, thankful for, and impressed by your staff and operation. Thank you, -NOD-

Absolutely wonderful, caring staff. The reason for my visit was obviously never a good one but they made the transition of losing a loved one bearable. The amount of love I felt receiving the ashes was undeniable. Would recommend them to everyone! Definitely received way more than I thought I was going to get. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and treated very well. When we got in the exam room, the girl was very gentle and gave our cat a treat. Dr. Suchy was very gentle with our cat and we liked her immediately. She took very good care of our cat and we are very pleased. We plan to take all our animals there in the future. Good GP, AWFUL ERIf you need to get vaccines or simple care, Hinsdale is the way to go. But if you have any kind of emergency, critical need, or hope to get medications filled at the right dose, then you need to get care elsewhere. I have called 8 times today to their regular line, and twice on their ER line and can’t even get an answer. Previously, I had my dog collapse and ran into the same issue, except they finally answered just to tell us they couldn’t help and to go somewhere else. You would think that with 4 receptionists present, someone could answer a phone and put you on hold, but they don’t. They’ve filled medications at the wrong dose twice now for my pets and whenever I have brought up that it was 4x the correct dose, I received a fight from reception before a doctor finally confirms it is wrong. Such a shame…
