This place is over priced. It does offer a lot as far as a pool, indoor toddler zone, 2 parks, jump pad, volley ball, mini golf, plenty of spaces. They have concessions and a little store. Planned activities/itinerary. Plenty of indoor space for rainy days. But - it’s very strict - we joke they have a “no fun” policy.Their new jump pad is horrible, you can’t jump on it. It used to be the kids favorite thing and is now unusable. The pool was very dirty (bugs!). Our group called several times to have this fixed with no success. It left several swimsuits with holes all over and didn’t smell good. It was decently warm and plenty of room even though it was busy. The bathrooms are nice and clean. A few toilets and showers with good pressure. There are 3 sinks and only ONE worked, leaving a huge awkward line. The canoes and paddle boats were filthy and filled with water - unusable. No e-bikes or kids little battery operated cars (no fun allowed). Only motorized options besides your vehicle is renting one of their golf carts ($$). It’s a huge place with paved roads so it’s nice to have something if you need to get to the shower house or pool. We brought bicycles.Huge old shade trees are nice depending on the site. Big community of seasonal people; although we know several who have pulled out due to increasing prices and decreasing fun.We used to stay here several times a year and now only once every 2-3 years and probably not again.Customer service used to be worse; this time the checkin lady was very pleasant! You go through the drive thru then have to park, go inside, and get checked in. Not ideal with kids and traveling - I feel like they could just hand you everything through the window. This place has been here forever, revolving names/ownership and has been growing. It is right next to Tyson but it’s not a problem besides traffic before/after shifts.

We tent camped here over the last week. The resort has a lot of amenities. The pool is huge and very nice, but too cold for me. They have a jumping pad, paddle boats/canoes, mini golf, ponds for fishing, and a welcome center that serves food and sells basic necessities. The campground was actually pretty quiet. The other campers were very friendly and always wave as they pass through. There were a lot of interesting birds and wildlife. If you are tent camping, pay attention to the site you choose and where the restrooms are. I had a little bit of a walk, but the bathrooms were in good shape and had showers. I really have no complaints at all. We would visit again.

It's a beautiful campground with so many fun things to do. It's a great place for a family camping trip. The staff are very nice and friendly. A few not so good: wifi constantly goes out and never works in the Q & R section, they are out of Ice A LOT! Whomever does the ordering doesn't do a very good job. The plaza hours are not accommodating to weeneders coming in later on a Friday who may need firewood or other things. Some planned activities for kids are very generic (coloring a coloring book page, crafts or bingo that the kids must pay for) Activities should be included in the expensive rate people pay to be there.

We stayed here for 6 nights. The resort has HUGE possibilities, but it is the most corporate resort I’ve stayed at and seem to only care about the money and NOT their customers. Management of this place is definitely hurting. My Aunt and Uncle have a seasonal spot they rent, therefore I brought my camper there to camp with them. Since I was there, my cousin also brought her RV to camp with us as well. On the day she (my cousin) was checking out, she was taking her camper up to the Cordova Dragway as her daughter races. Cordova doesn’t open their gates until 2 pm, and the resort was literally 95% empty, so my cousin asked for two extra hours to check out (checkout is 11…wanted to vacate at 1) and was told she had to get her camper off of the property or pay for another day. She then asked if she could park it out front, and the attendant then asked another employee what the “daily storage rate” was even though she only needed to park it for two hours. The other employee told her she could just park it up front for the two hours. At that time, the original employee stated that if she was going back on property that she would have to pay the $10 visitor pass rate. The dock where the paddle boats are kept were disgusting as they were completely covered in goose feces, and the paddle boats themselves were not cleaned once while we were there. The splash pad was only open one of the days that we were there. Most of the time there were only two to three golf balls at the mini putt course, and sometimes there weren’t any. There are two sinks in the men’s restroom, and one of them was not working the entire stay. It literally takes ten minutes to get hot water in the showers after turning it on.This place needs work!!

We stayed here for a family reunion and really enjoyed that there was so much for the kids to do and the resort felt very safe. Unfortunately during our stay the pool was closed and we never saw the snack bar open. They had organized activities but we never saw a schedule posted anywhere and only knew about them because they were taking place where we happened to be. None of the workers seemed to know what was going on anytime we had a question. The bathrooms are VERY far away from tent campers and close often for cleaning so you have to walk even farther. The water at the campsites tastes and smells like it comes straight out of the pond and tent sites sit right on top of each other.

odd campsites, fun activities. when we first arrived we immediately noticed the lack of privacy when camping here. sites are on top of eachother. loved the schedule packed with fun filled activities throughout the day! the edible crafts are a must do activity. didn’t get to use the pool but it looked cleanly and large. there are free pedal boats available but they definitely are in need of some cleaning. overall a satisfactory weekend stay.

New owners are not doing so great...We visited here for the first time last year and it was awesome! Big let down this year though. Almost everything was shut down for remodel or broken. No wi fi, no camp store or kitchen, pool was shut down mid day on Saturday for repairs, vending machines broken, ping pong paddles were busted, the list goes on and on. Also, we didn't receive a print out of activities upon check in so we missed out on all of that. Showers were shut down for cleaning around 10pm. I feel like that could have been done at a different time so people could take a shower before bedtime. As long as they are owned by Sun Outdoors then we won't be back!

So I'm giving 5 stars but really depends on what you are looking for. It's beautiful. Pools great. Kids love it. If you are looking for that quite time next to the fire its not here. The Tyson factory down the road is so very loud. I understand it's not the campgrounds fault just thought people should know. If you are looking for kids weekend it's perfect. My kids are teens and they loved it.

This park is really big with very nice amenities, so why would I rank it a 3 you might ask. While travelling cross country we decided to head north to get out of the heat for a while and found this location. We had stayed at a couple other sun resorts and quite liked them. This one was a bit different, however. The full time/long term folks were not pleasant. Many of those sites were very run down and trashy. Also, on the weekends, in particular, the long term folks must have felt as though they didn't need to follow any rules as we heard partying till all hours of the night and early morning. Security was in the park but I think they may have been at the party! The pool and fitness center as well as the kids activities and adult areas were really nice. It's just a shame that didn't have a little better experience. We probably wouldn't stay again.

For $100/night I expected a campsite large enough to be able to sit around the fire. Site was only about 5’ wide, and the fire pit was so close to my neighbor’s slide out I couldn’t start a fire without risking catching their camper on fire.Site #33 for reference.

Beautiful RV park with level paved sites. Stayed here in September 2020 for 3 nights and end of July 2021 for 2 nights. Very quiet first time probably because kids were in school (and during COVID) and this time was pretty loud due to lots of kids but it’s a great place for families. Pool was really nice! Would have loved to stay longer if able.

Me and the family were scheduled to stay here to enjoy a family reunion. Unfortunately, the day before arrival we all came down with sickness. I tried to explain that situation to the guy on the phone to get a refund but evidently "policy" is more important than the customer. Any business who holds so dearly to policy that it won't allow for exceptions is no business you should give money to.

Great time last year, this year everything out of order, pool, snack bar, soda machine, change machine. Don't come with kids looking for a good time, I hope people are being warned before they arrive. There is no evidence that pool is being looked at.We will be looking for a new summer retreat for next year unfortunately.

The campround & cabin was nice, but advertising furnished cabins with no bath towels is a problem. There was only 2 coffee filters in the cabin. I stopped at the office & asked for more but the attendants couldn't find any. They said they will have some brought out but no one ever showed up with any. When we checked out at 8:15 Saturday morning no one was in the office so I left the keys in the office drop box. I had poor phone service till later afternoon & by 2:30 I had multiple voicemails telling me that we needed to get checked out immediately!! I had to call them back & tell them to check there own drop box!! All in all we enjoyed our stay after we made a 1 hour round trip to Walmart for bath towels. Customer service is definitely lacking.

We love it here. Our friends had us come here over 9 years ago and we look forward to whenever we can come back. The facility it wonderful, everything is included, so no wallets needed after you check in. So much to do outside and inside. Beautiful building to use if bad weather. Fishing, canoeing, paddle boats, mini golf, big outdoor pool, dog park, tennis, shuffle board, bolle ball, activities. Definitely would recommend!

I love this place my extended family and I come here every year and there are improvements every year. It is so clean and well kept and there are added features like a pool indoor showers mini golf pillow bounce tenner courts and basketball court oh and paddle boats. HIGHLY recommended by me and my family ranging from mid 60s to 2 years old.

Best RV Resort in the area! Lots of children and family activities. Offers an oversized swimming pool, modern shower house, fitness room, updated putting golf, cafe, and store and much more. The grounds are well kept and sites are roomy with paved roads. Staff are friendly and caring. Gated entry in a rural setting and offers lake views with picturesque sunsets!

LOUDEST campground EVER. And I have been camping for 30 years. By loud, I don't mean people talking and kids playing. I mean dogs barking, people screaming, and music & karaoke from campsites so loud that you can hear it blocks away. Golf carts with booster speakers. One night at 10:30 I did ask if the manager could simply ask the karaoke campsite to turn the volume down a bit. I was told they would, but they didn't. If you want a place for your kids to run free with activities this is the place for you. If you want ANY time to relax and enjoy the nature of camping DO NOT go here. And I agree with another 3 star review, that it seems to be the seasonal campers that make all the noise.

We stayed here last year as part of a larger group. Beautiful campground with perfect sites! Concrete slab, full hook ups were awesome. Several pools and trails that go out along the Rock River. Golf cart or bicycles needed for that. We are returning again this year and are looking forward to our stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Grandchildren had fun. A bit expensive and not too happy camping in grass and so close to another camper. Hard time getting out of the tight space. We had to have other campers move their vehicles so we could get out. Pool was nice, fireworks nice, and hayrack ride was really nice. Just wish it was not so expensive for my family to spend the 4th with us. Not sure if we will camp here again.

Had a great time with friends we camped with there back in the '70's and '80's. A lot has changed since then. The lake we fished had nothing but stunted rock bass. If you stock the lakes, it doesn't show. Sad to see that the high and low diving boards are gone. The choice of arcade games were slim. Didn't put too much thought into what games to have in there. Hopefully you'll add another 9 holes to the miniature golf course. I'm just glad we got to play on the old course last year. Brought back some good childhood memories.

Should be 4 stars. Gonna have to enforce rules better when busy. Kids driving golf carts no adults in them.dogs off lead several places and anytime even public areas. And quiet time Sat. Was a joke with engines reviving up after midnight..but campground is beautiful. Can say anything about bathhouse because hadn't opened them yet even though second week open for season

Is a very quiet and peaceful rv park in Illinois. It was very expansive with a nice walking area around the resort and the large-sized pond. The site was ample size and it was a pull through making it easy to park our rv. Only down side is no sewer for visitors, but seasonal ppl had sewer. We used our coast to coast membership seamlessly. Would visit this place again the future, but stay for at least a week.
