Exquisite little jewel in HighlandMy husband and I stayed at the NoOk July 31, 2022 while passing through as part of our trip to CanadaThis lovely home is located close to downtown, walking distance to restaurants but nestled in a charming quiet neighborhood with off the street parkingWe loved the shaded back deck where we discussed our next stops while enjoying some wine.It’s clear that our hosts take great pride in the history and craftsmanship of the home.Ample room to hang out Everything we needed was provided. All living spaces were extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable.We would go back. Our hosts were very helpful and easy to deal withWe would recommend to a party of 4 or more and a longer stay.

We just got back from our second stay, and once again had a warm and enjoyable experience. This time we took our small children, two girls age four and almost two. They are full of energy, and Brett and Mindy were very patient with them. Brett and Mindy provide the best blend of giving you some quiet space and some genuine personal attention. The food was delicious (especially the blueberry french toast!), and the setting a delight. We love the sense of history in the place and the fact that Brett and Mindy value it. It shows. The price of a stay is so reasonable that I almost felt embarrassed at paying so little for such a pleasant time! There were many signs of attention to detail, such as a plate of cookies on the dresser when you arrive. We will be back!

This was our second stay in two years and it is still amazing. Mindy and Brett have made it a true home away from home experience. It was great to stay in a quiet place without all the people in a hotel. Our kids love it as they have A LOT of games which really made our vacation more family oriented. The air conditioning was a huge relief, beds have always been comfortable, rooms are very cute and clean. The book store in the front has a large variety of books for all ages at a steal of a deal. Mindy's incredible breakfast is unforgettable and she made sure it was tailored for our dietary needs (gluten-free) at the time we would be ready to eat as a family. A great place to stay, play games and casually walk the town square to see this beautiful town. Try this bed and breakfast before a hotel, the service, care and kindness feels like you are their family!!!

We had a fantastic time here! We stayed in the Great Gatsby themed room, and it was gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious, Brett was friendly and helpful, and the dogs were sweet. There’s plenty of entertainment- the bookstore, board games, wine and cheese time, and more. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Great stay! Loved the whirlpool tub, it really helped us relax after a long drive. Would recommend for short or long term stays. Breakfast was phenomenal! Mindy is a great cook!

We were just passing through on a roadtrip but our stay here was like a mini vacation! We were greeted with wine and cookies and two cute dogs to cuddle. The little book store was so fun and cozy. We will definitely stay here the next time we are passing through.

Absolutely amazing. I’ve never stayed in a BnB before. Was in a pinch after a long drive from Arizona. Hosts were amazing and room was awesome. Thank you Tibbets!

Loved this bed and breakfast. It was great to sit and talk with the owners during the evening. Very close to the downtown area but still very nice and quiet setting. Close proximity to larger area attractions. Breakfast was awesome! Also has a small book store at the location with some neat old books. Didn't take any pictures of the house, but stayed there to attend the SIUE graduation.
