I love to shop at Ruler Foods in Highland, Illinois. The people who work there are friendly, helpful & always curtious. The store is always clean and well stocked. This is really a Kroger knock off store. If you remember Krofer food stores they carry Kroger products. I always loved Kroger food Stores . They still have them in Rolla not sure where else.

man I love this store! Food is great and priced right. Very good ice cream.Good selection. Great bacon . I got a 10 lb. ham at Christmas time for $8.00. My very favorite food store in our area .

Nice store with pretty good selection. You have a BIG problem though. All the center of isle displays cause bottlenecks of shoppers and vendors at the very entrance of the store. I actually had to wait until the coin vendor, food vendors/stockers, and several customers cleared out of the way until I could enter. Would really hate to be on the inside if a fire or shooting took place. Not sure what a fire marshal would say, but were I one, I would insist on the removal of these for the safety of everyone!

Hate to admit how much I like this grocery store. It's usually not very crowded. Prices and quality of products are great.It's smaller than the Wxlmxxt down the street, so I buy what I can here, then finish up at that other place. Bring a quarter for a shopping cart and reusable bags as they do charge for plastic bags.

I shop this store all the time. Can't beat the prices. The workers have always been welcoming. No self checkouts shows they appreciate me enough to greet me and show gratitude for me spending my money there.

Love the cheap prices and most of the staff is great. Very friendly, there are just a few who don’t seem to care about how rude they seem. My experience today was one of the worst I have seen.Cashier very rude, cussing about how much food I purchased, how many people were in at the same time, and then a few more times about how much I got. If they didn’t have such cheap prices and mostly friendly staff I wouldn’t be back

I work near by and this is a great store to make a quick stop for affordable groceries. Their generic brand is Kroger items, and so far they have all been good. The selection is very limited, but I can usually find most general grocery items. The generic soda is good, and I actually prefer the diet citrus drop better than diet mountain dew. Bring a quarter for your cart!

Ruler's is a lower cost of groceries for those that are looking to save some money. Ruler's is owned and operated by Kroger's using their branded foods as opposed to name branded. The quality is tremendous and improving all the time. The only downside is that some of the branded foods may not always be available all the time. But the staff is always looking out for their customer's, helping find thing's and giving you a coupon too save even more!

They didn't have a very wide variety of foods and such. And they charge you to get a grocery cart which we didn't prepare for so we had to carry it by hand then they charge you for each bag to carry out our groceries sand they had a table in the back for you to bag your own stuff so at least they let us borrow a cart so that way we could dump everything into our trunk to let it all roll around I would not suggest this to anyone anywhere thanks but I'm going back to Walmart

Today was terrible. . .lots of empty shelves. Produce, no celery, no cucumbers, lettuce looked awful, no bananas. No bread, had to track down an employee in the back room to ask a question. . .and we were not the only ones. I have never had such a terrible experience there. What's going on?

This store is generally dirty. The bathrooms are horrible. The cashiers are overly friendly, offering my kids candy out of the bag that theyre eating, not like a dum dum sucker bucket for all the kids ( without asking the parent)Everytime weve shopped here recently ( the past year) I end up with little moths/bugs in my cabinets and have to throw all the food out. Local pest control company confirmed they are from food & asked where we purchased most of our boxed foods from then shook his head and said we arent the only ones to complain. Wont be back again now that we figured out the source.

Ruler Foods basically is Kroger's version of Aldi. It's a no-frills shopping experience, offering mostly store-brand items, with the end goal of saving you money.You'll need to bring a quarter to release a shopping cart. (Your quarter will be returned to you when you return your cart.) You'll also need to bring your own shopping bags as you'll be bagging your own groceries.You might not be able to do all of your shopping here, but it's a great place for basics like milk (less than $2 per gallon on my most recent visit in April 2016) and non-perishable goods. The store even offers a small selection of produce, meat, and frozen items. Again, most everything is a Kroger brand.In my opinion, Aldi is better. However, I actually live in Missouri. I'm not sure if there is an Aldi near here, but as someone who grew up with Kroger, it's kind of nice to visit a Krogeresque store now that Kroger has left the area.

Clean, neat people friendly. Fruit and veggies fresh meat reasonable. Couple items not there that I needed and a couple items being off brand were higher than Wal-Mart. I'll be back😀

No frills for sure but the prices are great. Mostly Kroger Brand but there are some name brands. Could be a little faster at checkout, but it's a small price to pay.
