I'm not typically the type to write a review but the quality of employees at this establishment is extremely sub-par. So much to the point where it was just flat out ridiculous service. If there's one thing in specific I'd say to you about this review is for the love of god don't go here, in specific the employee Luke Bane. Is extremely rude, offensive, and flat out discriminatory towards his customers. His demeanor and attitude towards work and the quality of customer care and support is extremely poor. Not because he doesn't care about his job but because he doesn't mind being offensive, discriminatory, or rude towards his clients and his own customers. If there's one take away from this review is I will never bring my business to a potbelly's again and especially the potbelly's located on 1845 2nd St. Highland Park IL, 60035 due to it's extremely poor choice of employees and their respect for the people who end up support their paycheck. I would highly recommend management look into Luke's attitude and behavior and act accordingly, and I would also highly recommend that potential customers steer clearly of this crumbling business in Highland Park.

Here’s what you need to know: updating my review after 6 years. This location has been through a lot during the pandemic with a full time closing, then part time lunch only hours, to reduced staffing and no staffing. Wow! A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO EDGAR FOR HIS INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. It’s because of team leaders like him, that potbelly and this location has come out strong and are delivering perfectly made sandwiches and amazing experiences for the brand. The managers are super customer focused and friendly and make you feel happy being there.I’ve been there half a dozen times in the last 4 months and haven’t had any bad experiences with quality or wait times. Hence the upgraded rating.Regular Sandwiches are about $9 each so about $10-13/person with a drink. My kids love the shakes so that adds another 6 dollars to the sandwich cost.

Great Potbellys. My food was warm and tasty, the inside was accommodating and pretty larger, and the workers were all kind and welcoming.The area is also great with lots to do all around.It did feel a little awkward dining in and being the only one there in the whole building at dinner time but I chopped it up to the pandemic.Overall great food and great location.

We ordered lunch for takeout as a treat during quarantine and my Uptown salad was full of bad apples and a few bad grapes. Since the salads are made-to-order, the person making the salad knew the produce was bad and should have left them off. The salad would have been much better without having to dig them all out. Definitely won't order salads from this location again! Also the cookies on our shakes were stale and soft.

Terribly slow service. Sanitary issues in the prep area. Their new 'gyro' meat was left cold in a steam drawer, when the staff tried to 'warm it up for us' in their salamander heater we had to decline. They desperately need to sweep and mop and wipe down their tables. We were here around 7pm and there was only 4-5 people in the place and there were piles of trash on most of the tables.You're better off eating at Michael's!

All the employees are so welcoming and kind. Especially Stella. They got that Gucci Louie Vuitton sandwiches. Top tier. This is the Usain bolt of sandwiches, the fastest and best.

I'm now a Potbelly fan. They added a larger sub sandwich which is a much better and welcome size for me. My favourite's are the turkey and Pizza Subs. You can have the bread plucked to make it a skinny. I do believe they use more ingredients per sandwich. Add Sunchips and drink, you're good to go. This is quality food, on par with Panera I believe. The ONLY sub sandwich I'd consider putting in my body. Thanks for the quality meal. PLEASE SUPPORT OUR FOOD MERCHANTS DURING THE PANDEMIC! They do a fantastic job!

Good sandwiches, quick service. The enchilada soup was also very good. They often have deals for return visits within 48 hours such as BOGO sandwiches.

Just like any other potbelly, staff can be short with you. Incredibly sloooooow. Took 20 minutes to get a single sandwich which they left off half of what I asked for. Not a good option for lunch if you only have a certain amount of time.

This is a great place. I can easily walk a couple of blocks to here to get lunch whenever I need it. The food is good, and the service was good or at least reasonable.

Please teach your mexican empolyee to make milk shakes! hes always in rush and the only thing inside is the milk because he is to lazy to put enough icecream and make it right! been there many times and everytime he makes a shake its milk only WE ARE NOT PAYING for glass of milk!!!
