They need to keep their self scans operational if they don't like to check people out themselves. Seems at least 1 is out at any time. Recently all 4 were out and only 2 regular lanes opened. Manager watched everyone from her cubicle.

10/10 experience every time I go and get to see Gary's shining face. he truly makes every kroger trip worth it, even when I've had a bad day. if there was a gary fan club, I would be the president. hope Gary gets all the recognition he deserves because he is a literal angel sent to earth to bless us and our grocery store. thanks for reading<3

Gary is literally the reason I wake up every day. He is such an ally, I admire him so much. I hope that he gets a raise for all the hard work he puts in. He is there EVERY time I go to Kroger. He is always helpful and friendly and makes sure that my experience at Kroger is as hospitable as possible. Even when my credit card declines because my bank is strange, Gary understands. He has never once raised an attitude with me or my partner.

They never have open registers. Always has long lines. They seem to always be at least one cashier short. U-scan is a nightmare of people who don't know how to use it, or shouldn't be using it. It is sad when Walmart does the whole "no open registers" thing better. They always screw up the "Buy 5", "Buy 10" and digital coupon deals.

Nice, clean store with friendly employees. I think this location may have outgrown their building. The aisles are very tight, especially on busy days; makes it hard to find your items. I probably wouldn't shop here close to the big cooking holidays like Thanksgiving & Christmas. Shoppers would be running each other over & the wait to check out would be long.The layout of the parking lot is a bit odd & seems small. The traffic cannot flow smoothly & appears to be congested even when it's not.

This location is full of people who don’t wear masks, even though there is a huge obvious sign at the entrance that says “masks are REQUIRED”. Also, the self checkout is a disorganized mess and the employees do absolutely nothing about it. You have rude people cutting lines all the time, no one knows if there are two lines or one, let alone how to follow one What a joke.

Great Service but I wish they had more regular Pea Chips. They had other kinds but I did buy a different one to try. They also ran out of regular Brairs ice cream. They are Very busy on Sunday. Great location.

Nice building, good deals on what i shop for. go early to beat crowds. The management and staff aren't always that good but there's a few workers here that are the very best I've seen anywhere.

The day after the largest number of reported deaths from Covid 19, this store was allowing people I'm without state mandated face masks, was not enforcing social distancing measures, and allowed an over abundance of people in to crowd the aisles. When I mentioned this I'm passing the the manager in the blue shirt she responded with "yeah, I know". Extremely dangerous and illegal.

Went to this place with my mom and stepdad, i stayed in the car. i sat there and watched this lady (the door greeter) say my mom couldn’t come in. But then as me and my mom are sitting in the car i see her telling people they can come in as a group, but stay 6 feet apart. My mom is disabled and unable to do her shopping by herself so how are you going to tell someone they can’t come in the damn store. Oh, not to mention there is a VIRUS GOING ON and she is checking her phone for notifications. Lady with dark hair and black phone.

Not the largest Kroger store in the area but I'd rather make a couple short shopping trips than one large one so this works for me. The employees have always been extremely nice. The meat department employees in particular have gone out of their way to get me what I need for my husband's restricted diet.

Lots of rude shoppers. They block the whole isle.isles just big enough for 1 cart. Works stocking shelves block isles also won't move until there done stocking the shelf. Waisted lots of time on others to save. Not worth it!

Good products, great discounts. The staff here are friendly. But if there's one thing to complain about for this Kroger's, it'd be that there's not much variety in a lot of departments; go to Marion or Carbondale Kroger and you’ll find A LOT more.

Went to Kroger specifically for fresh cut flowers. They have a nice variety and prices are good.Check out has barrier between cashier and buyer. Staff were masked as was I.

I always enjoy shopping at Kroger and this visit was no exception. I always find everything I need and some things I don't need, but I get them anyway. The employees are friendly and helpful and they brighten my day every time I shop at my local Kroger.

You would think that a local business would help out local fraternities with some kind of a discount on large orders of fresh cooked foods for ordering 2 or more meals a month for functions but the store manager doesn't have the time to meet you in person it's only a quick no told to a employee in the deli for a response to be relayed the manager must be to good to personally snub you why do people shop Herrin Kroger

One register open, 5 people waiting. Found what looked like blood on two half gallons of milk, pointed it out to employee, she didn't say "thank you", or "oh my" or anything, didn't even speak to me. Usually have good experience in this store, not this time.

My go to store! Groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, and a wide variety to chose from in every department. Most staff is friendly! Great holiday shopping for meal preparation. Lots and lots of sales. Couponors dream store!

GoodHad a problem with the digital coupons. But custom service corrected it. She wasn't very cordial. But it worked out. I like shopping at kroger's in Herrin. Most of the people there are always nice and helpful

I listened to a group of workers complain about another worker very loudly while at self checkout. This is very unprofessional. The issue should have been addressed in private to a manager. Not only that, but I bought a jar of almond butter that expired in 2020.

Great employees and store has frequent sales on half of what I need. Convenient location for me too. But the store is too small for Herrin. Often stuck in aisle somewhere. Herrin Kroger needs store like Marion and Carbondale have.

The first 3 bottles of Kens lite ceasar salad dressing I picked up were expired (since Oct. 2018) this is March! The meat selection was great!!!
