The male cashier was friendly and timely, and eager to help. He is an asset to this company, as he provides consistent great service. The manager however is another story, as I was trying to shop an aisle in which she was attempting her freight put away she exhaled as if it was a bother for me to shop the area in which she was working. I ask her if a certain item was in that vicinity and she mumbled something walking around the aisle. The same lady approached the counter to take off one the shout it out refills because the gentleman accidentally had scanned an extra one and she proceeded to sigh as if we were taking her off task. I have shopped this particular location since it opened and have many years of retail management experience, and I have to say her attitude towards the customer and business is less than customer or company friendly. Most definitely needs improvement!

Not the friendliest, or [most] helpful employees at this location; downright rude is more apropos! That said, if you're in a rush, & have to stop at the North Herrin store- enter knowing- what you need, & where you'll find it (on your own of course), and w; little to no expectations, of [even] decent customer service...if the bar's set low from the jump, you won't leave [as] annoyed or disappointed!🤷‍♀️

Better stocked and cleaner than the Dollar General in south side of town. A bit too small but no big deal. Some of the workers not so friendly but then other ones are.

The staff at the Herrin Dollar General are so impersonal. The cashier didn't even speak to me except to tell me my total, even after I thanked him and said have a nice day. The store is stocked well and clean all the time.

Last two times was the worst experience ever! The cashier wouldn’t speech to you and if she did she was so hateful! The first time she witnessed a older gentleman fall and she laughed as she was strolling through fb and refused to help him. And the second time she was rude over scanned and threw my receipt at me! Will never be going back

Great store and management. Friendly and attentive . highly recommend this store! Ignore the one star rater... She's just mad that her husband got caught stealing on the job and was fired 😊

Always packed and always sold out of dew but at least that one guy doesn't work there now. You know the one that puts six two liters into on bag and adds eggs as well

So I have family that works there who gets harassed by her manager and she had a accident the manger did not care if she was ok made her work that day while cussing her out and making fun of her to other co workers

Rude, stood outside since 945 knocking and calling while the employee just ignored me & my kids (2 under 6yrs old) in 14° weather I'll never shop here again for that fact, like my kids and I obviously needed something urgent and they were just super rude called other dg in town and they agreed it was uncalled for and I'll take my business there after I speak with corporate it's all on camera, thank goodness.
