A road house in the middle of the highway with little else around. As such the atmosphere is rustic. The place is very clean and well set up for entertaining. The food is short order burgers and fries. I had the fried bologna sandwich and loved it. I had a side order of fried okra. Also delicious. Major beer brands in bottles, no taps. Liquors available, too. Service was remarkably excellent.

You know, for a hole in the wall joint, it was really cool. We were hiking on the R2R and decided to stop for a well needed meal. The bartender was very friendly and quick with the service. Uniquely, there were grafettied dollar bills stapled to the ceiling. Locals were friendly and struck up conversation as well. The food was delicious, and the spirits were plenty. I will definitely stop again when hiking in that area.

If you like a rural dive bar vibe, this is a perfect place for you. The food looked good, but they were out of the special the day we visited so we didn't end up trying any food. Drinks available are pretty basic, but if you are just looking for a cold beer or a jack and coke, they have you covered. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We would stop by again.

Stopped in with my husband and teens after a day of hiking. The kitchen was open until 10pm and under 21 could be there while the kitchen was open. It was a Thursday night and it was very empty aside from hikers we met on the trails and a couple of locals. Everyone is friendly, food is VERY reasonable and good.It is CASH ONLY but they have an ATM. Bill was $70 for 2 orders of cheese sticks, 2 double cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and fries, 10 wings, fries, 5 waters, a pop, 2 mixed drinks and a beer.Kid-friendliness: Welcome when the kitchen is openWheelchair accessibility: The bar itself is down one step but otherwise the rest of the building is flat entry level

My boyfriend took me to The Gap Bar and Grill while staying at Shawnee Forrest Cabins. This place was great. The people were super nice. The owner's dad was a wonderful man gave us plenty of places to visit and eat. Speaking of eating you gotta try their burgers they are amazing. Stop in there you will be glad you did. Definitely coming back again.

This was a really fun stop after a day of hiking the Shawnee National Forest. There were some characters in the bar that were pretty entertaining. Bartender and owners were very friendly.

Great food and drinks and great conversations! Owner is very nice! Was great to stumble on this place on a weekend getaway! Has pool tables and an inviting atmosphere. Don't pass this up if your in the area and need to eat or get a refreshing drink.

Hiking the river to river trail, this is a 10 minute walk once you get into herod, nice stop for a cold beer during a hot day!

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat and a drink after work one day. I was surprised by the cozy and accepting atmosphere. The owner was there and made our fried mushrooms himself. They were gone in minutes after being set in front of me. If I'm ever in the area I will make it a point to stop in again, maybe ride the mechanical bull? Thanks!

Great atmosphere with even only the bartender in there. Middle of day so none else was there. She was very friendly and kind and it was fun looking at the dollar Bill's on the ceiling that people had signed n left.😉😊 ALSO LAST BUT NOT LEAST PROBABLY THE CLEANEST BAR FOR BEING OUT OFF THE HIGHWAY NOT IN A TOWN AROUND STORES N HOMES ETC. JUST WONDERFUL LIL SPOT. CHECK IT OUT IF YOU ARE NEAR. P/S WE JUST GOT A 12 PACK TO GO AS WE WERE CAMPING AT GARDEN OF THE GODS.

Great little hole in the wall bar. They have the necessities that's necessary to become somewhat inhibited along with some food which helped sponge up some of that unnecessary lingering alcohol. Good staff, clean as you'd expect and great drink selection.

Nice place but watch your step, wife fell off ledge by a poorly marked step down place. That have clean restrooms but didn't eat there. They have a mechanical bull for the rodeo's,could be a fun place to hang out.

Enjoy the gaming here and listening to music on the juke box. Bartenders super friendly and accommodating. Small, cozy bar with friendly locals sure to make you feel welcome. Pool table also provided for entertainment as well as outdoor smoking area.
