We drove 3 hours just to see the stock, and did not regret it even a bit. It was such a pleasurable experience we decided to make the trip again only weeks later. If you live anywhere within 5 hours(or more), you are making a mistake by not stocking your tanks with Datz stock. The overall health, color, and genetics of their stock is of the best I’ve ever seen. If you’re on the fence, take this as your sign to stop in.

They are so nice and friendly and really know what they’re taking about. You can tell they really care about animals. I adopted a new family member! A bearded dragon. As I checked out they gave me a bunch of additional free insects for him along with the ones I paid for. Highly recommended.

I love this place. Each time I've gone in, I've had a very hard time not walking away with a new reptile. I did have one small issue regarding my frozen feeder mice, so next time I went in I discussed it with them and it was quickly remedied and I given more information for how to make sure I get what I need (it was a weight issue, nothing sure important). I'm grateful this place opened and I can be sure I'm getting good products from knowledgeable people.

Justin is literally the best. I felt like a friend from the first minute I walked into the "old" location. I love the "new" location, and I've been excited to watch the store grow and change week in and week out. I am excited every time I need to go and buy anything here. Never heard of the place and came in on a referral. Sounded like a place my 2 and a half year old would love so took him the next day. We arrived shortly after opening and were flabbergasted with the selection (well, i was). Staff showed my son the big lizard getting fed, let him feed some turtles, amd let him pet the frilled lizard! He ate it up and I'm sure he'd spend hours there if given the chance. I'll be back when my tank is ready!

Love love love stopping in this place when I get the chance. The Datz family are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming and sooo many awesome reptiles and fish to look at but wait there's more! They also carry some small pets as well as have been dabbling in dog fosters! Such a great local business and knowing I'm supporting a family vs a corporate pet chain makes me feel better about where my money is going. They care and it shows in their service.

I drove about 1 ½ hours to check out the store. They had a great selection of fish. A good selection of reptiles also. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They had some of the best prices on reptile accessories. It was definitely worth the trip!

I went in there completely overwhelmed with my new Dragon. I was upset and just overwhelmed cause I was givin alot of false information about how to raise them. I came in and was immediately welcomed with friendly faces who were so ready to help me. I told them what situation and was immediately put at ease that they were going to help me and answer any questions I had.one of the owners (which I can't remember her name) was so sweet and understanding. She talked me through everything and let me know that if I had any questions to call them Their prices are so reasonable and actually cheaper then alot of places we have shopped at . We are definitely go here for now on just for their customers service alone . Thank you for being so awesome.

Christine, one of the owners, helped us, a lot. Very knowledgeable....My girlfriend named him Drogon...yes, GOT fans here.Great place to shop. Great people, owners and staff. Friendly, personable, knowledgeable and honest (will advise honestly if you don't actually need something).Aquatics (not just cichlids), cichlids, community fish, dragon gobies, turtles, aquatic plants (good prices). Lots of reptiles - gorgeous assortment of lizards and snakes - buns, hedge hogs, guinea pigs, stinky slinkies (ferrets..name coined by the owner in a fb post..lol), spiders, large selection of Live, frozen and dry foods, Lots of merch, and more.If you haven't checked out Datz you are missing out._____earlier review___If you haven't visited Datz, this local family owned business, then you are missing out. Great place and my "go to" for all things aquatic. The owners and the team here are all knowledgeable, helpful, professional and courteous. The store has recently done some improvements to the front area and it looks the nicest it has in a long time. The t shirts are fresh and updated with great colors to choose from. Live, frozen, flake, pellets, and with other options on foods. I can be in and out quick or spend an hour looking at everything inside. Plenty of shop bred healthy fish to choose from. Variety of reptiles from cute ball pythons and chameleons to the impressive tegus and monitors. I love my red tail boa I got from here. She’s doing great. My pixie frog I got from there is a beast and they have these rad eye lash frogs I want to get one day too. Tarantulas, other spiders, and various bugs. Not my thing but cool to see. Geckos, frogs, tortoises, turtles, cherry shrimp and all the snakes are what I go to see. My BEL from here Frank is doing extremely well too.

I mistakenly ended up with a beautiful peacock at the register that the owner wanted to breed and didn’t want to sell, he still sold it to me no questions asked, I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else then Datz for my fish and reptile needs. Amazing store and customer service! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

DATZ Cichlids is more than just your local reptile and fish shop. They make everyone feel welcomed and the staff is always willing to assist with any questions. No question is a dumb question and they are always willing to help. I first started shopping at DATZ 5 years ago. When I started my fish journey, Justin was extremely helpful in guiding me in the right direction when my tank would take a turn for the worse. Since then I only shop at DATZ for all my fish and bearded dragon supplies! I look forward to the continued business and support for many years to come!

Awesome destination store! I can’t recommend Datz enough. Their quarantine process is fantastic as well as everything else. It’s really worth the trip! I saw 4 different species you normally only hear about and never get to see. Justin is a wealth of knowledge and his in house made food is making my discus go nuts! Keep up the good work Justin!

A great family run business, fish and reptiles are always in amazing health. Very kid friendly, my kids beg to go here daily. I wouldn't go to any local shop for my reptile or freshwater fish needs. Always full of knowledge and will make you feel like family. If it wasn't for Justin and Tine I would not be as successful with my ball pythons.

Best place you can possibly go for buying reptile, fish or anything about it. I got home today and realized my heating pad for ball python wasn't working. After making phone call to datz the owner told me come right now. At 9pm he made me new custom sized heating pad and sold me everything I need to get my terrarium temperature back to normal. Don't think there is anyone who could take care of you than these people. Very friendly family business oriented owners.
