I'm giving this place three stars, although I think the employees are kind, and friendly. I have never had a problem with any one of them. In the 4 years I have lived in harvey, I have heard so many things about everybody being crooked around here, but I didn't imagine that an owner of a Family Dollar establishment would probably be just pocketing money, and being so careless, and cheap, to neglect their employees, they're establishment, for having a leak in the roof, and having register one being disabled, which I believe is unfair to the employees. This isn't how you treat the people that are working not in there for you can I ask you collect your check, and force them to work in these conditions. They're probably so comfortable a an office somewhere, and meanwhile these poor employees have to empty out this storage container what you can see in the photos that I posted, every time he gets filled with every drop that falls from the ceiling that happens to be open and in plain sight as soon as you walk in. My complaint is not about the workers, it is not about the cleanliness of the store, my complaint is about the owner of this establishment who the heck is this guy

Staff is friendly and really nice. However all the food products are mostly expired. Shamrock farms cream was 4 months old took it back same day 1 hr later and it's restocked with new expired products. This is not on Family Dollar. Its bogus these companies think its ok to deliver expired products that should be discarded to a poor black community and make money. Its shameful.

I really needed to go to a family Dollar store that was in the area that I was in at the time and I GPS the nearest store near me and this location came up. The GPS also informed me that the store was closing at 8p and I would make it there at 7:35,so I said Great I will make it there just in time. But when I arrived the lights were on but the store was closed. I also noticed what seemed to be employees in the front of the building laughing and joking around with their cars. I have been to this location before but do to to the lack of management control of it's employees. I will NEVER visit this location ever AGAIN.

Store closes earlier than post to I went today which is Sunday it says open till 8 it was 730 an they had doors locked if time says open till 8 why close early? Will be making a complaint with general manager

It was nice the young ladies were very friendly. Staff need help clean the place up so your customers can get through .

All I simply was saying to the cashier or manager or whoever she was, the last time I was in there & I was checking out she put my items in a big garbage bag because she said they were all out of regular family dollar bags. As soon as I got home & took the grabage bag out my car the bag broke. (So basically it's a coustmer complaint)....... All I said was you could've doubled the bag, she basically was going back & forth me explaing with an attitude that cooperate only gives them so many bags & blah, blah, blah. That's understandable & has nothing to do with her doubling the big garbage bag to insure it want break. She continues to talk about the bag shortage, my question & I wanted to ask her then but I didn't because it would've resulted in me cursing her out because of her rude demeanor & attitude. She also said at the time they only had the smaller bags, so my question is : WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST PUT MY ITEMS IN SMALLER FAMILY DOLLAR BAGS? WOULDN'T THAT HAVE MADE MORE SENSE? Instead of arguing with me & not showing customer service! I have nothing to do with cooperate! I have nothing to do with you running out of bags either! A simple apology & better customer service skills would've been more acceptable. I live by this family dollar, so I frequent this store location a lot, it's not what you do or say, but how you do it!

If I could pig 0 stars I would the lat. Is filthy the manager on duty today at 10:27 February 4th which is a Monday had an attitude because I asked about the lat. She then stated that if she clings it it'll just be like that again that's not our responsibility that's a corporate issue and they should take care of this store like they would if it was in Homewood

Very clean and stocked store. Manager Jojo was very nice and helpful. The store oval all is so much better then it was 6 months ago. Very satisfied!
