Updated, service has improved at the pharmacy. Friendly staff, punctual. Seem to have fixed the issue.Service used to be amazing at the pharmacy. Could have a prescription called in at lunch and it would be done in an hour. Now they act like they are drowning in customers and the phones never get answered. Pharmacist was rude to both older women who asked questions while I was waiting on my prescription.

The quality of service at the Harrisburg Walgreens has taken an abrupt turn for the worse. It now takes multiple visits to the pharmacy to get prescriptions filled. Sometimes, there's no pharmacist and they are simply out of business... other times, it is a weekend day and the pharmacy is simply closed until the following weekday...next, you get told that "the truck" didn't make it (and I suppose that means that prescriptions are being filled at other locations and shipped in filled....by whom and are these people licensed?????). The drive up window is now closed and customers have to trudge inside to encounter subsequent marginal service from the pharmacy.Everywhere in this operation, the stench of careless indifference and blatant apathy abounds. Amazingly, I had a brief encounter with a "manager" and this individual gave me the news that the pharmacy was again closed and then without apology turned around and continued chit-chatting with another staff person. I am very disappointed with this failing business. If I were a stockholder in Walgreen Boots Alliance, I would be livid. In several different places, I have shopped at Walgreens for years.... but I'll tell you true...... Harrisburg deserves better than this clown show..... and I would be greatly surprised if the whole thing survives in this market full of other striving competition. The remaining pharmacies will dine upon whatever remains of their carcass.

If I could give zero stars I would. EXTREMELY rude pharmacy staff. Get mad they actually have to work. SMH.
