My daughter was visiting from out of town with her two dogs. One dog, Penny, had split the nail on one dew claw down to the quick. It was very tender and bothering her.The clinic fit us in the next morning for a nail trim hoping that would help since their vet was booked solid. The vet tech saw that the issue would need more than a nail trim and the surgeon was able to evaluate and treat Penny.Everyone at the clinic was so nice, helpful and pleasant. We can't thank you enough for squeezing Penny in and making her more comfortable during her visit to southern Illinois.

They have a few vets on staff, including the best exotic vet in southern IL. I have never had an issue here. Everyone who works here is friendly and professional. Their prices are fair. They care about the animals you bring them.

Had to make an Emergency run to the vet for our dog that was injured by other dogs. Carey Harbison was fantastic with our injured dog! He loved on her and addressed our needs on the spot. Worked us in to look at her in the hour before vet closed. Fantastic service! Thanks Dr. Harbison!

I took my dog there last wed for her appointment for an updated rabbies shot appointment. It wasn't till 2:30 they got me in at 2:10. I was out the door by 2:12. Dr. York is such an amazing Vet.

Took my elderly dog in for a checkup due to significant weight loss. Service was quick, so quick, I paid $42 for my dog not to be weighed so I didn't know for sure how much weight he lost. And for them to tell me he was healthy after checking his temp and saying his heart sounded good.I know elderly animals sometimes just lose weight, but this has been a continual concern. I am sympathetic that they are short staffed as I work in Healthcare, and all forms are short staffed; however, I still can't seem to shake they may miss something for someone else going this fast.Staff were very friendly, and I was given some options to try that appear to be working for now so I gave a neutral rating. Just want to put awareness to why they've gotten 3 from me.

I was told that this was the best vet around so I scheduled an appointment to have my dog spayed. I had to actually make 2 appointments because they " didn't have a record of her 1st appointment". Then I take her in for her 2nd appointment, go to pick her up, only to find out the doctor didn't make it in. Had to have her stay overnight. I picked her up the next day, she was scared out of her mind. They didn't give her anything for pain. And her incision is in the wrong spot! I will never bring another animal here again!!

We are new down here we needed a veteran. Took our fur baby she was not doing to good, the vet and the staff were great took care of her like she was their own. She pulled through and came home in 5 days. They are the best and very reasonable we are from Chicago and when I say reasonable, I pay $3,000 to fix my dog that was constipated for three days she was a 3 pound yorkie. This time it was only 500.00 for a blue heeler that is 38 pounds In renal failure.

Being on SSI my income is limited. A Dr suggested I get a emotional support dog. A friend just so happened found a no tags,not chipped, not neuter about 6 mths old mix bread. So we looked on line and posted found dog and info. No one responded. By then I had him for about 3 or 4 weeks. So I start to call around and check to see how much it would cost to get his shots, chipped, and fixed. And this was the least expensive vet still taking new patients and a fast appointment that I could afford . Everyone was so friendly and kind. After calling all over southern Illinois I was extremely happy with Harrisburg Veteranary clinic. Wonderful experience.

They have been great with all the animals I bring in. From my animals to my mom's animals. They are quick at getting you in to be seen. They even performed an emergency surgery on my mom's great Dane because he was spider bit on a certain area and was in distress. We picked the big boy up the next day and he did just fine. I can't thank them enough for saving an animal that we love and treat as family.

I've called 10x to try to get an appointment made to get my dogs nails clipped and a check up since I work all day and can't just pop in. Not one time have I got an answer or a call back.

They've always been great with my pets. When I had my 18-year-old toy poodle put to sleep this last trip they were so kind and considerate and handled everything with so much care.

Although the reason we had to go on Sunday 2/27/22 was under an extremely heartbreaking reasons, the emergency vet on call (due to the emotional state that I was in, I feel horrible that I can not recall her name) that we dealt with was so accommodating, caring and compassionate. Unfortunately, my 9 year old Great Dane bloated and had to be put to sleep. She treated my dog and my family with the utmost respect. She walked us through each step and gave us time and privacy as we said goodbye to our beloved fur baby, Woody.

This review is about the support staff. The vets have been good & the staff has been great when I've been there in-person. In fact, I came from out of state because of how comfortable I felt leaving my dogs there & how nice staff were. But the office responses (answering calls, returning messages) is terrible.A month ago, I called to schedule vaccines. I did get to speak to someone who told me it was too far out & to call back. They would be doing a new schedule. I called back & couldn't reach anyone. So, I sent a fax yesterday requesting a call back to schedule vaccines. No response. I faxed again today. No response. I called & after multiple rings, the call was disconnected. I called one more time & spoke to Laura.I asked Laura if their fax was working. She said, "yes - who is this?" I gave my name & asked to confirm the fax number. She said, "why?" I explained I had faxed yesterday & today but no one responded. She said, "Mmmhmm..." She confirmed the number (which is what I had used).Great vets. Good prices. Good staff (in person). Terrible phone communication & responsiveness.-------------------Update------------------------------After this review, Laura called & left a message requesting a return call to schedule my dogs' vaccines. I returned the call (no answer). I sent two more faxes. No reply.

They didn't do my elder Chihuahua very well. She's a sweet girl too, never yappy or aggressive. I rescued her 10 years ago, she's had dental problems and has had a couple of dental surgeries. She also developed congestive heart failure and is on meds. We took a chance last year and gave her another dental. Pulled teeth etc. Upon picking her up Dr. Berry told me there are a couple of teeth for me to "watch.? I watched them turn bad within a month and now she is suffering needlessly. If only she would have pulled those two teeth??? She is too risky for another surgery and the DR. KNEW THIS. Not happy watching her suffer. They won't give me any antibiotics. I'll probably never have another dog as to avoid the money making schemes of the Vet.

Pat York saved my Rottweiler from parvo. He saved my cats eye. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Your pets issues are cared for by staff in a timely manner. I recommend this practice to anyone. Today I'm taking in my cat. I know Pat will get to the problem.

I can usually get right in in an emergency. They love our animals like we love our animals. If they are busy, they try to be as fast and thorough as they can to get thru everyone quickly. My cats never like the ride to and from but they do great with Dr. York and the other staff members. They explain anything you ask as well. I love these people for helping my 3 fur babies.

Doctors are sweet & mostly helpful, reception acts like they couldn’t care less if your pets die although! After being told to come back multiple times with no results, & then being treated rudely & told you can’t come back without an appointment after they just told me otherwise? Finally the fourth go around my cat was diagnosed with megacolon, but I was then told there was nothing that could be done! :)) Thank you for wasting all my time & money. She’s good now, not thanks to you guys!

My little Milo loved seeing his vet he gave him kisses and butt waggles! They care bout your furbabys! I definitely recommend them to anyone needed good vet!
