The pharmacy is service is horrible. I got a message from walgreens that my pills are ready. I went to the window and the lady said your pain pills will be ready tomorrow. I told her I was not prescribed pain pills, she was looking at wrong pills, even after me giving all the information. I keep good knowledge of the technicality of pills that are going in my body but for anyone who is not update, they could have got wrong pills. Then she said, never mind pills are ready. Someone needs to remind them they are in healthcare business.

Pharmacy is horrible! Always on break. I have been trying to collect my prescription for last 2 days. 7 pm at night, they are on break. Next day 12:55 pm, on break again. Why everyone has to go on a break together?

Prescription service is absolutely horrible. I went to the drive thru to ask for my prescription and lady said it will be ready by tomorrow morning 10 am, i got a message in next 10 minutes that the prescription is ready and meanwhile I had already taken an alternative pill. You are not selling coffee, be respectful of people's health.

I did online order on Dec 15 th, I have picked up my items and once I came home I am seeing chocolates are expired on Nov 30 2023.I had very bad experience never come again, even I called to customer service and she talked with me very rudely.

Went to this location many times to find items, such as a twin pack of my deodorant which has been empty for 2 months. I went to find a bathroom cleaner, and a toothpaste, which were not available. Obviously this store has a serious stocking problem. This Walgreens is obviously mismanaged.

pharmacy staff customer service is terrible at this location , really rude staff, Walgreens suppose to bring better pharmacists at this location, waiting time is always too long doesn’t matter you request prescriptions on phone or in pharmacy

The worse of the worse location. Always it’s a disaster!! Wait for at least 45 minutes at the driveway, one hour at the line inside the store, then they give you the wrong medication. Go back to get the right one and go through this disaster again for 2 hours

Walgreens on Barrington Road and Irving Park Road, pharmacy I was on hold for 25 minutes nobody came on the line to apologize for the weight, they would pick up the phone and continue to put me on hold and not saying anything. I hung up called back and the lady that I spoke to said that they were short staff only two people working at Pharmacy, once their company provides more employees they can't do anything. I was calling for the status of my prescription she was rude and short with me, begin to argue with me that my doctor had not approved my med's. But it's on them they never resubmitted my prescription to my doctor, Terrible service

This company lies, poor customer service. After long hold instead of thanking disconnect the phone all the time. I call for refill, asked to wait 2 hrs, after 3 ¹/² hrs no med ready, asked to allow another 30-45 minutes. After 45 minutes, still have to wait another 20 minutes. I am disabled and unable to drive. My son is only 17 years old who is busy with his school and everything and was asked to come twice to pick up the medications. When I complained to management about this service everytime, I was told to transfer my medicines since I get the same problem everytime and same bad service everytime. Transferred meds to different company. Everyday this company only can get worse.

This rating is for the pharmacy only. They have an assistant pharmacist manager that has caused nothing but lie after lie due to hate of a race the way it seems to me. Ive gone back and fourth with prescription and the second time her boss accepted. Long and behold I return 3 hours later and one of the 2 weren’t filled and claim to state the quantity needs to be spelled out but it doesn’t. I went to another Walgreens to give it a test and ahhh it was filled hmmm I wonder why. I would name who she is or what she looks like but that’s just wrong. Just be weary going there and I’d suggest doing online or somewhere else. She’s either racist against white people or just one of those that not picks until it’s her way or no way.

First I want To say the manager in the pharmacy department is a Angel! It’s no many negative reviews but I never met a women who goes beyond to make sure her customers are happy. I had Insurance problems and 3 days later it was fixed when the other staff told me it was nothing they can do to help. She is something sent from Heaven with the kindness and self love she spreads. I couldn’t hear well but her name sounded like blondly or Wanda. I know She is the manager and the one who deals with insurance issues and I’m so grateful she helped me. And this had been my 2nd time working with her and she was kind each time.

Would give this a ‘Zero’ if it was an option. Pharmacy is unprofessional and possibly dangerous. Extremely important medication electronically send from dr to pharmacy… here is the process1. Arrive at pharmacy to pick up 2 medications for my daughter who was released same day from hospital. I was told one was ready and the other would be ready in 30 minutes due to the pharmacist being on break.2. Came back 30 later waiting in forever line to be told nothing was ready by the same associate that told me to come back in 30. After a few words he came back and said…. Insurance does not cover this medication and it would be 500 dollars. I requested a prior authorization be sent to dr, they agreed.3 . Next day called doctor office. They stated they did not receive any correspondence from pharmacy.4. Called pharmacy was disconnected after a long hold. Called back was told medication was out of stock and had to be ordered. When asked about insurance coverage… the lady said “ she has no idea. Then stated that medication might arrive today.5. Dr called said it’s imperative that medication is taken today and we should contact pharmacy to find out what other Walgreens would have it.6. Called pharmacy… on hold for 22 minutes then disconnected.7 went to pharmacy… was told they haven’t received the order yet…it was there just not checked in.8. Need I go on? This continues. Bottom line still sitting in pharmacy waiting on medication that they said they would have in 15 minutes. It’s been 30.They are short handed and working the best they can on a small staff. Corporate needs to intervene and fix this now.With all this I have to ad that the pharmacist came out and gave me her undivided attention and answered all questions throughly.

Terrible, just terrible. I’ve never been to a good Walgreens Pharmacy but I wouldn’t even call this one so-so. Rude employees, rude management, and the slowest pharmacy I’ve ever been to. There’s really nothing good to say about the place. I switched to a different pharmacy because I just couldn’t deal with the attitude and jumping through hoops for medication. There’s no reason why the pharmacy down the street takes twice as long as a mail order pharmacy from another state. I get my meds from MO in 4 days but Walgreens needs 10. That’s the same medication placed on the same day. Or having to hop around to 4 different Walgreens locations to get the meds I’ve been taking for over 2 years. Like ‘Hello, I’m gonna be back next month for more!’ Don’t act surprised like I’ve never been in here before. I’m here once a week to pick up some sort of prescription. Corporate should really just spend 5 minutes in there and see all the upset and disappointed customers at that pharmacy counter. “I’ll get that script filled, why don’t you just sit over there and wait”… an hour later… Can you tell me how much longer for my script. “oh wow, I didn’t know you were waiting for that. I’ll get it ready for you”. Like I left the store or something. I was sitting 8 feet away from you in plain sight for the last hour. Did you think I was just resting there or just something? I’ll never go back… I’d rather drive to Chicago and battle that in rush hour than go to the pharmacy 10 minutes away from my house.

This review is for the pharmacy only. This is honestly the worst location I have ever been to. I have had so many bad experiences here I don’t even feel like wasting my time to write them out. If you expect to get your prescription on time you won’t. Save yourself time and order at a different location.

Worst pharmacy ever been. On hold for 45 minutes and hung up on me. Had a prescription call in on a Thursday and still no answer by Saturday! This medication I can’t go one with out. Someone need to step in and do something. I would told I couldn’t ever get this medication transferee to another location. Just avoid at all cost if you need your meds anytime soon

I had a booster shot appointment and when I came in the lady rude and told me I was not eligible for my booster and told me to reschedule. When I did it kept giving me that same day as an option so I pick a different location the doctor told me I was eligible and that it has been 6 months. The lady told me it need to be 6 months which I was confused since my 2nd vaccine was beginning of May and then change it to 7 months.

The Pharmacy is very disorganized and there customer service is beyond terrible. They gave me a partial refill, charged me the full amount and told me to come back and get the remaining pills. When I returned the pharmacist told me that I should have come in before the end of the month and did not want to give me the balance of my order. Her reasoning was that these were expensive. She acknowledged that I was shorted but she didn't want to give them to me because they had done their inventory for the month.Today, I went there at 1:30. I was told that I could not get my prescription because the pharmacist was at lunch. The sign at the pharmacy says the pharmacist has lunch from 11:00 to 11:30. I was told to come back. When I asked if both my Prescriptions were filed. I told they were. When I came back only one prescription was ready. The pharmacist attitude was terrible. He acted like he could not care less.

I had an urgent need to pick up some non-prescription items, but I got there a little after 8 p.m. (the cutoff for curbside). The store manager on duty, Jeanette? Went above and beyond to bring my items to me. What a kind and accommodating young woman. The only criticism I have is that Walgreen's should post that 8 p.m. is the cutoff for curbside.

I just want to be clear this review is for the pharmacy, i have no experience with the staff in the actual store. So twice now they've denied prescriptions my doctor sent over and didn't actually call or text me about it. Once i had to get the generic prescription and they didn't call or text when they said it was out of stock, and didn't call or text the next day when it was filled. I had to call them 3 times in 3 days to follow up with one medicine i was trying to get filled!Then today i dropped off a prescription order, came back later and they said it wasn't covered under my insurance and the generic one isn't even covered and i need to call my doctor to have him call them to work it out with the insurance! Luckily it's not an urgent prescription but i'm so done with this pharmacy! My advice is to stay away!!

Never coming back to this location again. I wish I didn’t have to give them a 1 star to make this review, because they don’t even deserve that high of a star. Last Thursday my doctor called them to refill my medication and I received a voicemail that there was an issue with the order, so I call them to see what the issue was before I send someone to pick it up. The tech I talked to over the phone said it was ready for pick up, so I sent someone to get it after work. Turns out when the person went to pick it up the drive thru tech said they don’t have my medication nor is it ready. So I ended up calling them and the man I spoke with said someone put it back on the shelf, but it is ready for pick up. So AGAIN I sent someone to pick it up and AGAIN they said it wasn’t ready. So AGAIN I called them back and this time I talked to a women with a southern accent and she said they didn’t have it at the store because they were out of stock and it would take 3 weeks for it to come in. Seriously????! This location is horrible, how do you go from it’s ready for pick up to we don’t have it to they put it back on the shelf to were out of stock and it’s going to take 3 weeks to get it in??? I ended up calling the Walgreens in Streamwood that is just down the street from this location and they were out of stock, but she said they could get it in the NEXT day after 4pm. So explain how the location DOWN THE STREET can get my medication in just 24 hours, but it takes this location 3 weeks?!? This location should just close down because clearly they have no idea what they are doing and by the look of the other reviews on here everyone else would agree.

I’m so very very furious. I’m 27 years old and I was waiting for Walgreens to call me about my medication. Now my family members don’t know about all the medication I take but a pharmacy tech called my grandma telling them about all my medications and that one of my medication were ready for pick up. I’m over 18 years old I feel my rights were broken I feel violated. I don’t understand why they don’t have my information. I’m very disappointed I’m ready to change my pharmacy to Walmart. I’m so livid.

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever visited. They’ve lost the prescription as clerk left it on the counter and after two hours lied that we’ve never been here. Manager and clerk’s are to lazy and incompetent to even waste your time and nerves.

The heavy set lady at the front said she was privileged to be sitting on a stool. I did not know being unhealthy was a privilege. She has a miserable attitude and I know the company is tired of her too but probably is scared to fire her since she flaunts her sickness. Don't shop here as misery loves company. I am not making fun of sick people but when someone is clearly sick, mean spirited and actively insulting customers they will lose the company money and future business. At the time of posting this review the store has 2.7 out of 5 stars, so clearly management is lacking.

If I could give this Walgreens NO stars I would. I have been frequenting this location for 18 years. The wait times for the pharmacy have become absolutely ridiculous. I have been in line now 21 minutes while the car ahead of me obviously had some problem. Instead of making them come into the store to address the issue, you have left both lanes sitting here waiting. Totally unacceptable. I will be switching my family's prescriptions to CVS down the road tomorrow. Shame on you Walgreens for understaffing your pharmacy's to the point that long time customers go elsewhere.

I would give this a 0 if needed. One of the MANAGERS gave HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Said to me, you'll get respected if you respect me. After me definitely showing no signs of disrespect. I had just bought a buy 1 get 1 50% off deal and it didnt process that way because they had to be the same product. I understood. And she had no idea what the situation was and tried to make me pay for a difference. When I had already paid for both items. Then she says that ican leave, I asked if the money would go back to my card and she said what are you talking about. I clearly got upset at this point and said, lady, what are YOU talking about? I already purchased both, I'll just get the money back. And with a horrible attitude said she didnt know that, I said well you werent paying attention to me. Walgreens, how can you have a manager like that? And on top of that she was eating hot chips on the job before going on the floor. Like, what??? This was at 8pm. I will file a complaint for that manager, she was RUDEE
