Availability and selections are good, but if you are not paying attention, a lot of things cost more here. Today, they charged $1 PER lb extra for cutting up a whole chicken. Could have bought the same thing anywhere else or even at Whole Foods cheaper! Also pay close attention to labeling. Some things are not what the big labels lead you to think they are.

My husband and I usually come here early Sunday morning to avoid the crouds doing so we are able to get our shopping done quickly the problem always arizes when we attempt to use the self checkout. As there is not always a register open so early in the mornings. For some reason the self checkout is never smooth sailing for us. its either an unexpected item in the bagging area after we have placed our item and moved on to the next item. Or assistance needed when i dont actually need assistance. This happens every other item which unecessairly prolongs the checkout expierence as we are stuck waiting for an attendant each time. This is the only store we have issues with. We never expierenced this at Target or Jewel. At these stores the self checkout is smooth sailing. This use to be our go to but now we only come here if we absolutely have to. Its just too frustrating and the workers that monitor the self checkout don't seem to care.

Omg I forgot the girl name that worked behind the desk. I believe she has been working there since day one but she was the nicest person in the store. She was on point and knew her job .She would always greet you with a smile and willing to go a extra mile. She had patience omg she was just amazing. The girls behind the counter are slow lazy and are not nice at all they act like they don't like the job and don't want to assist you at all. The woman in RFD will be very much missed. Thank you for being amazing nice , wish you the best in your journey. Tony's will not be the same and I will never go to the front desk again regardless

Beware of this store’s ethics and adds in their sales flyers!!!!!! They do not honor their advertisements!!!!! Customers PLEASE check your receipts. I had a brief interaction with the store manager Jesus who was VERY unyielding, not friendly and actually made this situation worse!!! He should not be in any sort of managerial position!! I will no longer be a shopper at Tony’s!

Just come from Tony my local store that I enjoy to go to for 10 years. But just recently after 8 pm they close all cashiers. I do my grocies in the evening past 8 and I feed a family of 8. I always have a full cart of groceries and now I need to have to bring someone to help me just because it doesn't fit in the self check outs area. I had addressed this to the manager Paul. His response was that there isn't no cashier after 8 and they training other. But where is the training everyone else is working on little task they should take the advantage of that time to training in my eyes as a manager at a retail store. Looks like this issue has been going on for a while as I seen a recent review by Kathy Suits online.

This may be one of the best produce places I have been to, the selection is huge, the ready to eat food section is well priced with great quality. The cheese, and, bakery selections are pretty good. The store layout was easy to navigate, and above all, it was clean and well maintained.

A diamond in the rough!! I'm a pretty loyal Mariano's shopper and I take my grocery stores seriously. And I am pretty impressed with this location. First off, it is HUGE. It is pretty open and has a wide range of products from all over the world. The produce section is gigantic. It's nicely stocked and we'll organized. Their bakery is nicely displayed, and the whole place seems more open than you would expect from the outside. The only concern in this whole thing is there is only one way in and only one way out. So you're forced to follow a particular path when entering and exiting. Overall, I'm impressed. I know I will stop by this place more often from now on.

Possibly a good idea to pay your people more money so you don't only have two checkout lanes available for 100 people trying to check out. But unfortunately someone up top MIGHT have to take a pay cut for that to happen. 🤷🏼♀️

Worst place to order your groceries for pick up. #1. They take 15-20 min to bring out your order. #2. It’s like they hand pick the worst of every product for your order (my green beans, lettuce, spinach were old, moldy). At least 4-5 eggs were cracked or completely broken. On top of it all they charge you a $5 “service fee”. I have shopped inside and they obviously have good fresh produce but it’s like they’re trying to get rid of every scrap other people don’t want….or may be it’s all these young kids working there that are not careful with putting orders together?? W.e the case.

Great produce and international foods selection. However, I am really upset that they have stopped carrying most of the organic produce that they once had. They still have a vast selection of produce and grocery items. The new hot food section is very nice too. Loads of international ingredients! Great place to shop. Also, I love that they have Amish eggs and chicken here.

I like the products and all but, my biggest problem is they have no cashiers in the evening, When I approached one of the cashier's replied there cutting hours, but you are still here so why not scan my order , they are rude as hell!!I'm tired after a long day at work and still have to scan my own groceries!! That does not fit well with me!! I wish you can change this and have a cashier till closing!!! Or I would have to choose another store.

Sale prices never ring up properly at register. I buy the same sale items each time I go and I have to wait at the register forever for them to override it. Seems fishy. I don't know why no one else is catching it. Seen it a few times with different items.

Employees aren't trained and are racist , my mom asked them to do a price check where they had made a mistake and the items was marked wrong price. They were being rude to her and raising their voice assuming she is wrong without even checking. Next, I kindly asked to have the item checked and they wouldn't walk up to go see it and so I take a picture and they have the audacity to tell me that's still not their fault. So I asked to speak to a manager who barely spoke English and I wasn't asking for the product to get a price match at this point because I realized these guys aren't understanding English, but it took everything to tell this manager ..hey you have an incorrect price written here ...and he tells me if I have a problem, I should contact corporate. I even told him, all he has to do is take the mylar off and move it to the correct location, but he was just not getting it. He said no one else complains about this. That was his reasoning on something clearly put in the wrong spot with the wrong price mylar. Sad part is, even after spending all the time talking to the Manager, he didnt even fix the prices. He just had to take the mylar tag off and put it on the correct spot. This would have taken 10 seconds. Next time I walk in this store I will not waste time with any of their associates.

Seemingly good availability and selection of products/ produce. Picked up a bag of the big red onions .. and most of those were rotten inside. Another day, found a green worm in the cauliflower! How do they get away with these? Whatever happened health inspections!Watch out for misleading labeling too. Bought a bottle of their store brand "olive oil" which was advertised less than original brand. But on closer look, though the label says "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" .. there's smaller letters on the label that says "Sunflower oil and " .. turns out it's 75% sunflower oil and 25% Olive oil. Kept in the same aisle mixed along with olive oil and "sunflower oil" mentioned in smaller font. Most customers miss it if you are not that savvy. So if you are used to blindly trusting and picking products off the shelf like in your traditional American stores.. this is not your place. I was disgusted at their ethics. Makes one wonder how organic is their organic produce etc, you know.

Toni's has a good variety of food items for different nationalities. Although sometimes you do have to be careful of some of their produce.

On October 26th, 2023, I made the mistake to go to Tony’s in Hanover Park around 7:30sh to buy two weeks worth of groceries. Not only I found myself at a huge store with overly priced items but I got shock after spending more than an hour going aisle to aisle that no register was opened . There were two young guys cleaning the conveyor belts of two registers talking and having a good time.I asked one of them if his register was opened and he said no. To my surprise I had to get in line to use the self-served register which there’s no room to put your groceries or my bags because there’s not enough room to put your bagged items in the bagging area. I proceeded to go to a register and started to ring each of my items, soon I had no more room at the bagging area so every time I ring an item the register called out one of the employees to enter their employee number to override the error message. I started to get anxious because I needed an override for each item that I rang. All of the sudden there were more than 15 people waiting to use one of the registers. Two women were going register to register to override error messages. So, I asked the woman who came to my register and I asked her if she was the manager at first she didn’t want to respond to me but then she said why do you need help?. I responded that why won’t you open a couple of register because I have a lot of groceries and this is taking too long to be overriding error messsages every time I ring an item? and Alexandra got and attitude like if I was bothering and she got defensive. She responded they were short handed. There were like two employees, two young guys sweeping the floors one standing outside the customer service window talking and laughing. I said come on there’re way too many people waiting and no register that are open. Continuing waiting for overrides the other girl came and asked do you want me to help you ring your groceries, I answered ‘No’ it’s too late, I’m almost done. I said you could open another register and she replied “ we can’t” I asked why not? She replied the most ridiculous thing I ever heard, she said “we can’t open the registers because it is the company’s policy. I got more upset because I was purchasing over $300 worth of overly priced groceries, I was ringing each of my items by myself, I was bagging my groceries by myself, spent more time at the register than the time it took to go around the store shopping. And to hear this absurd answer that because is Tony’s policy, to not open registers when there are a lot of people who are waiting at the self-serve registers to ring their own groceries and they have about 5 employees there doing nothing talking and laughing sweeping the registers area having great conversation. I will never go back there. I prefer to leave my money in Fiesta Market which is down the road on Irving Park Road in Streamwood then go to Tony’s ever again. Where’s their customer service skills? All they want is our money. No customer appreciation at all.An upset unappreciated customer.

This place has gone downhill since they were bought out. High prices, understaffed always, HORRIBLE self check out experience. Staff is nice but the scales are not calibrated correctly. If you have a full cart of groceries but there's no cashier you get the LOVELY experience of the self checkout yelling for every other item for a full 20 minutes. FUN TIMES.

Someone needs to do better on checking expiration dates. Just shopped for groceries yesterday and my 8 yr old was the one who noticed today that the yogurt was expired.

Not a fan of the forced self check out at night. Worst thing to do to a customer . Gonna have to go elsewhere from now on

They have good things but to get prices or names of things in this place is hard. As an example they sell different flavors of tamales but they don’t care to tell you which is which, apply that to many other stuff. Also that ready meals area is unattended, and the people in the deli look like work is forced on them. Unless you follow them around multiple times they won’t ask you if you need help even if there’s only you.

Clean store , friendly staffEdit: Stopped by Friday night 9:15pmStopped to get some stuff from the deli and was told they close the meat/deli section by 9:20 even though they close at 10. The ladies were nice enough and got me what I needed. As I'm trying to check out 9:25 ish all the registers were closed. So the poor couple in front of me had a cart full of food and the girl in charge was very rude to them. Told the man he should of gone earlier in the day now he has to check himself out. The man is not wrong how does it make sense to send your cashiers home when you see it's busy. The store closes at 10! That was extremely rude of that lady. Management needs to do better.
