I used to love this place, but since the new owner took over the quality is down, the prices are up.No longer a fan.Since the owner responded, let's try this comparison, ham salad at DK's market is $12.50 a pound, ham salad at Schnucks is $7.99 a pound. Severely higher prices, they used to be comparable. Drafthaus pizza? 12.50 at DK, 8 bucks at SchnucksGods forbid you want booze.. see the picks, prices are at least double at DK's now. Jameson at Schnucks, 23 bucks, at DK, $43. Vodka? $34 at Schnucks, and a whopping $73 at DK!The bbq pork burgers doesn't taste the same, and I've heard that from others as well. Lesser quality. The bratwursts are never stocked like they used to be, they were one of my favorite items in the store.Lots more, but that's the gist.

This place always has amazing customer service. They also have the most fresh produce and meat to choose from. I do my basic grocery shopping at the big stores, but I come and get all my meat and vegetables here.

I always enjoy shopping in small town grocery stores to support local businesses. D K's always has a good selection of items, especially the deli where I tend to shop at most of the time I'm there. The staff is always friendly and quick to help to take care of you. On a scale of 1-10, it's definitely a 10!!

Great little small town grocery store. Has all the staples, lots of locally sourced products, liquor, hot/cold deli and outstanding meat department. Some items are a little pricey, but it's the only grocery for miles and a godsend for us country dwellers.

I enjoy shopping at DK's. It is always clean and uncrowded. They have a nice selection for a store of their size, and the deli is fantastic. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's nice to have a grocery option in town so if you only need a few things you don't have to go all the way to a larger town.

They are really known for the meat, but I like them for a lot more than that. Their deli is phenomenal (they have hush puppies, which is really unique). Their lunch platter is so good. I think their deli is a hidden gem, they have a good variety and it always tastes great. I can’t really express how good their lunch platter is (I got 2 pieces of chicken, 2 sides, and a roll with butter for around $8). I also just like the small town grocery store feel and this store is 100% a small town grocery store. They also have a lot of random things. They have milk in glass containers that can be recycled and Walmart doesn’t even have that. I literally love the deli food so much and it is way better than any other deli. I would highly recommend any one in the area checking this place out and eating at the deli.

We love DK's market! We often stop to grab lunch at the prepared food counter. They have a handful of small carts for kids to push around. They have a great meat section with a butcher. It's a perfect small town grocery store.2023 update: We still love this place! Great employees and a fantastic resource to have so close.

Lots of good deals. The meat is very tasty. Sure wish they'd start making their homemade pizza burgers again. They were wonderful. We also love the thicker cut pork steaks.

I love shopping here. There are things that are more expensive here than other places but they run great deals all the time, their deli hot case is always stocked with fresh delicious food and the variety is outstanding. The service from the employees is nothing less than remarkable. I'm new to this area and I moved far away from my favorite winery. They special ordered my favorite wine to keep in stock. They also carry things that you cannot normally find in a mass produced corporation chain store. We will continue to frequent this establishment as it has become one of our favorites.

This place is True Americana. Went there on Memorial Day...great service, great quality meat (smoked a tri-tip..absolutely delicious). Good craft beer/wine/bourbon selection. They were selling food to go, it all smelled great. You can tell this a community hub. People sitting outside talking, and eating on a beautiful day.

Such a neat, clean, and friendly store. They had some great sales going on the last time I was there. You can find copies of the Owl Creek Gazette out in the entryway on the wooden bench, but they go fast. You can also check out the cute free library cabinet outside the store for more copies or other fun reads.

This store use to be reasonably priced on food items but who ever took it over has raised prices beyond crazy. I know prices are high everywhere but this guy must be really greedy.Also noticed some Walmart items, Walmart tags on them, priced/ remarked double.We no longer shop here. Worth the drive to Edwardsvile now

I don't think I've ever been to a grocery store where everyone has been so friendly, polite, and courteous. It's almost as though they don't get paid to work, but get paid on how friendly and helpful they are. It's refreshing. And while you're there, be sure to visit the Deli in the back. Their food is fantastic. It is quite worth the visit.

As a truck driver, fast food gets old quickly. I dropped my trailer and went to this wonderful market. Great customer service and great selection of fresh vegetables and meat amongst anything else you may need for dinner or drinks. I have it saved in my maps to stop again when I'm in the area.

I was just here with my toddler who fell asleep right as we pulled in. When the ladies working saw me carrying her they all offered to help me with anything I needed. After I checked out one of the ladies who was off the clock helped me take my items out to my vehicle and load them while I carried my daughter. I've shopped at many places before with her sleeping but this is the first that Ive had anyone even offer to help me with anything while she was. Wonderful humans that work here. I didn't catch their names but they truly made my day much easier. I cannot recommend DK's market enough because of their employees. Thanks guys

The food quality is not good and way over priced! I bought hamburger pack on Thursday afternoon and Saturday went to use it and it was brown and had a smell. I will not be returning to this store.

You have to try their fried chicken they serve at the back deli. The food was delicious! Best fried chicken I've had in a long time. They also serve fried catfish and have an assortment of sides. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy... Yumm!

Used to love this place for the meat sales but the last few visits are complete disappointments. They never have what they advertise. Bait and switch. Went for brats. No brats. But the meat guy is trying to sell me a family pack of rib eye steaks instead. Grab a few things to at least justify the gas for the 20 minute drive and get overcharged. Bring it to her attention a phone call later and I hear that that was last weeks sale price but they'll give it to me. (screenshot of the ad below. last time I checked 3/25 was in between 3/22 and 3/28) So ,yea, thanks for actually honoring your advertised price. Never thought I'd find a place that makes me glad that Walmart is around the corner.

This review just applies to the deli. I used to love getting food from the deli especially the fish on Friday. Unfortunately in the last year it seems like no matter what time I go or even if I call and ask for fresh food it is always almost inedible. This time was the worst. The beer battered fish was cold and chewy. The hush puppies were literally too hard to bite into. Fearing the worst I also ordered some chicken strips just in case the fish was nasty again. Even the strips were soggy and barely room temperature.

This little family owned store is one of the best stores I've been to in a long time. I wish this store was closer to where I lived. I would buy exclusively from here. They have everything one needs. Help them out by shopping here.
