Some deceptive prices. Prices different when you get to the register, better value items that have no pricetags, wrong pricetags on things. DG has a history of this and it seems they're doing it in Greenville too. Very rude un professional the manager in the daytime is a appalling joke will not help you if you can't find a item acts like she is too good to help a customer out that is your job lady start doing your job or go find another job if you can't do your job right also this store is a cluttered mess probably because of this lazy manager this store is a joke I have never seen a worse Dollar general like this one

I would have given this DG a zero if I could. On Saturday 10/21/23 @ 9:30p I went into this business. I had shopped went up to the register to check out. Cashier totalled all my items up and I gave the cashier several coupons. Cashier then went to scan the paper copy manufacturer coupon and it wouldn't scan. Cashier then got the In store manager one who closes the store and she came over and said "we don't take paper coupons anymore". I then said "well where does it say that it needs to be posted in store" manager gets angry with me and snotty says "its on the website" i said where at where does it say that. The manager calls another manager named Pam. And her snotty and rude to me tells me the same thing they no longer accept paper coupons and it's says it on the website. I did not pay for those items because I knew they were both lying. I went out to my car and pulled up website and it says no such thing. So I went back in very calm and nice and said "I looked on the DG website and it says no such thing" very rudely the closing manager says call the manager and if you don't leave I'm calling the police. So I walked out and I called the DG number. I had spoken with an agent. SHE TOLD ME THIS IS NOT TRUE. THERE IS NOTHING STATING DG DOES NOT ACCEPT PAPER COUPONS. SO DON'T LET THEM TELL YOU THAT. The lady I spoke with was very nice and there will be an investigation into this. DG has a zero policy over this type of behavior. The manager didn't think I couldn't talk to someone or I would just take this and either pay for it and leave she was way wrong. Shame on both of them for treating a patron of this manor. They should be ashamed of them selves.

They don't hire african Americans my son has put in numerous applications... young adult healthy!!! But when I go into the store ( Greenville) I always see new faces that have came from other local stores in town... Hmm... This also including (mulberry) but they need help!!!!

Hate to complain as we don't have that many business left in town. But...the shelves in this store are always empty! If you are looking for a sale item forget it, it'll be out of stock. Employees are usually friendly. On my last visit I tried to buy gift cards that were supposed to be on sale. At least the gift cards were in stock, but nobody knew how to ring them up at the sale price. Cashier asked for help from the manager. Manager stated they couldn't ring up the discount and didn't seem to care. Said several other people had tried to buy the sale gift cards too.

Better prices than IGA, but strictly for basics. They could use some plant-based meat products in the freezer. At least some frozen vegetables, which I didn't see a very wide selection of either. It's not like I'm asking for much. Just a bag of stir fry veggies. As someone that predominately doesn't eat meat, it's a little alienating.

Store was clean and things were easy to find. The staff just seemed like they were having a bad day. A lady needed help with the self check out and she had to wait a long time for help. I had the same problem. When I did get help it was a matter of me not knowing to push a button at the end. The lady who assisted me look like she was mad. No one was rude or mean. They all looked like they were having a bad day.

The staff is normally very nice and helpful, but there is usually only one person working the entire store. I've never had the experience of going there and leaving with everything I intended to buy because they are always out of EVERYTHING. It's a shame that I usually have to go to to the store in Pocahontas to find the rest of what I need even though I live here in Greenville. I thought that this problem would have improved with the newer location. It seems worse than before.

Unfortunately it is a death trap. Stock in the isles, floor machines in the walkway. Display racks in isle and lines 10-12 people with 1 check out. I had not been in the store in years. I will not go back. Too many Dollar General stores in the area to choose from even if it is convenient I will drive further to shop in a safe environment.

Taylor solved my issue quickly and efficiently with a smile on her face when my frustration with a product had me ready to blow up. Abdule is a manager in the making very friendly and helpful and both deserve a raise for there hard work.

If I could do less then one star I would. The customer service in this store is comparable to sandpapering your teeth. Every time I have been in this store, there is always a line and one of the two registers closed. I often ask if their is additional assistance and they say "yes" yet let me stand there, staring, for up to 15 minutes. Today, I came in and had this experience yet again, with the added bonus of a few detestable actions. First being, the credit card machines were down and no communication was verbally communicated, only small signs on the registers, even while customers in line thought that the registers were functioning because the lines were so long the signs were blocked. I took the courtesy to tell everyone in line about this and a few left slightly upset. They should really post this information on the door! Secondly, as I was checking out, I noticed that the lady left a bag with a half gallon of milk. Instead of providing good customer service, the clerk asked me to take it out to her. Bottom line, this store's employees are not going to look out for the customer.

Next time you have to evacuate the store because someone gets sick you should calmly explain why instead of yelling at customers to get out with NO explanation. "EVERYBODY OUT!!!!!! and "YOU GET TO THE FRONT....OUT!!!!!" Screaming this and being rude only makes you look unprofessional and drives customers away. Here's what you should have done......"attention everyone.....we've had someone get sick and we have to have everyone evacuate the store as a safety precaution in order to sanitize the store. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

Way to small. You wait in line forever. Dollar general needs to build a new store in Greenville Illinois. The only thing I can say is the staff is great. I feel horrible that they have to deal with the bad environment. Not mention the air conditioning half the time doesn't work during summer time. Just a nasty store.

This is the definitely an anomaly in the DG chain. This store is always cluttered and dirty. It seems as though they are always under stocked and short staffed. This is truly unfortunate, because a DG in a college town is usually a Godsend.On the bright side, the staff are always pleasant and helpful.

My grage and storage shed is more organized than this place. My stuff don't fall off the shelves, you can walk through the aisle and find stuff. I was going to keep this to myself & never go back but now I have huard 6 other people say the same thing.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but I wish they would relocate this DG to a better building. The a/c tends to go out, the store is crowded, there aren’t enough staff, and there’s always a line at the register. This DG gets enough business, it could have even more with the right model in place.

All Dollar Generals are not the same. I shop here pretty regularly as it's close to my house the story is kept clean and orderly the employees are friendly and they always keep a good collection of merchandise.

This Dollar General In Greenville ,Illinois Is Clean And Everything Is Easy To Find. We Went In There To Shop Today And Got Very Upset Because We Couldn't Use The Bathrooms. And There Is No Locks On The Inside If You Could Go. We Left And Don't Care To Go Back. Might As Well Put A Sign On The Entrance Saying,"NO BATHROOMS FOR SHOPPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A wide variety of foods, including a refrigerator section and when a small freezer. We came to buy a comb, and I could use a credit card for a $1 item, which is a plus. It's super crowded, though, with stock. So the aisle floors are not completely clear.

This store is very poorly managed! Always dirty and always takes forever to check out because there is only one associate on the register even when the line is very long. With one or two exceptions, the employees are always rude and very unprofessional. I can see Dollar Tree taking away a lot of DG's business when they open.

I haven't been to a Dollar General Store yet, that I didn't like!!! The clerk's are all local people,all are very friendly and helpful, especially when you are unable to find a particular item they'll show/tell you exactly where the item is.

This place is a dive. Dark, dreary, dirty, cluttered. It looks like it belongs in the slums somewhere. While every small town around gets a new DG, this town won't ever get one. It's location apparently caters to the college students and not to the people that live in Greenville year around. Don't go.

This store in Greenville is so busy and they will not open another register. The line can be all the way to the back of the store. I really don't like that store. Any other town is awesome.

Store is dirty and over crowded and usually has crate carts of products blocking isles and products and checking out seems yo take forever. Shooping carts are located outside which makes it inconvenient to shop there.

A lot of various products,at reasonable prices.But the Greenville,IL 62246 location. Has very limited isle usage,making it very difficult to move throughout the store. Especially for the Handicap.

I thought things would change in the new store but everything is the same. Have unpacked product in the aisles and 1 checker. Self check-out lanes closed but I wouldn't use them anyway.

Its a nice store but small! Kinda tightly packed with no real room for the people to reload shelves AND you to pass by in many isles.
