This campground was a Yogi Bear site but since then it has become very run down. The bathrooms are original and definitely need to be cleaned and updated. I would recommend not using them . The pond is full of algae and the advertised boats and kayaks are no where to be seen. Upon check in there was no itinerary to include the guests but there were hay rides nightly golf cart runs poker golf and bags tournaments but if you were not a seasonal you didn’t know about it. The gift shop was poorly stocked and the staff was not friendly. The basketball court was broken as well as the kids jump pillow. The parks were worn down and broken. The ice machine had mold in it use at your own risk. The golf cart we rented was for four but the back seat tilted that you were at risk of falling off. Especially on the pot filled roads throughout the campground I recommend staying somewhere else and recommend the owners put a little pride in their campground and take care of the place or pretty soon you won’t have people coming back because the place is falling apart

This was our first campground stay outside of our home state of NJ. We arrived on a Monday evening and the office was already closed. We were able to quickly contact staff to get ourselves setup in our site. The site itself had a slight downslope toward the rear but easy enough for our coach to level. All utilities were located at the drivers side rear of the site which was perfect. The roads are in decent condition and it looks like they’re adding a few more rows of sites and the grounds seem pretty well kept. The lake is pretty and the whole place is surrounded by farmland otherwise. The staff that I’ve had the chance to meet have been great and responded quickly to any of our questions or needs. Unfortunately, in the off-season, the store and office are closed but they are always around to fill propane if needed. There are quite a few full timers here and everyone we had the pleasure of meeting was very friendly. We had no issues. Yes you will hear staff running equipment here and there to keep the campground running and you’ll hear the occasional quad, motorcycle or dirt bike but it’s nothing unreasonable unless you’re stuck up about those kinds of things. It’s been very quiet here at night as well.I wish we could’ve stayed here the whole month but it gets cold fast around here and the wind never seems to let up. Don’t leave your awning out! Can’t wait to come back when it’s warm!

Had a good time. I had planned on bringing my dog but I was glad I didn't bring her out. She is scared of fireworks and people were letting them off that weekend. Looked pretty kept up. Bathrooms by the office are small not for bigger people.

Its a nice area, friendly staff, hot showers available, gift shop, food options, ice cream etc. Golf carts you can rent. Only complaint was the pool was down on our visit and we couldn't find good access to fish without a boat. Would stay again.

Very friendly people. There were some fireworks and shouting at night, but it calmed down at about 1030. The spots are pretty well maintained. There is a lot of area to walk around and explore. The lanes are a little narrow. If you have a larger camper it can be tricky to get situated. But if you need help, people are more than willing. Will be back in the future.

Absolutely loved it! Great place to take the kids. So much for them to do, in ground swimming pool, fishing, air pillow for them to jump on, playgrounds, mini golf, and you can even rent golf carts to drive around the campground! In the office they also sell goodies and snacks as well as ice cream.

The grounds are amazing. We go every year for the Halloween activities, hay rides, cookie decorating, etc. it's all really fun. The best part is the sand bags. They have many options ranging in price but I suggest the motherload which is the biggest bag for $18 but you get a little bit of everything, and you get to shake it all out in the water table to discover the gems and fossils.

Nothing like the pics bathroom sink had no water campground stated they would look at it they did not. Jump pillow not up office hours very sporadic no characters as stated on the website. No fire rings making fires more hazardous. Young children driving golf carts very fast around campground. Only thing we enjoyed was the light parade that seemed to be put on by the seasonal campers not the facility itself.

If you are looking for a place for a single night, keep looking! Don't stay here.We asked for RV sites with water/electric. The not quite competent staff gave us tent sites in the middle of a field. On the plus side, we were the only ones in the field, it was very peaceful. The office closed early at 6pm, so we couldn't ask for different sites. We spent 30 minutes trying to get near level. This was exactly the experience we didn't want after driving all day. If you are only looking for a place for the night this is not the place for you; keep driving.

Trashy, run down, dirty, unprofessional staff, and I could go on. This is nothing more than a dirty trailer park posing as a campground. Stay away!Restrooms: Nasty

I wish I could rate with -5 stars. When I called 2 make a reservation I had stated that I wouldn't be arriving until 12 am when we booked a cabin. They asked how many adults, how many children, & any pets. I thought it strange that pets were allowed in the cabins but I was thankful after I confirmed with the woman on the phone that I didn't have to make other arrangements.I made the reservation & rcved the confirmation email. In the email it stated, "new policy no pets in cabins." I immediately called to confirm. When she checked she stated no pets in cabins. Can you imagine if I drove three hours with the dog to be told that I couldn't have pets in the cabin? See attached where it shows she selected two adults, two children, & one pet. They don't know their own policy. When we arrived at midnight we found our cabin locked w/a padlock. We went to the office to find a note containing a phone number. We dailed the phone number & the call could not be completed as dailed. Fortunately we found an employee wandering with friends in a golf cart & she was able to open the office & secure the key.Now with the way this cabin locks is w/a padlock from the outside. Anyone can lock you in! The lock on the inside is a slide latch that did not mate up. See pics.In the morning we set up our cooking grate over the campfire area. I call it that because it's just a clearing in the grass. It's not a fire pit or a fire ring. In the morning & afternoon the amount of golf carts being driven blasting music by people drinking is astonishing & carts being driven by children as young as we would est 8 to 10 yr olds unaccompanied by adults is equally significant. I wonder if their insurance is aware. We left for the day 2 visit local attractions & go into Peoria. We came back about 9 pm 2 find that the local drunks on golf carts had run over our fire pit & our cooking grate. One of the legs was bent & the grate bent inward. The firepit was 14' from the road! It took me over an hr 2 fix the metal frame, the leg, & reweld the grate after we arrived back home. The band was across from us & was pretty loud, we didn't know a band was playing across from us when we booked. Golf carts everywhere as they like to have a "parade." Great, drunks on carts. The band did stop at 10 pm however someone was setting off fireworks until 10:45.We couldn't have an enjoyable campfire. We stayed holed up in the cabin & we could hear the band clearly. The next morning I went to the office to complain about someone driving through our site mauling our grate. The attitude was one of what could we do. Um, limit drunks on golf carts!Sunday morning, we hurriedly made breakfast, squared away the cabin, made sure everything had been swept, clean & tidy, my wife & I went to the office to have them sign off on the cabin to make certain we recved our deposit. We wanted an employee to sign off & give us a copy in writing that the cabin was fine. The office worker didn't know how to open the cabin door! It is a rope with a dowel that you pull down on and the 2x4 latch lifts out of the pocket. She got snippy at us asking for the inspection and my wife shot back that our property was damaged and we have read prior reviews where they have kept the deposit without merit. The jumping pillow they say they have is nonexistent, the basketball hoop is downward at a substantial angle, the mini golf course is run down (there was a full garbage can with flies all weekend), the shores of the pond are filthy, the bathrooms are disgusting both men and women. In the womens there was a hairball the size of a rat my wife said all weekend, there's mold everywhere, in the mens there was a dookie in the toilet for at least a day. The latches are nonexistent in the mens room. The playground is run down. They cleared a gulley and put all the cut overgrowth piled up.This is by far the worst Campground I've ever stayed at in 51 years and my wifes camping with me for 23 years.Avoid this place like the plague!Playground: Run down.Restrooms: Absolutely disgusting.Dog-friendliness: The employees don't even know their policy.Picnic area: The entire place is run down.

Clean. Organized. Mini golf and playground for the kids. Nice swimming pool. Wagon ride in Saturday. I really liked the golf cart and side-by-side parade Friday night at 9:00. I'm pretty sure we will be back.Dog-friendliness: Lots of folks had dogs on leashes or tethered.

The only thing good about this place was the price. Whatever pictures they have on their website did not come this park. The bathrooms ,showers and laundry rooms were filthy. The parade of golf carts on the weekend was just too much. They already do nothing but drive around in them. The mini golf looked like it hadn't been used in a year it was so dirty and cluttered. There was no bounce pillow. It was just really bad!!!!! We left early.

I think I could cry. Used to come here as a kid so took my son here this weekend for his birthday. Place looks NOTHING like the pictures. The playgrounds are so bad I don’t even feel comfortable letting my kid play on them. The jump pad is broken. The mini golf course is basically unable to be used it’s so ran down. Rocks everywhere and just stuff in the way, golf balls won’t go anywhere… let alone the hole. Even the lake is hard to even fish in bc it’s not maintained either. The only thing to do is the pool which looks the same as it did 20 years ago but… ran completely down. I feel like the worst mom ever for bringing him here. I’ve been trying not to cry since I got here. If I could get a refund I would. I would rather be at home and at the local pool then in this dump.

Grandkids had the best weekend ever! Staff and owner were friendly and very helpful. Activities kept the kids busy and loved the wagon rides.

There is a lot to do but most of the camp is pretty run down. Staff was helpful. Seems like a party place for locals. Had a golf cart parade that was very loud. No fire rings even though they sell wood. Was told to just burn on scar marks in grass. Sights were very close together and backing long trailers is challenging due to tight turns.

We have come here in the past because we have family in the area but we will not be back. The campground has gone to white trash trailet park. Golf carts driving at all times of day and night with music blaring and underage drivers going well over the posted speed limit. Funny thing is we were stopped coming into the campground just after one of the speed bumps by someone on their "security " telling us we were over the limit. Where is he the rest of the time. The full-time residents also have the music blaring most of the day and into the night well past the quiet time hours. They put us on a lot that had not been mowed in quite some time because the grass was knee high.

Stay away from here.Trashy RV park, drunks, Loud music at all hours. Utvs and golf carts driving around at all hours. If u are looking for a quite clean rv this is not it. If you wanna party this is your place. Over priced. They don't care about your rig, when they mow they blast it with rocks and cuttings from the mower. Top 5 worst RV park, more of a trailer park tons of full timers staying there. AVOID IF YOU WANT PEACE.. GO IF U LIKE LOUD DRUNK PPL.

This campground is cheap but you get what you pay for, the mini golf course wasn't in good condition at all definitely not usable, pool was not open the 2nd week of may in 80° weather, the jump pillow was flat and not usable, the bathrooms and showers are very dirty like not just campground dirty but the ladies rooms trash was over flowing and there were sanitary wrappers all on the floor for multiple days in a row. With all that being said if you just need somewhere to sleep for a night this would be good because its cheap. Also not kid friendly, lots of drunk people being loud till 3am. Not what was advertised on the site at all.

Very run down. Trash scattered. Many amenities not there, not working, or run down. Golf carts/UTVs/ 4 wheelers everywhere with radios blaring. Kids driving carts. Playground areas run down with broken parts. Asked twice for someone to come verify sewer at site. No one ever came. Sewer was just a hole in the ground with a rock in the pipe. Sewer covered only with a piece of trash. No fire rings. Not a picnic table at every site but a counter high small table with no chairs. Very sad to see this so run down. Seems as if they cater to seasonal campers.

I had a very fun and exciting time at this campsite. My friend and I came from Chicago about 2 and 1/2 hours to tent camp. The first night we had a bonfire right next to our campsite, roasted some s’mores that we bought at the Office, the golf cart parade at night is loud but VERY VERY fun. Who doesn’t like to live a little?? :) The staff is super helpful and friendly especially Bri, Anna, and Dawn are the ladies that helped me at the front desk. Darwin, the owner, is a very nice young man too! I LOOOOOVE the jumping pillow and it was a great way to meet new friends (kiddos or adults lol) Highly recommend! Bring your own sunscreen and toilet paper though for the portos because it runs out fast. Can’t wait to go back!!!

If you like public drinking, cursing, and dust, and late night parades, this is the place for you. It's the complete opposite of any family-oriented campground that I have ever seen. The 2 stars are because the employee is nice.Restrooms: Ok.Dog-friendliness: Yes.

We camped in a tent. Our spot was right next to a cabin and there were RV spots across the road. The spots are very close together. There is no fire ring, just a bare spot on the ground which made cooking over a fire hard. The bathrooms near the pool were very dirty, so much that we did not want to shower. The urinal had a broken handle, so the whole place reeked of stale urine. In the women's there were several dirty razors on the ground that we not cleaned up all weekend. The sanitary dispensers were overflowed and reeking. The whole day we saw drunk people driving golf carts around, much faster than the posted 5 mph speed limit. We saw very young children (10 or younger driving golf carts and 4-wheelers alone. The pool was nice, but chilly, but there was no parental supervision. I saw young children (3 y/o) with water wings in the pool with no parent near them, but rather sitting on the side. The no smoking signs at the pool were ignored. The mini golf looked like it hadn't been maintained for several years. The playground could use maintenance as well. The kicker was the golf cart parade at 10 pm. People drive their carts around with bright lights and loud music. They can be heard all over. This is not a 'family-friendly' place. Most of the campers are long-term campers, not just there for the weekend. If you want a place to hang out and get plastered, this might be the place for you; but if you want a quiet place to chill with your kids, look elsewhere.

We have been here for 4 days & it has really gone downhill. Been swimming 3 times a day everyday, & cant believe how people ignore the rules & security turns his head. Adults with coolers openly drinking alcohol, cusing, smoking, ruff housing & bringing dogs into the pool area. One lady was so drunk that she almost fell into the deep end. Security walks thru with closed eyes.Speed limit is a joke, & kids way under the required age driving golf carts racing.Management is very courteous but sites are small & unlevel. We have camped here for years & always enjoyed it. Not so much anymore. This will be our last camping trip here.

My family and I had a blast this past Memorial weekend. Everyone is super friendly! The campsite was awesome. Not sure what is up with some of the reviews that said this isn’t a family friendly place,my family all had a blast! It did get a little loud with the golf cart cruise, but so what, they were having fun; It was quiet by 10:30. See you all again on the 4th of July!
