It's a Walmart. It isn't the worst one, but it isn't the best one either. If you go towards the evening or night, be prepared to walk way out of your way to get to anything since they completely block the middle aisles with stocking products. Self-checkout is typically your only valid option since there's usually only one or two people working checkout, I don't mind doing self-checkout, but it can be frustrating waiting for the attendee to get to you if there's anything that needs age verification or if the camera thinks you bagged something wrong. The employees here have always been pretty nice, I think most of the issues stem from an upper management/corporate level.

This Illinois location was like the rest of the Walmart locations, they have just about everything you need and things you didn't know you needed. And typical of Walmart locations, the biggest difference is the sport section, so this one has Cardinal Baseball merch as well as STL Battlehawks.

This Walmart is convenient for me to shop at. It's close prices are exceptable and is convenient. I buy my cat supplies there because the prices are not out rageous and the toys are quality worthy.

Some of the absolute rudest employees I have ever encountered. When they have their carts to stock shelves, they will basically push their cart into you to get to where they need to go. Tonight, I was looking at cheese and an employee shoved herself between me and the display to look for something. The cashier was even worse. I said hello and he just gave me a blank stare. Halfway through the transaction, he sneezed into his hand and then grabbed more items. He kept wiping his nose with his hand the whole time. I ended up using Walmart pay and when it went through, he didn’t confirm or say goodbye. He just started grabbing items from the next customer. I just stood there until he looked at me confused. I asked if I was done, and he said, “yeah?”Maybe you should hire new management, because me they obviously don’t care about customer service anymore.

Aisles are generally full of pallets. I don't see why the staff re stocks during hours of operation. Good luck finding a staff member to answer any questions. Place really sucks since covid

I found a display of Gatorade fast twitch on rollback for 1.94. they rang up for 2.18. I was told the rollback was over and they could only price match on one. That is against the law to post one price and charge another.

This location is absolutely terrible ..waited in electronics for 40 mins and still never got help... Also waited in sporting goods got the Flashlight but couldn't get the knife no one with a key around and not to mention they took out their jewelry counter I've had a few issues with this store. Goto Wood River or Edwardsville Hell Granite CITY not GODFREY

When I was there I was shown courtesy and detailed help trying to find what I was looking for. The pharmacy team was extremely knowledgeable and clear about knowing what you need and how to properly take the medicine.

I love this store just some of their employees could have better customer service. When a customer is standing on front of you with a question and the 2 employees would rather chat in your face and ignore you it makes for a bad experience.

I hate WoodRiver, Illinois Walmart! The employees r taught that every customer steals an their security ppl r bogus, they had me arrested on my baby daughters 1st birthday trying to say I didn't ring up most of my items when I did. I paid in link $120 an I paid another $160 in cash that's $280 an they took me to jail so her 🎂 was wasted her 🍨 melted an by time I got out all the food was rotten an they wouldn't take it back so I don't suggest this Walmart to NO ONE PERIOD

Love my DeSoto Walmart however the Godfrey location...the customer service women,evening workers, basically called me a thief on a return with the receipt and the box unopened packing straps still intact so very rude and was talking about me right in front of me. Spoke with the front store manager and she basically made excuses for the two. She also called at least 8 different employees to remove the new spider security tag off my $488 smart tv along with $500 plus in other items purchased that day.

Wall mart super center has all my needs. from food,to clothing and even gasoline! . If you prepay for gasoline and put the cash on a Walmart card you get discounted price on your gasoline. Save the card with a few bucks on it and it can be used in the store for purchases, or toss it in your glove box for your next fill up. They also make great gifts!.

Walmart in Collinsville has a better selection than Walmart in Glen Carbon, and the Wood River Walmart customer service was excellent in the jewelry department...

Couldn't find things that I wanted NO beef broth of any kind on the shelves. All they had was chicken broth. Finally, I found 2 jars of beef gravy - way in the back of the shelf. The 3 out front had something running down the side of the jar or label ripped off. Walmart "shoppers" for customers who called in orders about ran you over with their carts - didn't say excuse me or even sorry . If I hadn't needed the cheap gas out front, I would have gone to Jerseyville or Carlinville where the Walmart workers are a LOT NICER and don't try and hit you with carts!

Ridiculously managed. 2 checkers working in the whole store, but tons of employees hanging out chatting with each other in pairs, some hiding out in random aisles and some walking laps around the store ignoring customers and just talking with each other. It's comical.

It was good to get away from the apartment for the afternoon, I got to hang out with Brian for a couple hours, got some jeans, chill dogs and some Tater Tots. It wasn't busy, so that was a plus. I've only been there a few times and the place is clean, shelves are stocked and the employees are friendly. Right on

I had a baby 1.5 months ago.. none of my clothes fit. Ny husband works through the week sobibor finally got time to try on some pants. I waited 15min for someone to unlock the fitting room. Had several people page. My husband walked around and no one came. The only fitting room was locked. After all the emotions I said forget it let's go. Went to go pay for the rest of my stuff, things aren't ringing up right so they get someone to get another bag of apples.. sat there for another 10 MINUTES! we left.. this store is a joke and I'll never go back.

I love the Godfrey store. The prices are good, they have a very good selection of items & the employees are friendly, knowledgeable & helpful.I have mobility issues. My girl went in for a motorized cart for me. An employee brought one across the store & saw me coming from my car to the store with a cane. The employee brought it out to me, she said she didn't want me to have to walk that far. I don't think she's required to do that. It's just one of the "extra" things that their employees do. It's a great place to shop, they appreciate their customers.
