To be honest all the bad reviews had me worried that I my prescription wouldn’t be ready. When I headed in I saw there were only two people working at the pharmacy one was at the drive thru and the other was refilling prescriptions and they did their best to attend to everyone as quickly and easily as possible.Despite being understaffed I got my prescription without any issues.Thank you to those pharmacists who are doing their best.

For the past year or so service has really gone down. It took 25 minutes in the drive thru tonight - I'm shocked if I'm out of line in under 15 minutes. The pharmacy is seriously understaffed - please hire more techs!

Wish I could give 0. I am in the waiting line right now. I know I’ll be here for a good half hour just to get a script. If you call you’ll likely wait a good 15min then magically you get disconnected. No joke this is the worst pharmacy I’ve ever experienced. For the drive thru you’ll probably get excited when you finally get to the window. Be prepared to wait 10min just at the window before getting any service. Might as well plan a day to get script here.Ok - so for fun I jumped out of the car pool line and ran into the store. Same deal - the line was insanely long. I got excited yet again to see my wife pull up but thought I might have a chance to get the scripts first. She actually got them before me. I wasn’t holding up the line by the way - I left promptly and wised everyone well.My total time to get 2 Rxs was 25min at the drive thru. Amazing!I

I don't normally give bad reviews but when I do it's to this pharmacy. My Insulin refill was canceled for no reason and then I had to reorder to find out they are out of stock 3 days later after being promised to have it no later then Monday. No notice of any kind and when I called in to voice my concern, it was basically too bad so sad. Who needs Insulin to survive anyways?🤷

It's understandable to have long wait times being short staffed, but it's absolutely unacceptable to keep people on hold for twenty minutes and then just disconnect. Try having some compassion and empathy. The phone was picked up and placed on mute then disconnected two minutes later. A simple can you please hold and not hangup on someone is all you needed to do.

Second day calling as I was on hold for over 10 minutes yesterday for nobody to answer and continue placing you on hold until In continues to ring and magically disconnects.Called today and never a live human they are awful!

The worst Walgreens when it comes to pharmacy! Had a script from noon, came at 6pm and it wasn’t ready! Told me to pick up tomorrow like it’s no big deal when I’m going on vacation the next morning! I said I cannot and need it before my vacation. The pharmacist said he’s 60 prescriptions behind 🤦🏼♀️ maybe they should hire more people? Or hurry up! I had to wait a full hour!Forget about calling! Was on hold for an hour. Lady in line said same thing! Wasn’t happy either with Walgreens. Was waiting in line for 30 minutes easily (in the store) before even getting to speak to the pharmacy tech at the register.This is a disaster! Not pleasant either. Go to a different chain; that’s what I’ll be doing!

Writing this from my car at the Walgreens drive through. This might be the slowest pharmacy in existence. I’ve now been in the “quick” drive through pickup line for almost 60 minutes. Only one more car to go. The last one took 10 minutes, the person in front of me has been sitting at the window for at least 5.

Horrible service. Not truthful with customers on status of prescription. Enjoys watching customers who are frustrated and provokes them. Does not care about a human, would rather see them dead. Asst. Manager of store said to post on social media, they don’t care.

I’m going to be reporting this Walgreens. I called two days ago and was told they had my prescription in stock and they would fill it, followed up the next day still not filled, so I wait. Can’t get thru on the phone so I had to drive all the way to the Walgreens yesterday. I came an hour or so before close and they still didn’t have it!! The lead pharmacist said give him 20 minutes, at this point it’s 6:30. I came back in at 6:50 and he says it’s not going to be ready u til tomorrow now and then claimed he never said to wait 20 minutes and if I didn’t get a text it wasn’t ready. I’ve been SO patient for this. I have not had this medication for at least two months because of back orders. I finally get my doctor to transfer it to a Walgreens that has my prescription in stock and they’re screwing me over. I should NEVER have to wait three days for a prescription that’s in stock and I’ve called multiple times for. The pharmacist here needs to be fired! I will 100% will be reporting this Walgreens. This is unacceptable.

Update from previous review.When you drop off a prescription that needs a pharmacist review they should tell you they have NO PHARMACIST on site because he is at a conference. At least then you have an opportunity to take somewhere else. 3 hours later I called back to find out pharmacist is still not there and not idea when my script will be ready.I just got out of the hospital from having surgeryThis is unprofessionalWhen you complain they make it sound like EVERYONE else is the problem. I know because I mentioned their bad reviews. The blonde lady said, “some people are just never happy”!Seriously, look back a few years. This place has horrible reviews for a few years.

Stay away!!! This Walgreens is the worst for filling prescriptions. Been waiting for a week and still medicine is not ready for my mom. Try calling and they don't answer. Also there customer service is very rude! When you call them they hang up after you have waited so long for someone to answer. Go down there and wait an hour and they tell you it's not ready you have to wait. After you waited a week. I am sorry a week is long enough.

If I could give this Walgreens a zero I really would !! My prescription was ordered to this Walgreens on army trail and glen ellyn on Tuesday the 13 I’m at the drive thru dec 21 and it’s still not ready! No phone calls no email no notice warning or telling me how they don’t have my prescription ready !! They close the drive thru at 7 the other day the man in the pharmacy had closed at 6:30… my medication is important to me! This is the most unprofessional Walgreens pharmacy I have ever been too! Do urself a favor go to carol stream pharmacy a few min down !! And they are open 24/7!!

My normal Walgreens off Schmale had computer issues and wasn’t allowing appointments for my covid booster so I took the chance to make it at this one, even after so many bad experiences here already. Made the appointment, got confirmation, got a reminder and confirmation day of appointment. Show up for appointment & the lady behind the counter says “Do you need something?” I say yes I’m here for my appointment, she then rudely says what appointment we have no appointments. I showed her my phone with confirmation & reminder confirmation, she said oh well we don’t even have the covid booster at this location it never showed up. I said I specifically chose that when making the appointment because it said it was available there. She then said nope try somewhere else, I said okay are you able to tell me somewhere else that has it? She said nope call the 800#. There’s a reason 99% of Glendale heights goes to surrounding towns Walgreens. Service is trash every single time. Won’t be returning.

I had pneumonia and need to pick up the medication here. I came in the staff told me they arent ready they are backed up. I left. Unbelievable. They said they would call me when my medication is ready. They never did. I called to check if my medication was ready it was. The staff is very rude. Do yourself a favor and go to another place

This is the worst Walgreens I have ever dealt with. They have tried to give me generic several times when it is noted on my account not to. It takes for ever to pick up prescriptions and trying to reach them via phone is horrible. Lately they are sending approval request to a doctor I have not seen in over 2 years. I have a current doctor that orders my prescriptions.

The pharmacy needs to hire more staff. We were supposed to have an ASAP pick up per our doctor and had to wait for over 2 hours for our medicine to be ready for pick up. When I arrived it was still not ready. We were about to go to ER as a result of this.

This Walgreens location, Pharmacy in particular, has a habit of placing you on hold and then hanging up on you! There is also little accountability, and the situation never gets resolved! I will be filling my prescriptions at CVS from now on!

Pharmacy staff (with the exception of one Asian pharmacy tech) here are lazy, mediocre at its best and no customer service skills at all. Wait times are ridiculous. No call backs for updates. Will put you on hold then disconnect your call. I have unfortunately experienced them all! Just thinking about picking up my family's prescriptions here make my blood boil because I have to deal with incompetent people. I have talked to the Manager a couple times...still the same. Needless to say, I've had it with these people and I'm switching to another location even though it's farther.

The older lady at the checkout always has an attitude and rolling her eyes, doesn’t like when you put in the Walgreens rewards number and use coupons, always tells me I don’t have any, she’s so rude and hates to check out a customer. The manager, I think his name js John, is so unfriendly, lazy, not informative and doesn’t like to help guests at all. Bad customer service, the store is always empty, unorganized, dirty and not put together. I tried multiple times to over look things because it’s my neighborhood Walgreens but no more, I’m done going there.

Once again this Walgreens screws up a refill for a much needed prescription. My mother will be out of her daily pill again because this location and it’s mediocre staff can get it together. Waited over 15 minutes before My call was answered, just to tell me the prescription could not be done until Doctor approval. After their own text message reminder had indicated a refill would be processed. I am very dissatisfied and Angry. Their customer service is the worst. Wish we can move our prescription to CVS but because of their MAfia deals with the insurance Conpanies it’s just not possible. You need to re-staff and Do things right Walgreens on Glen Ellyn Road or else you are exposing yourself to a law suit.

Very rude & arrogant pharmacy staff. I'm switching to mail order pharmacy because of all this rudeness I'm dealing with will come to an end. Pharmacy Staff need extensive training on customer service skills and how to treat people with respect. Everytime I go here my blood boils and makes me mad and irritable dealing with arrogant and rude staff.

Illiterate Pharmacist. She doesn't understands the quantities prescribed by the Dr office even after Nurse explained to her over the call multiple times. Never seen such a illiterate pharmacist anywhere in US.

While the techs and pharmacist are always polite, this pharmacy is severely understaffed. I don’t bother going to the drive thru to pick up because I’ve waited twice for 20 minutes plus. There is always a wait inside the store. I’ve called to had a rx refill-and didn’t have the number to use the auto process, after being on hold for 8 minutes with no answer I was disconnected. Twice! It must just give up ringing at that point. It takes at least a day to Rx’s refilled they don’t do same day. I’ve also had a couple medications “not in stock” and take several days to get in. They don’t get medication delivered on the weekends and won’t transfer from another store, so if you get a rx called in on a Thursday or Friday and they don’t have it, it will take until Monday or Tuesday.

The drive through pharmacy takes FOREVER! Be ready to sit here for 30 minutes at the very least, every single time. Not only that, but if one of your meds isn't ready or can't be filled, nobody calls. You find out when you get there. It's just getting worse and worse here. Might have to switch to CVS.

Please have your staff wear their masks appropriately. They wear a mask covering the mouth and not their nose. One staff member took hers off and was speaking up close to customers while checking them out. Be safe.

Arrived to this Walgreen late at night and it was still open. They have plenty of parking and a Redbox outside the store. As for the store, it is clean and organized, they offer plenty of items from ice cream to Halloween decorations. Did not get anyone to offer their assistance but I manage to get what I wanted and more.
