Stopped in Jewel tonight & went through the self checkout. Employee by the name of Nancy long gray hair not so pretty on the outside either was very rude. Very unhelpful.. If your frustrated w the duties of the job find a job that suites you. Your behavior was insane ..another customer even whispered to me she’s out of control. Def will be avoiding this place to shop to save myself the headache for sure

On Halloween I stopped by Jewel to try and get a red balloon for my costume. I work second shift so I got off at 8pm. I had no idea that's when the florist also gets off and must've walked in as she walked out. I went looking around the store to ask if someone could help me, I found 3 workers by customer service and asked for help, the women I asked was very stern and angry and said "Well maybe you should've gotten here earlier and before she left. I can't help you." I thanked her regardless and walked away. She then went back to standing by customer service with 2 teenage workers who were both on their phones. That interaction rubbed me the wrong way. I was not rude and just asked a question. Noted to not ask any questions or interact with workers again. I'll just use self checkout. Since my presence is so bothersome. Not everyone works at 9 to 5. I work in a warehouse. I get jobs can be rough sometimes. Be more kind.

I hardly shop at Jewel-Osco but this place seem very clean and it has a lot of choice produce. I think the location great and I would start coming to shop here.

I am pregnant, so choosing not to go while grocery shopping is not an option. I have never seen a bathroom so consistently as disgusting as these. Always someone else’s waste on the seat, graffiti on the walls and ceiling, stinks like you can’t imagine… and it’s always like this. Every time of day, every day of the week.

This has to do with the public bathroom, there was excrement on the walls. The door didn't work correctly. No where to hang your coat. The smell of urine was over powering and you couldnt breath and no paper. I thought I was going to catch something there. Just looked like a bathroom from a gas station in the middle of no where.

I probably would have given 4 stars, but the fried chicken brought the rating down. I was there just after 7 pm on Saturday, which is after the deli counter was being cleaned. I took an 8-piece bag from the grab and go area. I assume that it hadn't been sitting there for too long, but the problem is, they pack it in a plastic bag that's pretty well sealed. That makes the chicken crust soft from being steamed. To make things worse, I don't think it was cooked long enough to begin with. The base of the crust had a slight flour feel to it. It was just blah and the worst fried chicken that I've had anywhere in a long time.

Very clean and seemed well stocked. Too many errors at self checkout we had 3 errors that. Needed assistance and we weren't the only one. All checkouts were open and half of them had blinking lights that needed assistance. Poor girl was running crazy helping everyone. Didn't have to wait long for help and still got out in a timely manner.

I always forget why I don't shop here until I meet the employees. No one I have ever dealt with in the store gives me a positive attitude. the store seems well stocked if that is what you look for in a store. Aisles are narrower than I prefer. There are handicap parking spaces but you will still need to cross traffic to get in the store. Graded access by the doorways. Several entrances available into and out of the mall.All the old women tell me this is the best place to shop, they have the best sales. I don't think so. I shop at many stores and the jewel does not have the best prices!

Update: Jewel thank you for the sugar free goodies in the bakery. I never see anywhere else in bakeries at other stores. But i can always count on something here. Update: Well, there is life on Jewel besides the check out. (Check out agent always nice). Deli has life. Before no matter what jewel i went to you are ignored at the deli. I am now greeted, ty Jewel for listening.

I like buying filet mignon for $6.00 each when on sale, and original potato salad is decent, and honey wings, and last soda bread with sugar on top you could ask the Baker a day ahead to make it for you.

This is my local Jewel, and it's pretty standard. That said, standard as compared to other local chains that have kinda gone downhill, Jewel is still dependable and consistent. This location is also open 24hrs, which is a bonus.

Wonderful store! The place is always clean, well-stocked, and well-organized and convenient.Employees are easy to find throughout the store, which makes it easier when you need to ask them a question about something. The staff here works miracles by juggling the needs of both tourist and local consumers while also maintaining a safe and stocked store in a neighborhood that sometimes presents challenges. Good selection, fresh produce, good wine & beer! Also the nicest employees in town! it was not crowded plenty of wipes and hand sanitizer when you walk in and all the employees here are so nice and helpful they greet you when you walk in and tell you to have a nice day as you walk out makes your grocery shopping a nice experience here

The worst Jewel in my neighborhood. Cashiers are inefficient or rude or both. Go to Amazon Fresh on Army Trail Rd in Bloomingdale, or the Jewel in Carol Stream (County Farm Road and Army Trail Road), or the Jewel in Wheaton (Main at Geneva).

Usually understaffed and most workers you ask for help don't know where to find anything. I also had my email up but couldn't log into my account to use the coupons mailed to me. The email clearly showed I had earned a $10 reward so I went to customer service. They refused to honor the coupon on the email saying I hadn't clipped it to the app. When I explained I was having trouble with the log on the store manager said too bad that is the way it is. I have worked retail in the past -- the store manager could have offerred a store credit. I just spent almost $200 there for Christmas Dinner. Won't be going back any time soon.

Went there to get the burgers on sale, there were none and the meat counter was closed before 5:30, prime shopping time. Brought a smaller pack up to the service desk to see if they will substitute. The product was half the size and still customer service said absolutely not, rain check only. They looked like they didn't even want to try to help, like I was an inconvenience and not a paying customer. Will never shop there again. The isles are way to narrow as well.

Horrible experience at the Seafood counter. I did not get his name but he was this big old white dude with glasses and he was incredibly rude. It was definitely racially motivated because he did not have that nasty attitude while serving his white customers. He packed up the catfish quickly without giving me a chance to tell him I want it cut and when I respectfully asked him to cut it, he threw a fit and chucked the whole fish on the counter which then fell in the trash! I will be calling corporate on him because this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Simply disgusting.

I am not a jewel shopper. I prefer aldi.. this jewel was very clean and well stocked and had ample staffing. The prices seem high to me, very high as compared to aldi. Even the buy one get ones are priced so high you are really paying for both. However the seniors prefer "the jewel" and I was taking the seniors grocery shopping... I think they feel loyal and safe with "the jewel".

Pretty good selection here and the prices are usually decent, especially with sales. Their Jewel membership thing gets you a lot of pretty great rewards and specialty coupons that you can even use on their website. They are, however, pretty constantly out of stock on Coke Zero and Coke Zero Cherry.

This Jewel has the greatest staff of any grocery store i’ve ever been to! My wife and i love them!Just now, one woman came behind the deli to walk me across half the store to show me where something was.THEN, i dropped 2 things of berries and a giant bag of chips & multiple workers came over to me & practically acted like it was their fault.I’m just so impressed — whoever runs this store is doing an amazing job. They all seem so happy — so my wife and i now drive out of our way to get here.Honestly, if there’s a way to leave a review to the higher ups at jewel, i would like to know how to do that.Thank you, jewel workers!! You bring a smile to our faces & we somehow don’t mind spending a lot of money for groceries!!

I stopped there today at 7 am and asked for a tedious meat order at the butcher counter. The gentleman that helped me was more than patient, very courteous and took care of my order with a smile. Everyone I interact with at this Jewel always provides top quality customer service ! 5 stars !

Jewel-Osco is, well, a grocery store and pharmacy. Nothing surprising with that.Jewel - overall the various packaged products are in good supply and there is also a good selection. Fresh produce, meats, bakery, and deli are better than other grocery stores, including the big box type.Osco - the pharmacy has good people behind the counter. Always ready to help or answer questions.
