Love Fur Dogs truly stands out as a fantastic grooming spot. The cleanliness of the place and the incredible friendliness of the staff immediately caught my attention. The level of detail they seek for the perfect cut - whether it’s round ears, the length around the mouth, or the right size for the legs and upper head - was something new and impressive to me. Initially, I wasn’t sure about the specifics of the grooming I wanted, but their team was incredibly supportive in helping me decide. After a few hours, when I came back to pick up my dogs, they not only smelled wonderful but also looked better than ever. I’m thoroughly impressed and plan to be a loyal customer from here on out. Truly the best grooming experience!

The owner doesn’t take care of animals in a human way. They had us schedule our appointment two months in advance. Then dropped off our dog, waited 5 hours for them to call us back explaining they had been working on her all day. We felt it was odd. They were asking for a substantial increase in the price given the difficulty. We live right down the road so decided to stop over and check on her and they hadn’t even started on her. Overall it felt very crooked and fraudulent. I’d recommend considering more human places to have your dog cared for here.

If you are at all similar to our family your pet truly is an extension of your family. Our Hamilton, a pure-bred Siberian Forest cat, is full of fur. Three coats specifically, the guard hair, awn hair and down hair.Lover Fur Dogs and specifically owner Jennifer is truly gifted when handling Hamilton. I typically stay with Hammy to ease his anxiety but from the moment he enters the bath, is carefully dried and groomed he shows a rare good grace in being cleaned up.Our family has a standing appointment with Love Fur Dogs every two months to keep our fur baby free of mats, his nails trimmed and coat thinned out. Jennifer is a great leader for her staff...I know leaders from 25 years service as a US Navy Master Chief and four-time combat veteran.I watch from the moment that I arrive as dozens of dogs come through for Doggie Day care or grooming. Jennifer seems to know each pet AND owner by name. If you get to know Jennifer you'll find that she is a (if not the) preeminent expert in the field of pet grooming and is a sought after National speaker.Give Love Fur Dogs a chance to love your dog, and yes...CATS.You won't be disappointed.

How could they have had her there for 5 hours AFTER HER APPT time and done nothing?!? Is what you’ll be saying after a visit here! The groomer called me 5 hours after her appointment to tell me our mini poodle would either need to be shaved or we’d have to be charged significantly for a de-matting. The thought of how she could be calling me 5 hours after my dogs appointment was appalling. With the holiday upon us I speculated they were running far behind schedule and unwilling take the time my dog needed to give her a brushing. I offered to pick her up immediately as the thought of her likely caged up in the back of the shop all day sounded sad and cruel to me. Upon arrival I was shocked to see my poor pup wet, unbrushed and shivering with the grooming pretending to work on her. She didn’t even smell as though she had been washed down with anything but water! The kicker of all this is the shop knew we wanted to keep our poodle’s hair long. We set appointments on a scheduled interval in order for this to work. When we dropped her the groomer assessed our dogs hair and said she was good for the wash & brush out. Love fur dogs should in fact be called no love fur dogs because all they want to do is quickly shave your pup & move onto the next in line. If you value your dogs locks this is not the groomer for you. Leaving your loved one caged up all day waiting for this grand shaving sounds like cruelty to me. We will not be back ever!

Love Fur Dogs is by far the best grooming salon that we have ever gone to in all of our years of having dogs. Bella, our Bedlington terrier, is a beauty queen (!) after Jennifer does her magic with her. Every dog that walks out of the salon looks like they are ready for the runway! I highly recommend Luv Fur Dogs...staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I’m so grateful that we found them!

Look no further! I wouldn't go to another groomer thats for sure. This salon is nothing short of Amazing Im always treated with professionalism and kindess. they deliver consistent service and my dog always looks absolutely adorable when I pick him up. The best part is he’s never stressed or anxious like he used to be at my ex groomers. I know that When I drop my furbaby off hes treated with love and respect and that so matters to us! If I could give Love Fur Dogs more stars I would 💓. Yesterday I took my Great Pyrenees in for a much needed and overdo grooming. Sadly he lost his last groomer and became unmanageable, so I was informed. During his bath time by Maya who did a great job, he had an anxiety attack and Erik (one of his new groomers) immediately gave Teddie something to calm him, CBD to the rescue ! From there Ken and Kevin did an amazing job of drying Teddie out. They were incredibly gentle and patient which I couldn't appreciate more. They handled him so lovingly that I was moved. Then Erik and Senaida gave him a beautiful and perfect cut during which time he fell asleep on their table ~ talk about trust ! Lastly, Melissa the manager was very attentive, understanding of my concerns and especially accommodating ! I have so much respect for the staff at Love Fur Dogs and their hard work ~ Well done !Highly recommend ❤

I am very particular about grooming for my little guy and I did so much research to find Jennifer at Love Fur Dogs. Even though I was already confident it would be a great experience, I was floored by how good of a job Jennifer and Co did, just wow! Stunning work!! They are meticulous and make every effort to make your dog as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend the micro beading technology they use as well, it’s like a spa day for your pup. Easily my favorite groomer in the Chicagoland area, I would give 10 stars if it were possible!

I took my Golden-doodle, Paul there for the first time this week. This by far is the best groomer I have ever seen, hands down. Talk about a team of people that really care about the dog and the happiness of the owner. I can honestly say that our dog was happy to be there. I drove 45 minutes each way and will continue to use them without a doubt.

The team at Love Fur Dogs solved a major problem for me. My dog is aggressive toward groomers and it was interfering with our need to properly care for him. Immediately upon arrival at Love Fur Dogs, I was impressed by the owner's genuine desire to learn about Dexter and come up with a plan. They accomplished the impossible through their care and personal attention to the unique needs of every dog.

Family owned and amazingly professional, these guys are the best groomers in the area. They've groomed champion dogs and have one of the only microbubble machines in the region. Great for a good relaxing deep clean that will leave your dog feeling like a champion too!

Love Fur Dogs is amazing. They do a fantastic job grooming all of our family’s labradoodles and goldendoodles, as well as my dad’s hunting dog (a purebred lab). The owner is a certified master groomer, and her expertise always shows in our dogs’ cuts.One of the things I like best about Love Fur Dogs is their microbubble treatment. We have used this when the dogs have had fungal infections on their skin (to lift and float the fungal growth off the skin with the tiny bubbles that can get under the skin). But the most important use for the microbubble treatment (in my opinion) is de-skunking. Because skunk spray is an oil, it’s extremely hard to wash out (soap doesn’t work and neither does tomato juice), but the microbubble treatment floats it off the skin and out of the coat so that after the grooming, the skunk scent is completely gone. I’m telling you, it’s miraculous!In addition, the owner is very knowledgeable about canine nutrition. She keeps up with the latest scientific information in relevant scholarly journals and was able to advise me on what to feed my goldendoodle when she was demonstrating allergy symptoms in response to her old food. In addition to offering evidence-based nutrition advice, Love Fur Dogs supplies a number of excellent, high-quality dog foods.

I get the "Maizie cut" for my goldendoodle. Like a short cut airedale, but without the beard, while keeping her doodle tail long. Jennifer and staff give Maizie the exact cut we like for her, minimal maintenance. Wonderful attentive daycare, too. Love Fur Dogs is the best!!

I bought my bichon frise, Gabby, the #releaf cbd oil for her anxiety. A little goes a long way and it helped her live happier. Loud noises and thunderstorms used to scare her where she started panting and shaking. Now we give her a drop of the cbd oil, and shes able to be comfortable in our home. It makes me so happy that she isn't anxious about that anymore. I highly recommend using this brand, as it is a family owned organic brand, for dogs of all sizes and kinds who have anxiety.

They groom cats as well as dogs, but I was frankly disappointed with the job they did on my cat. They did a poor lion cut.They replied to my review in a less than honest fashion. THEY DID a lion cut 3 times now. The first one was okay, the second not as good and the last one was so bad that I would never go back there. Also, they did NOT suggest a trip to the vet (another lie) but did suggest a bath treatment ( they could do) to treat her dryer skin. But out and out lying on a review is a bit surprising and disappointing. I will never be back there now for sure

They were the very first people willing to do a scissor cut for my standard poodle without complaining. His haircut is spectacular and I have gotten more compliments on it. Even though it's a 45 minute drive from my home I will be back.
