Wow what a great improvement they did on the store less than one week open. I can see they are still remodeling so cant wait to see what more they do to the store since it was a little outdated. The prices are the same low and affordable. I talked to the new Owners they seen very nice and welling to listen to my ideas and wants especially new product. keep up the great work! excited to shop here soon!

Amazed by all of the work that is being done to this store. I even met the owner Frank himself because he is always in there working and he is the nicest guy! The meat and produce are so fresh, and the store looks so much more clean and put together. No change in prices either which is impressive with how much work they are doing in improvements. He has done so much already and you can just tell how much he cares about the community and providing good quality products and services. So happy for this change and cant wait to continue shopping here.

I stopped by this store yesterday and I was very impressed with all the improvements they are making. They have a fantastic meat department. I picked up one of their beautiful steaks and had it for dinner tonight. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! This store is going to be a great addition to the Genoa area.

I love this store! The new owners are so welcoming and have made so many improvements already. I can’t wait to see what else they do. I notice a huge difference in the freshness of the produce and meat. So happy to have them here.

I am so happy to have a new owner at this store. Since being here just two weeks Frank has already made so many improvements and I cant wait to see the finished product. This is an owner that really cares about the quality of his store and we are so happy to have him in Genoa!

Same great hardworking neighbors working there but now country of Chicago prices. Hope they figure that out and come down. Not happy. Walmart is 3 minutes further, along with other stores to be able to pick from. I want to keep my money in town but....

Inventory is highly limited and extremely overpriced. I bought 3 containers of goat cheese crumbles day before yesterday (12/29) and got home, then realized they all expired on 11/24/2023. And they were almost double what even jewel would have charged for them. Staff is very nice though. Nothing against them. This chain in general is just overpriced with very few options. I just had no other options in the moment or I wouldn't have come here.

Be careful with meat it is expired, i hot the pork meat,and packaged chorizo it was spoiled and was green like molding… workers are very cool but do not like new meat market wont be going here anymore

Been shopping at this store for many yrs..not any more..ran into 2 employees that basically refused to help me find a product..b4 this i was ok paying more for the convenience of location..i will now drive the 7 min to jewel

I am giving this store 3 stars only because the employees are and have been the best throughout the years: helpful, knowledgeable, hard working and always friendly.Ole Frank can’t be from around here as raising prices to the point where Jewel is a better alternative does not make good business sense. Frank underestimated our community and failed to understand that we will absolutely travel to get good prices.I walked out today when the same roast I bought last week for $13.88 had a price tag of $36. Same Angus Beef, same weight . Another example- same ground meat jumped from $7 to over $9 in a week.Frank better reevaluate his prices or Jewel, HyVee, Meijer, and Walmart will thank him for additional business

I used tonlove shopping here. Nice people but lately the never have the items on sale. They will have the signs up and items 2x priced under the sign and no empty spot where the sale item was. Feels alot like bait and switch. They dont offer rain checks and they tell you to come back in a daybor 2 when they will get more. I am here the day the sale starys or the 2nd day and you are constantly out of all the good sale items!!Look under the full display are shrimp for $7.99 under your $2.99 sign. Stuff like this all the time.

Decent selection of fruits and veggies. Usually clean but lately have been seeing flies on the produce. Prices are great for only the things in the ads, things that are not are more expensive than competitive stores.

pork is very bad quality. in 1 moth 3 times i have to return pork baby ribs ,normal ribs .and seasoned ribs because they smell very bad and they have good expiration date.

Frank's Freshway Market, formerly the Butera Market in Genoa is a good, well stocked store. Very good selection of meat at reasonable prices, good wine/beer/liquor department, as well as dairy, vegetables, and bakery. The meat products we bought here have all been great quality.

We'll, I drove out to Genoa from DeKalb to get some of their specials, as noted in their ad- like potato pancakes, arancini (Italian stuffed rice balls) + few others. This store doesn't carry either of these products... Bummer.They also had Volpi prosciutto on sale for $6.99 (good deal!) The deli team had no idea how to slice it. It was thrown in a pile of pieces then slipped in a deli ziplock bag. I had then stop slicing when I spotted it (should have declined it) And cut too thick-it was like chewing on beef jerky.(They may want to visit Hy-Vee for lessons- they do a beautiful job when slicing). I'm not planning on going there for awhile. Sorry.

I was able to find a number of items I can’t find anywhere else- crumpets!! My 2 biggest complaints are - walking in the front door and the first thing I see is a number of empty shelves, and secondly having the exit doors blocked by “stuff”. It was unsightly besides being a safety hazard.

We love shopping at Butera.I had a bit of an issue with a couple of employees at the Deli, but one of the management team (Red) handled and resolved the situation calmly and professionally.We need more people like Red working in Customer Service positions.Thanks again for your help Red!

While Butera's prices are around the same as every other grocery retailer it is close to home and we love supporting local. Most of the employees are nice... Terrell the meat guy is AWESOME!! My son loves saying hi to everyone!!

Butera is convenient and has great deals. However, today I was getting some cheese that showed a price of $4.99 a pound in the show case. After slicing the cheese it come up with the price being $5.99 a pound. I was told that the pricing was all done at the corporate office and they had no control over that. I understand it is something they have no control over but as a shopper, how do you know the price if it isn’t what it is marked at? I will be more careful shopping there from now on. I think this is in the same category as fraud.

Great place to buy meats. They cut it there and grind the beef there so there is no cross contamination of meats to worry about. Sale prices cannot be beat on their meats either! It is worth the extra driving time for us to shop there. They also have good variety of deli cheeses.

I do all my shopping at Butera in Genoa. Hands down the best pricing on meats and produce around. Great selection and always well stocked. Only store I know that has lamb all the time and not just Holidays.

The cashier tonight who is a middle aged lady put the baby soap in the same bag with the Shrimp! This does not even need training, just common sense! Did not notice it right until we got home cuz of my daughter trying to make me buy something for her.

Nice grocery store for a smaller community. Full inventory so I can get just about anything thing I need. $ perhaps a bit higher than mainline grocery stores but they would require a longer drive to visit.

Great prices and helpful, friendly staff. Great chicken and pork! Produce seems to go bad a little too fast, but ok if you don't store it long. Bakery doesn't have a big selection but the deli I has a great variety of cold cuts, cheese salads and more.
