Has good deals sometimes, things are kind of cramp for room. No room for disabled to shop if needed. Depends on your visit is there a staff member who is friendly. Most seem like they do not want to be there. The mood is not a welcoming atmosphere.

It didn't take long for the new store to get as trashy as the old. The aisles are a mess and there never seems to be enough help. Be warned: do not buy milk here. Twice I've bought milk within the Best By date and both times the milk was bad.

We enjoyed going to the Cortand Dollar General store just to try out a new place. Everything was very nice and orderly. Social distancing is in place. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The place offers convenience and good prices. However, I was in there today and the employee Isaac was incredibly impersonable. He refused to make eye contact, reluctantly tossed me my receipt, and was not engaging in any conversation. He clearly had an issue with me or his job. Train your employees to respect customers! I on 12/19 have decided to change my review to a one star. The manager instead of professionally responding on here chose to find me on Facebook and attack me personally for my review. I can't believe the disrespect that comes from employees at this location. Retail has hit a new all time low by tracking people down on social media!

Dollar General is a very convenient store. However, every time I’ve needed supplies for work from there, they never open the doors on time. This has happened multiple times. It has made me late for work and I didn’t even get what I needed. This seems pretty unprofessional. Hopefully they will start opening the doors on time.

Opening the new location is the best thing that could have happened to Genoa - the old one was crowded, ill-kept and oftentimes FILTHY.While there are a bit of growing pains that are evident in a new, larger store (when I was there, many aisles were blocked by product carts that made it impossible to walk through an aisle), it's light years better than what it used to be. And better yet - prices are actually LOWER than what they used to be.I recommend to pick up your essentials here - you'll save quite a bit more than what you used to when it was downtown. However, if you use a wheelchair or assistive mobility devices, it's not completely accessible due to the product carts blocking the way of most aisles.

Messy, disorganized, and lazy workers. Really needs a manager that takes pride in their work and provides a higher level of service to the people of Genoa. Very disheartening.

Management is horrible and its extremely dirty and never stocked well at all and employee are friendly when they know the customers the only two employees that work hard are alyssa and michelle. They make sure that the store is well stocked and clean and their customer service is awesome keep up the good work ladies

Dollar General is really one of my favourite places. I really like their prices and the selection of products, most of which are name brands, is terrific. Like saving money? Then you know where to go!

They have plenty of items for everyday necessities and for fun activities but some items are very hard to find and they didn't have all the cleaning items we needed and all we needed was a magic eraser.

Love the new location much more organized and cleaner then old location but there are never enough cashiers. When I got there a couple of days ago I counted 9 people in line waiting to check out with 1 cashier

Since I left back in 2016 when I ran the store for quite a while I was the manager everybody loved coming there. now every time I walk in there people are sad depressed and not even the employees want to talk to you it kind of makes me sad when I left all my employees left months later.

This place is so dirty outside , they stand out there and smoke and just throw their cigarettes down , there’s piles of them on the ground , CLEAN IT UP !!! I care where I live its embarrassing I’m not a hillbilly , turn the music down and worry about the customers and children that come in the with the language ur using . If you are unhappy with this job leave that’s a choice you have . But please clean it up thank you

Small and staff didn't know how to scan coupons. Made my transaction take forever. Accused me of using already used coupons and then got the scanner to work after a while.

It's a hot mess. Too much product in that building because it is crowded and tight. Employees don't straighten up. I go there as little as possible.

the store is DIRTY you can hardly get around in it and the staff is more interested in each other than there costumers. I will be driving to the new Kirkland location whenever possible.

It's always hit or miss when I have to shop here. I don't like to see the staff smoking right out by the entrance. Shouldn't there be an employee section away from the customers?
