They have a great selection including a huge fresh, ready to eat, assortment. They are still a boutique store and the prices confirm it. Great, unusual stuff and priced to match. We go there to get those items unavailable elsewhere.

Well… the store is nice. The look and feel just like a whole food market. This morning 10/15/2023 they have some issue with the computer function at all cash registers and unable to check out items. A dozen customers were waiting patiently in line 30+ minutes for them to fix the issue.I, in the other hand was in a hurry need to make it to my Sunday morning riding class an hour away and was about to be late… (and I end up missing the class)I thought if I just pay my items online for “store pick ups” then I can have them verify my payment and be gone. No, the old lady seems to be in charge of the store won’t let me pay from their store website online. She said it won’t be fare for other customers. I said that other customers can do the same thing and check out online if they wish… nobody is stopping them. Instead, she insists for us to waist our time and wait for them to fix the network issue. How was that fair to all customers that waisted their time because of her lack of creative problem solving skills? :/

I received an email in 1/6/24 stating that whole and half choice beef loins were on sale until 1/9/24 @8.99lb. I stopped in at noon on 1/7/24 and were told they did not have any. No rain check offered. They did say they had prime loins at regular price. Hey, there are two more days and you don't have any? Is this bait and switch or what?

I’ve been in the Fresh Market many many times. (I worked there years ago actually!) This year before thanksgiving, my whole family got Covid so we had to cancel our plans. I ran in to see if they had last minute fixins, and not only did they have plenty of everything, they moved the insane line of people through the store at a super fast pace. And everyone in every department was cheerful and helpful. We had a truly delicious Thanksgiving dinner that lasted a week with leftovers… which was great once I got Covid on Turkey Day!

On the website or the app look for the weekly sales and features. For us it’s the deals on meat, usually chicken, beef or pork that keep us coming back. Above average produce too. Odd stuff like purple cauliflower And exotic fruits can be found. The store is a bit of an upscale gourmet grocery.

I love Fresh Market! Being in a neighborhood nearby, it's so nice to have a grocery store in walking distance that has high quality produce and organic products. There are definitely items that are expensive compared to your run of the mill grocery store, but they have many products that are difficult to find elsewhere. If you catch their weekly deals especially, it's so worth it! Also their desserts are all to die for

They have great steaks and other meats for grilling. The quality is much better than some of the other grocery stores. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. The employees are nice, courteous and the cashiers are quick and very friendly. The store is clean and well organized. This store has top management because their employees treat you so much better. Thanks for your excellent service. I appreciated it.

So disappointed. Bought a premium beef filet for $30 today, when I unwrapped it to prepare it, I immediately noticed a “funny” smell. I gave Fresh Market the benefit of the doubt and cooked the steak. Unfortunately, it was so off putting we couldn’t eat it. There is no way the worker in the meat department could not have smelled this when he wrapped it for us. Dinner ruined. We will find an alternative grocer in Geneva.

Really good sales on beautiful items. Thursdays $5 for the big pizza and pecan coated fish. Amazing huge tomahawk steaks on sale on the weekends sometimes. Incredible cannolis and other baked goods and some are a good price. Very polite and very friendly people in the bakery and the meat department. Tons of fun apothecary candy. Wonderful store. Great location. So convenient and so hospitable and such a beautiful atmosphere.

I don’t like doing this but I feel like I have to, so I applied on line then got a call for an interview, I though the interview went great the manager said she would call me back and let me know if I got the job she said she really liked me and by background. So I waited three days no call no email no nothing , i called and asked for the manager that I spoke to , I was told she was off I said okay can I leave a note saying to call me back to let me know if i got the job . I never heard back no call no email no nothing. But then three weeks later someone from that same store called me to get a time and date for an interview I let the lady know that I just had went in for an interview not that long ago I told her who I spoke to and everything , she was like well am going to talk to the person who did the interview and see what happened as to why they didn’t call you or anything well the same thing happened again never heard from them again! At least let me know I didn’t get the job. I been calling and nothing this is so unprofessional thank you fresh market for waisting my time and never getting back to me.

We ordered 3 platters for a funeral meal: the sliced meat and cheeses; the vegetarian pinwheels; and the falafel pita tray.Very easy to order and schedule online. All 3 platters were exactly as described and pictured. Ready right on time when we picked up - and the deli person even carried them to the check out area for us.Everything was so fresh and delicious! We couldn't be more pleased with the quality and presentation of the food. More than one person at the dinner asked to know where we found these platters so freshly prepared and tasty!

Love shopping here. Adam and Dwight in the meat department, along with the others, are very accommodating and helpful. Sorry to see Gary, the Manager, retire as he was always on the floor helping and assisting. I'm sure the new manager is as well, but I haven't met yet. I usually buy the dinner meal deal for four every week ; such a bargain. We also have enjoyed different products the plan has introduced us to we otherwise never would have tried. Love the produce department. We find the meal kits very convenient and use them often. Pleased to see the selection of these has increased. A very pleasant, productive shopping experience.

I like this small store, because they have a good lineup of cheeses. The Adams Reserve Cheese, is my favorite, and it's really delicious. The sales people are friendly, and very helpful! They also have a great candy section. And at different times of the year, this store also sells gorgeous orchid plants.

I drove here to try some organic drinks I saw online and since its 40 minutes from me picked up some other stuff too. When I got home I noticed I was over charged for drinks and also frosting I bought was 45 days past its expiration date. Just extremely disappointed all around. I don't mind spending more for organic products, but more than advertised on shelf and expired. I will NOT be going back here. Luckily I can get same drinks directly from manufacturer for less and fresher as well. I do NOT recommend.

Love this store. It's not an everyday grocery store , but for me it's like going on a field trip. I could spend a good hour everytime I go there. So many interesting unique things besides some hard to find foods. They have cards, candy, flowers, candles, wonderful coffee and bulk items. Bakery is small but tasty.Great deli and olive bar. It's beautifully decorated with soft lighting. Though it is pretty pricey.

Please speak to your employees about good manners. Simple things like hello or thank you really make a difference in the shoppers experience. The cashier literally said nothing at all and the bagger replied “alright” after my daughter said have a good day. Lol The one star is for the wilted lettuce on top of rude employees. Update .. the $18 chicken we bought literally two days ago is spoiled and in the garbage.

HEADS UP, REGARDING HEALTH AND HYGIENE MATTER. While shopping at fresh market on Randall road in Geneva, in the produce section, I looked over at what I thought was a shopper , because she was coughing with an open mouth, NOT covering her mouth with her hand, and wearing face mask underneath her chin.She coughed at least a second time, while standing right over the produce. after coughing she proceeded to stand over the produce and eat grapes.Would you want to eat that food after she coughed onto it several times?That was really gross. It was the fact that she coughed right onto the produce multiple times .I saw with my own eyes.then she proceeded to wipe her nose with her open Palm,not the back of her hand, but the palm of her hand.This person was wearing a uniform and she actually worked there. she went inside the deli counter and as I was shopping, I was just looking at her in shock at her actions, and how gross they were, coughing on produce,etcso she proceeds to stare me down which was quite creepy . This fresh market employee was in her fifties, possibly 60's , so she knew better than to do that.I mentioned to the manager so nobody gets sick from her coughing onto the produce, especially during these times, what I witnessed as a customer .This employee that was coughing on the produce , and wiped her nose with her open Palm, had very light blonde hair platinum hair, short looking length. the manager said her name. This employee was staring me down, as a customer which you just don't do, as an employee. She Possibly had mental health issues, clearly any normal classy adult in the right state of mind, would not cough on produce , multiple times, then wipe her nose with her open palm and then go back into the deli section to work, and keep staring down a customer.I for sure won't be back. THIS IS A Heads up about fresh market on Randall road in Geneva, would you want to get produce from there , after witnessing something like that!

Overpriced food, mediocre selection. There isn't a single thing in this store that you couldn't buy at Aldi for half the price. Somehow this place feels more pretentious than Whole Foods while having worse products.

My first time visiting the store. It's definitely catered towards an upper lifestyle as it focuses on healthy and organic foods. As such, the store is relatively expensive and some products can be found elsewhere (such as Marianos) at a lower price. With that said, I have to admit their crab cakes are amazing, restaurant quality.

Sadly, the Glen Ellyn store closed a month or so ago, and we were really missing The Fresh Market, so we drove to Geneva. So glad we did. This location is even nicer, and it was great to come home with those "specialty" meat and sea food items that we always shopped for.Wish it weren't such a far drive, but we'll try to work it in once a month or so. And happy to see Debbie from the Glen Ellyn deli there!! What really puts The Fresh Market above other grocery stores is the friendly, helpful people.
