I stopped in here today to get something for my beautiful pug, Toast. The store is very clean and has a lot of amazing inventory that a typical pet store doesn’t usually carry. The owner(i unfortunately didn’t catch her name) was incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable about all her products. I had a lot of questions and she was very happy to help me with everything I asked about! The little Pug, Bruce behind the counter just made my whole shopping experience so much more amazing. I will 100% be continuing to shop here for anything i need in the future. They have a lot of great meal toppers, treats, raw bones and other healthy and natural things for your pets including rabbits toes and chicken heads!! I went in for one thing and left with 8. Definitely shop here!!

My dog, Arthur, works here from time to time as a treats analyst and snack consultant. He would sell me off for parts in a heartbeat for 2 minutes free reign in that apothecary. If you’re reading reviews to see if you should make a stop here, let this be your sign to go! Each staff member is absolutely compassionate about animals and have gone out of their way to make me and my pets feel at home. I could keep mushing about this place but you really should stop reading this review and just head over there now.

I have interacted with Kiandra, Krysta, and Jeff so far and they have all been so extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. I absolutely love their passion and commitment to providing high quality information and pet products to help our pets live out their best lives possible. They are truly dedicated to their area of expertise, which is so refreshing to see in this day and age. I did a consult with Krysta which was INCREDIBLY valuable on many levels in establishing how to navigate nutrition and lifestyle with my new pup. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Beautiful store and wonderful staff. They were so kind to answer our questions about our dog with some health issues and my cats sneezing fits! They let us know we could call or email whenever if we have more questions. We bought some yummy dog treats and an essential oil ear spray that will hopefully help our dog to feel better. We love that it's family owned and small for a great shopping experience. But the size of the shop doesn't take away from the amount of natural, holistic products they offer and you get a chance to speak with the owners every time. We love all the raw treat options and supplements they carry and our dog is so happy and healthy from everything we've gotten here so far. You even get to meet Bruce, the pug!

Krysta and Jeff are both so knowledgeable and passionate about improving quality of pet's lives through biologically appropriate diets, treats, and food supplements. Their store has an awesome variety of products made with excellent ingredients and they are very particular about with brands they sell. Both of my cat's health have improved drastically and their appearances have as well (shiner coats, less dandruff, etc)I just purchased some cbd oil for my soon to be 17 year old cat to just keep her more comfortable and within the day she was better; more relaxed, not pacing, less aggressive. I would absolutely recommend this store to anyone looking to improve their pet's life.To note, if you're in the veterinary field and offended by having your views challenged, you should either have a more open mind or avoid this store to spare your easily bruised ego.

My husband and I were in Geneva for the day and stumbled upon the store. Wow, what amazing owners! I have a senior dog and so many questions about health, feeding, CBD, etc. Jeff and Krysta were so hopeful and explained things so well. This shop is the best little hidden gem in Geneva! The service that Jeff and Krysta provide is amazing. Visited Bruce & Willy’s for the first time today. What an awesome place! They had amazing, high-quality, healthy treats, and the owner’s dogs were adorable. I didn’t check out their health supplies in depth, but I could tell they had a huge selection with trustworthy brands. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful too. I highly recommend visiting!

As a 30+ year resident of the fox valley area and a 10 year licensed veterinary professional I was shocked at how I was treated by the store owner. I went in with a friend who is also in the veterinary field. We both had picked out items to purchase. When the owner started to ask specific questions about my dogs diet, I told him I was in the veterinary field and asked to please not be talked out of my dogs current diet. He continued to speak in a berating way as if I didn’t know anything about animal nutrition and that I was harming my pets by feeding them the way I do. Even though I stated that I had no issues with those that feed alternative diets and have had my pets on such diets in the past, he continued to challenge me. He proceeded to tell me my dogs wouldn’t need medication if they were on the right diet. I didn’t share any of the medication my pets were on and didn’t care to get into details with him as the conversation had already escalated to an uncomfortable level. I proceeded to put my items back on the shelf as I would never support a business that thought it was ok to talk to a customer like this. He encouraged me to put my items back and didn’t care that I stated I would never return. I was embarrassed to have brought my friend to a place that upset us so much. I have worked in customer service for years, including a similar local holistic pet store and I can tell you I have NEVER talked to a customer like this. This was a very upsetting experience and I will continue to support local pet stores that treat their customers with respect.I understand you feel obligated to defend your company, but no worries. You made it clear you didn’t need the business. My friend has the same recollection of what happened. I mentioned I was a medical professional a total of 1 time during the conversation and immediately asked you not to discuss nutrition with me. I have gone with the guidance of a board certified veterinary cardiologist that I have worked with for over a decade. I will take that advice over yours any day. I take my education and research very seriously and the fact that you couldn’t respect a simple ‘ don’t comment on my dog’s diet’ with the comment that dogs don’t cook food? I’m happy to engage with my veterinary colleagues in such conversations, but I specifically asked you not to start and you did anyway. Maybe that’s part of your philosophy to push the boundaries of your customers. So be it. I would simply say that anyone in the veterinary profession should simply avoid your store altogether.

They have a huge selection of natural treats and holistic supplements for pups.Jeff and Krysta were very knowledgeable and helped me find some new treats and chews for my puppy, as he tends to get bored with the same old treats. He has a few conditions that require a strict diet and they knew exactly what I was looking for. They have a ton of treats I've never seen before as well.Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a one-stop-shop for overall doggy wellness.

I was in a few months ago and the owner (I believe he said he was one of the owners) recommended a supplement for my dog. It had worked wonders! She stopped puking after eating and she stopped coughing. The vet wasn’t able to give me any answers and wanted me to take her to a specialist two hours away. I’m lucky to have stopped in here while in town. I told my mom who lives there in IL not to shop anywhere else for her dog. Thank you for the help!

The owners are super knowledgeable and friendly; the plethora of organic products they carry are of spectacular quality, and my customer satisfaction only increases with each visit. The store layout is setup like a candy shop where your dogs and cats will drool over the treats and food.They even have cold item foods that I never knew existed, like dog cheese and dog root beer! My friends cats love me more than their owners it seems when I bring over catnip and food toppers. Some of their CBD and joint mobility health products have made a difference in my German Shepard’s elderly age; she climbs stairs and runs through fields with much less effort than before.If you truly care about your animals and want them to live a long, fulfilling life, one way is through their stomachs (and overall health)! Chat up the staff and don’t be afraid to try new things; your pets will make that decision.

A lovely boutique place dedicated* to the well being of our fur babies. I'm visiting from out of town, I've been to many natural stores and while you might think the selection isn't as big as other, its highly curated..! They've done the legwork to ensure there are no artificial additives to anything, which is still present in so called "natural brands." They also recommended other very useful avenues for my dog they make no profit from. Glad this place exists!

My baby Luigi has always has stomach issues with his kibble, he has terrible allergies and we’ve struggled with hot spots his entire life. Since coming to B&W they’ve helped me transition Luigi to raw, along with adding some extra supplements to help make him feel good inside & out!! Luigi was diagnosed with IVDD in Sept 2020 and since then they’ve helped me come up with what works for him! I asked them about a million questions and still do LOL, and they answer every single one of my questions with honesty. He is now 100% raw fed and takes all natural supplements everyday. Since his diagnosis I never once put him on a prescription pill because of Krysta & Jeff’s guidance. Luigi is a 7.5 year old Great Dane who because of this stores owners acts like a 3 year old Great Dane! Not only is his energy level back to a pup, his entire demeanor has changed. I can not thank them enough for everything they’ve helped me with! We are forever grateful! We love B&W and recommend everyone to stop in and start the transition to raw, your dog will thank you 10 times over!!!

This is a nice homey natural pet health store. After speaking with the owners of the shop, they really make you think about what we are putting into our pets (food, supplements, and drugs). They have a great range of natural products. I highly recommend coming to this shop and speaking with the owners about healthier nutrition and supplement options for your pets. The owners of this store know their stuff! My golden doodle had really bad hot spots that would pop up all throughout the year. Nothing the vet did ever helped consistently. Krysta suggested that I switch to raw food and everything cleared up within a couple months! No more spots, no more constant licking! I immediately came to B&W when I got my Frenchie puppy and he’s had ZERO issues...healthiest dog I’ve ever owned (100% raw fed)! Krysta’s recommendations for supplements even helped with shedding & prevention of dead lawn spots from pet urine. Check this place out and bring your pups!

My very picky eater (Boxer) is only three and he was on the road to poor health due to lack of nutrition. I bought over 15 different brands of food, tried mixing in bland human food, medications...nothing would get my dog to eat on a consistent basis. After stopping in at Bruce and Willy's, I discovered that no wonder my fur baby wouldn't eat....the mass marketed typical food was devoid of nutrients that are bio available to dogs. What dog cooks its food? But I was afraid of raw diet. Too many stories of improper handling and dangerous bacteria. So the store started me out with freeze dried raw food blends. It looks like kibble but it is not cooked and not drenched in chemicals. My dog started eating better on day one! Today he is on a fully raw diet and goes back to lick his bowl rather than avoiding meal time! We have added Goat milk for dessert and for added gut health support and he is thriving. I have another dog who isn't as fussy about food, but once Jeff and Krysta educated me on the benefits of raw, how could I deprive my 10 year old Bischon/ Lhasa mix the health benefits in his aging body? Bruce and Willy's turned this very skeptical and hesitant fur baby mom into a life long customer because of their honest and knowledgeable approach. They'll take product back if you don't like it. What do have to lose?

Bruce and Willy's was recommended to me by my friend Laura who frequents the store often. I decided to take a trip out to Geneva  (I live in Park Ridge) on my day off to check it out and hopefully pick up some CBD oil and supplements for my two French Bulldogs; one of which was recently diagnosed with IVDD. I can not say enough good things about Krysta and Jeff. They truly love what they do and they will go above and beyond educating their customers on all of the wonderful natural products they sell in their store. It's especially reassuring that Krysta is a Vet Tech as well and knowledgeable about various veterinary conditions and medications. Krysta and Jeff took more than enough time out of their day to help me select some items that would be beneficial for my one dog who is currently going through 4 weeks of strict crate rest.  I came home and gave him some of the CBD Oil I purchased and within 20 min he was calm and sleeping. I have tried CBD oil in the past and never had this kind of success! They also recommended a supplement that both of my dogs can take daily to promote overall joint support. Even though Bruce and Willy's is quite a drive for me, I will absolutely return in the future. I can't say enough good things about this adorable little shop whether you are looking for CBD Oil, Natural or raw food, all natural supplements, treats, toys, whatever it may be...Bruce and Willy's has it all.
