Please know and trust your dog groomers! Trust that they care and love your pet as much as you do, that's partly why they're in business. Trust when there is an accident in their shop they will take some sort of responsibility. Trust that there would at least be an apology and acknowledgement of the harm they caused your dog when negligence on their part is involved. My son and myself witnessed one of our dachshunds falling off one of their grooming tables with only a noose around her neck. Fortunately we were there and rescued her because we were several feet away nobody else attempted to do anything. They failed to have an under belly strap or at least another person standing by the table! They failed to have a muzzle on her when they know in the past that she has nipped and a groomer has been bitten. After the incident not a single word was spoken, not an apology not a phone call nothing! They also told me an untruth about the fact that in the state of Illinois you cannot have a muzzle on a dog when their tongue will hang out and I never once said do not muzzle her! As a matter of fact I reminded them that visit that she is nippy.Be aware that in the state of Illinois and most states there are no laws protecting you from groomer neglect , all you can do is get the word out of your experience. I only wonder what some of our pets experience without our knowledge at the hands of someone who can't even apologize for witnessing your dog fall off the table. This incident was reported to the police department the local animal control the County Animal Control and the Illinois Groomers Association but again in the state of Illinois and most States there are no laws protecting your pets from the abuse or neglect.

Our rescue dog had a lot of anxiety issues with grooming before we found Alexis' Doggie Spa.Not anymore, Alexis always tries to make her feel comfortable and there is no longer stress with her grooming appointments for either of us.
