Project Dog Park is one of the larger dog parks I have visited with my pup. Like most dog parks, there are different areas for large and small dogs.Pros: Unlike most dog parks, this one has two different fenced in areas for large dogs. At times one of them maybe closed to allow the grass to re-grow. According to a sign, the small dog area also welcomes puppies and senior dogs. This is helpful for older dogs who may not be as active. There are plenty of bone shaped benches for the hoomans to sit on while supervising their dogs in all three areas.Cons: The dog water fountain is outside the fenced in area. This forces dog owners to leash up their dog and "leave" in order to let their dog get water. If your dog is not registered in Galesburg, you must purchase a $3 pass from off the premises at the City Clerk's Office which is located across town.

Either myself or husband takes my dog here every evening. Its a great place to get your dog off leash and to sit and relax while your dog gets exercise. I love our dog park. I do wish they would unlock the gate on the 3rd section of the fenced in area. It would be nice to be able to use that area.

I don't know why it says project dog park. It's for everyone, not just the people who live in the projects. Nice place to take your dog.

Very nice park. It has a small dog area and bug dog area which is good and double gate entrance.

What a great place to take our dog. Amazes me that grown adults can't pick up after their dog. The park needs some cleaning up of fall leaves in kennel area. This could be much nicer. But generally the people you meet are very nice and considerate.

My pup loves it! Two big areas for bigger dogs, plus a smaller area for puppies/senior dogs. They have doggie poop bags available in several dispensers around each area for your convenience. There are stone benches for sitting while your pups get their exercise.

One of Galesburgs hidden treasures. Nice, spacious park with plenty of room for dogs to play safely. Our dog was able to run & play freely. The fire hydrant sprinklers are a plus.

Clean park, plenty of space for the animals to run around and they provide waste bags and disposal bins on site with a dog water fountain right outside the gate, different areas for older dogs and smaller dogs. Very pleased

Nice little dog park. Not much to do here; three open areas with trees and small benches. One of the bigger areas has two small water sprayers for some summer fun!

Didn't realize Galesburg had a dog park. Very nicely kept place. Separate runs for big dogs and small dogs. Nice water fountains and benches shaped like dog bones. Very nice Memorial Park. Highly recommend.

very nice little park. took the kids to the park and walked the little trail and they enjoyed the ppl park. lol no dog so we didn't have any reason to go to the dog part

Huge park with several areas for dogs of different sizes. There are benches in the park but not many. In general the park is kept very clean. More shade and seating would be nice.

A great little open area for our dog Luna, to run around and do her thing, along side other dog lovers. Always good to make your fur-babies tired before heading back home. :-)

Our dogs LOVE the dog park! Especially the fire hydrant sprinkler. They get their exercise and are calm the rest of the day.

Very nice three different fenced in areas.small medium and large area for dogs. Litter bags available to pick up dog waste.

I wish that there was a parking lot closer to the far dog enclosure. Sometimes it's rough getting dogs back and forth

Nice park for digs but I'd be nice if others options would be available as well. Maybe a pool or a small water park for the dogs and public restrooms.

Wonderful enclosed dog park with water access for people & dogs. My main complaint is there's nowhere to throw away trash inside the fence.

Great place to take the dogs for exercise! Try to go on dry days, as it can get muddy.
