This store location is always clean and tidy. Employees are helpful and kind when I’ve needed assistance. Menards has a wide array of products in the store. The food aisles sometimes have things you can’t find other places. Buying building supplies is a breeze here. There are always sales and rebates happening too.

Great as always. This is my go to store. That other place is not well laid out. This store is exactly the same layout as all the others. Use the app and it will put you right in front of your items. No muss no fuss in and out and back to fixing.

This was my first time to Menards in Galesburg. I came looking for parts for a specific project and they had them. I was also able to locate some parts I needed for a different project. The store was clean and there was a lot of staff around. I didn't specifically need help but sometimes I do and it's always nice to know that they're there. I always use Menards because of the 11% rebate and the number of items that they have. It's the best lumberyard I've ever seen. all Menards are that way

Good customer service. Purchased a patio set and assembled it only to find a part missing. Called the patio / garden department and got Lisa. She found the part and mailed it to me since I don't live close by. No hassle, no charge. I'm sure she didn't have to do that, and it took extra effort. So, thank you, Lisa!

This a nice home improvement store. It is always clean and prices are good. You can shop for quakity paint amd home repair, cleaning supplies, work clothes including hats and gloves, flashlights, lighting, holiday decor, garden supplies and plants, snacks, drinks, and other food, pet food and supplies, etc. The store is big. Help is sometimes hard to find. The in door and out door make for a lot of walking and is inconvenient. Entrance for people with disabilities is extremely difficult because there are gates at the entrance.

My husband and I both enjoy shopping at the Galesburg Menards, however it is not handicap friendly. They only have one mobile cart working and it only works occasionally. Unfortunately I will not be shopping there as I cannot get around with just a push cart. Management should be looking into this as it is a real problem.

“Cameron” helped us out today with our new kitchen sink purchase. He answered all our questions, and took his time explaining all the features and double-triple checking to make sure it would work for us.He showed us the caulking stuff we needed and was super helpful. Great place to find all your one stop shop stuff for your house/garden. Only downside is that the cashier refused to help us with the stuff we purchased. We had a full cart and while we were bagging our stuff she continued to help others. To make room she kept hitting the conveyer belt and it almost broke the things we just purchase or almost sent them flying onto the floor. The lady was not kind at all.

Disappointed 😞. Was going to purchase an outdoor thermometer and it wouldn't ring up. Manager was called and she couldn't get it either. The product was less than $5. She wanted to know where I got it and i said just forget it because it wasn't worth holding other people up for $5. Told her the price but it has to be scanned. Miss the good old days.

horrible customer service. Cashier Ryan was more concerned about when his lunch hour was, discussing it with Ashley who also ignored me, neither one greeted me or asked if I found everything ok. THEN another very rude employee came to the register with a til and literally shoved my cart out of her way to get to the register, I was still Taking merchandise out of the cart!I asked if I was inconveniencing them interrupting them with my purchases? Then Ryan had the nerve to ask me if he did something to upset me and when I said yes ,and why he laughed. I was furious at all of their behavior. How can this be allowed especially with every thing going on in our world today . I work for a major retail company where customer service is the number one focus, maybe it should be enforced with you !

Nice story but does the exit door have to be 50 yards from the entrance. Stood around for 20 minutes could not get any help in the mower department! Left your sales loss.

Went to go into the store with me and my 3 kids. Got stopped at the door and told that they are not allowing kids in the store. Mind you I'm a single parent. So I go outside and call to talk to a manager and she said that she will get me an 800 number to "make me happy". Got nothing but attitude. Will never shop here again and will let friends and family know that are single parents of the same

Go to a local nonbigbox store it's easier and more friendly. You shouldn't have to go clear outside to get lawn an leaf bags where there is only 1 cashier outside. Put some up front as you walk in or where the main cashiers are so your not in line forever. It's a needed thing right now. Never going there again. And the bags rip at 10 pounds what good is that they are raited at 50 pounds

Today while checking out in the garden section a couple came in without masks. The associate at the register immediately asked them to put masks on, to which they replied they both had notes from doctors saying they were exempt (which they would not provide).The woman at the counter reasoned with them saying they could come it but needed masks to check out at the register. The man got very angry claiming that America was a free country and his wife fainted from lack of oxygen when she wore a mask. He was basically irate at this point shouting at the now several employees, claiming he was a veteran and had rights to freedom.One employee calmly told the man that yes the US is a free country so Menards is free to refuse service to anyone and asked them to leave the premises. I was so impressed by the way Menards staff handled this situation. Those of us customers who witnessed it were all very grateful and thanked the employees for protecting our safety.Also, a nice employee helped me unload my purchases to my car, thanked me for shopping at Menards, and then took my cart back for me.This entire experience made my day brighter. I was already a loyal customer and now I’m even more convinced that Menards is a wonderful store. Thank you.

Excellent Customer Service!My daughter wanted the "giant sloth" stuffed animal from Menards on her birthday. This was a discontinued item, and every store was out except the Galesburg Menards. You can't find it online. These folks dug through piles of old inventory and shipped to my house, without hesitation, because they knew it was for my daughter's birthday.

Even through the remodel this store is keeping up their inventory and I've been able to find what I need for a bug renovation. Huge shout out to Jay in building materials. Courteous and friendly. I'd come back just to have Jay help me out!

Well, this visit was not up to par. The flooring dept acted like they didn't want to be bothered. The paint dept was more concerned with scheduling. The hardware dept was kind and helpful. It makes me wonder what kind of work place environment they are experiencing .

Great staff, but they should mutiny against who ever did the scheduling for Aug 31st. One cashier, front staff doing the best they can. 40 minutes waiting to have someone free up to rent the truck. Used the truck for total of 20 minutes.Kudos to Tabitha, Abby, Tyson, and Sully. They are the reason to come here.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Great selection of plants and garden supplies. You can find a bit of everything at Menards. Appliances, tools, wood, paint, food and pet supplies.

I needed to purchase a bathtub and surround and was having issues with the online system. I called the store and spoke to Ashley in plumbing, she helped me by doing the purchase though the system for me. Excellent employee, take note Menards this employee went the extra mile for a customer.

Fourth trip for the weekend. Stood in line at customer service behind 3 people. After checking out, receipt caught in printer. (Happened to people in front of us, us and the next person, too). Person with key slowly wanders over to open. Ours had a rebate that didn't print. We're told to go back to customer service desk and they'll print out another. Walk back there and wait behind SAME people as before. After at least 20 minutes, she asks us what we want. Says well she'll have to refund everything and then resell it to us. But wasnt able to handle it yet. We walked out! A good 30 mins just to try and get a receipt/rebate. System sucks!

Most of the staff, really nice , helpful and acknowledge of their department, I use this store every time that I go to Galesburg, I can get from groceries, pet products and materials to improve my house.At this time somebody had a bad day, happens to everybody but it's better to leave problems at home and focus in our job not being rude to customers, I will be back in my next trip to get paint and more for sure, it's a great place.
