Flavor Freeze is so great. It's nostalgic if you ever went to the small town ice cream shop this is it! It's really small inside, and I didn't see any outside seating. However the ice cream is wonderful, lemon is my favorite, and the tenderloins mmm good stuff mainard. The staff was a one woman band. She has great skills, taking and preparing everything for everyone efficiently and effectively.Parking: It's a decent size gravel lot. So no handicap parking unless you can navigate thru the gravel.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn't like fries, and ice cream. It's a small place and I'm not sure if they have high chairs or booster seats. I'd probably take it to go.

Little place, cash only, for very quick fast food bites or variety of ice cream treats. Tenderloin and shake special every day, but each day has a different special as well. Family owned and operated for years.Kid-friendliness: All kinds of foods that are kid favorites - chicken strips, burgers, and especially ice cream in multiple flavors.

My wife and I went here a few days back for the first time. We were looking for a place that had corn dogs and Flavor Freeze showed up in our searches.I personally tried the XL tenderloin, a corn dog, and cheese bites. Everything was very tasty! The tenderloin was huge, perhaps one of the biggest I have seen/eaten! To top it all off, I tried a twist ice cream cone. It was very creamy and hit that sweet spot! I would recommend this place if you are looking to satisfy your craving for fair/festival style food or if you are looking for a sweet treat. We will be going here again! We enjoyed everything we ordered.

If I could give a zero I would. Literally the WORST! They rushed us to order, they gave us our food with our ranch busted all over everything in the bag (even the napkins) I kindly went up and explained and asked for more ranch and napkins and they were so RUDE about it. I know the tables are outside but it was still messy and trashy. They are the most rudest females ever. Would NEVER recommend or eat here again

This is truly the ONLY place to get ice cream in town. The 2 dairy queens are now owned by foreigners and they're filthy dirty. Flavor freeze has been a staple to this town ever since I can remember. Friendly service, delicious food and ice cream, and hands down the best peanut butter shakes in the world.

Food is always good it's been the same for since I've been going there for 40 years with my mother 50 years right now the owners are awesome always never wait you know that they're right on it if you want good food you know fast food go to flavor freeze then get the best ice cream too

Went there for the first time this evening. Staff was quick to get our order. Friendly staff. Great food, Famous for their Tenderloin sandwiches. Many choices of ice cream treats. Walk up window or order inside. There are tables inside and out. This is a very popular little shop. Expect a line at the window, but it's worth the wait.

Omg where do I start! The tenderloins and shakes are the best. I have to come at least a few days out the week. Their food menu has an array of items. My son loves the fries and mini tacos 😊 he's only 2 but loves to come and get that with a kid's shake. It makes his day!The ice cream menu also has an array of items. Their specials are very reasonably priced😊 The customer service could be better. The staff is typically young and can take their time and not answer the phones but for the most part have had great customer service. When I moved away Flavor Freeze has always been one of my first stops for food. If this place were to close my heart would shatter.

Very good selection of food and ice cream there. I really like the sandwiches, chicken, and appetizers there. The shakes, cones, and flurries are really good, too.Nice they now have the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks and cheese curds, too.

Great tenderloins and shakes! Awesome fried mushrooms and onions rings! I love Flavor Freeze. I biked to it regularly as a kid who grew up on Grand Avenue, and I always visit it with my kids and family now when we visit the area from Charlottesville, Virginia. Thank you for keeping this experience alive!

Been going here since I was a kid. Love this place and appreciate them staying open through the pandemic and other stuff going on. Best lemon ice cream on the planet!!!!! Love the food too :)

Tried to order extra ice cream on my brownie, fudge and ice cream dish , even begging that I didn't care how much extra I would pay and I still was refused,,she couldn't get it in her head to give me extra on the side, I will never go back!!!!

I have always loved Flavor freeze! My nana used to walk us down there & Rita was always so friendly, the food is fabulous, Tenderloins are AMAZING & reasonable prices too!! My daughters love going for ice cream as well!

If there is a mistake made on your order, you will still get friendly treatment and know that they will do whatever they can to fix it

Being lazy must be a requirement to get hired on to this place. Staff was rude ,and you cant get the food thats kept them in business all these years for the last hour they are open for business. My guess is because staff is in a big hurry to get out of there when business hours end. And the business hours are another tragic story. If I could sum it up in one word,that word would be unpredictable. I try to avoid this place myself, but what Mom wants, Mom gets.

Went in for the tenderloin/milkshake special for lunch. It was very good. Fries etc are all ala carte but that's ok. The sandwich and milkshake were perfect for my lunch. Limited inside seating but I noticed most orders were for take out.

Three words......LEMON ICE CREAM!!! The best ice cream parlor EVER. You get your money's worth with whatever you decide to buy from there. The thing I love most about Flavor Freeze is that the taste has remained the same throughout the years so I can reminisce going there when I was a child. Good times!!

Great ice cream and supposedly great food, I haven't eaten anything except the turtle flurry. There is not enough space inside to comfortably sit; they have a few tables crammed in but very little space to move between the tables.

Loved it as a kid.. Havent had it for years felt it was rush today XL tenderloin was a partially under cook. Polish was amazing though :) and as always ice cream was amazing

Calling in a phone order for three people, because of their cheap burger and fries combo.Had the owner hang up on me because I asked for a second to look at my phone to see what someone texted me that they wanted. Looked at the text for a moment (already had it on the screen because I wanted to be considerate), and put the phone back to my ear and she had ended the call.I called back and said I thought we got disconnected. She said, “No. I hung up on you. I’m too busy to wait for you to look at your phone.”I’ll never go back. So sad that a mom and pop business treats their clientele like this.
