When this coffee shop first opened years ago it was very nice, pleasant owner, atmosphere and food. Unfortunately when I tried it the other week it was completely different. The food was poor and the service was worse. They had nothing left on the menu so we ended up getting what they had available but really we should have left. We ended up hacing to leave instead of eating at our table because it was so smokey our eyes burned and it was overwhelmingly hot. It went from a very nice little niche place to something I would never go to again. Had a bargain basement feel with no quality left. Not trying to be mean but just being honest.

This is a decent little cafe. The food appears to be well thought out, however, every dish is missing the one essential ingredient required to be great: flavor. The soups and chicken salad lack flavor.

Food was excellent. Debated long and hard about the amount of stars to give. Had the chicken special today with an iced tea. My bill was close to $14. That is my only complaint. Will I be back? Of course. Regularly? Not at all likely.

I had a small get together here and it was the perfect place. Brian was so helpful and collaborative. The room we were given was private and large with lots of seating.

Lovely place great food friendly staff. The lady noticed she gave me the wrong cup sized and fixed it for me b4 I could say something. Overall highly recommend.

The panini is to die for! Really delicious and worth it! Tuna melt is amazing. Great people with big smiles. I love getting the white chocolate frappe with caramel and whip cream!!

Good coffee but the girl making drinks, dropped a lid on the floor and still proceeded to put it on my girlfriend's drink. Probably for the best to not return. A shame considering this place has been talked highly of by many.

Love their chicken salad sandwich and sweet potato fries. Love the nostalgic feel, down home feel, but eclectic as well. Pretzel City strong, with several Pretzel City items to buy.

Great coffee. I actually have mom ship Freeport blend to me in a regular basis. Their food is always fresh. I love this little coffee shop so much. It's a true gem.

Highly recommend going to 9 East Coffee whenever you are in Freeport. Food and coffee are consistently delicious. Prices are affordable and reflect the high quality food and service.

Great Espresso, friendly service. I hope they are the catalyst to reviving the downtown area. Freeport is a bit non-descript elsewhere but the downtown area has wonderful potential, 9 East is a breath of fresh air.

Very disappointed in the amount of money spent on coffee. Friends and I threw them away the second we stepped out the door. Glad we didn’t order food and chose to go elsewhere. I’ve had bad coffe before, but this was awful!
