I went to buy some lumber and miscellaneous goods. The handsome gentleman by the lumber desk was a great help. He said he was in charge of the shopping carts, but nobody that well dressed and articulate is pushing carts. He was also wearing a Rolex Explorer. I think he was the store manager. Dark perfectly coiffed hair. I wish all my shopping experiences were this streamlined and helpful.

I came to the store over Thanksgiving weekend looking for a specific part to fix my parent’s kitchen sink. The associate who helped me, her name is Alyssa, and she was AMAZING! She was very friendly and went over and beyond taking the time to help me find the part I needed. It took a while to find the part but I was not bothered by it because I had a great time chatting with her!

I took a half day of PTO to install new carpet. I ordered the carpet that I wanted online after making a trip to the store the night before and working with Alyssa. She was very friendly and helped me find the carpet I wanted! About 1 minute after ordering the carpet, I received an email that my order was ready for pickup. I figured it was a mistake as i have experience years ago working with another store that does bopas. I decided to go pickup my trailer AND get a haircut before going to get the carpet. I assumed this would give them enough time to have it ready. I was wrong. I get to the pickup area where i find Chris, another very friendly employee who informed me that my ticket was unfortunately marked as complete, but was not actually even started and due to no one being available, i would need to come back in 30 minutes to an hour. So i did just that, i left and came back eating about an hour of my PTO at this point. The carpet was ready and i go on my way.After getting home, i called the store to express my frustration. I asked for an assistant manager and was transferred to Mike, the manager over floor coverings. He was very friendly and apologetic on the phone. He advised he would talk with the store manager and I should get a call back from the store manager. I thanked him for that.About an hour later i decided to go buy a second carpet stretcher from the store. I had already purchased a knee banger and wanted a lever stretcher. When i entered the store i asked to talk to the assistant manager as i wanted to explain my situation. I was presented with Byron. He did not look like a manager, he didn't talk or act like an assistant store manager. He completely brushed my situation off, didn't offer me anything for the huge waste of time i had due to the poor judgement a lazy person on their end made. I asked for a little help with a carpet stretcher in return for the incompetence on their end. He advised me that he can do nothing of the sort to help me if it involves money. Not even cover the $20 rental fee for the rental stretcher. I'm appalled this is the second in charge of a store this large.Lastly, the store manager never had 5 minutes in his day to call me back. (Its been 7 days since). Mike and Byron the "assistant" manager both said he would.Thank you Alyssa, Mike and Chris for being so polite and I have nothing good to say to the store manager, whoever that is and Byron. Byron actually falls below whoever processed my order for his pure lack of empathy and customer service skills.....TLDR: Buy carpet somewhere else and dont use their online purchasing system....

Horrible customer service/experience. I just moved here and was referred by a resident of Freeport. When I got there, not one, two or three associates who worked there spoke or even asked if I had found anything ok. I had to SPEAK and ask for assistance myself. From the WALKING in to the sales associates to the cashier up front! I was looking for a specific size screw and saw an associate waiting on a customer in the same aisle. When I asked for help, she IMMEDIATELY said she doesn’t work in that department, she was apart of some “inventory crew” and had to get someone else to wait on me. Same lady I saw this morning, I wasn’t surprised that she wasn’t going to assist me, so I asked for the spray bottles locations she gave me instructions on how to get there, but couldn’t walk me to the item. I asked another associate and she actually walked me to the item. I wouldn’t shop here if my LIFE depended on that store. How it’s rated 4.3 stars is crazy. If it was possible to give it a negative I would. I was incline to believe that it has EVERYTHING to do with my skin tone. I was THEE only “brownie” in the building. Go figure!

Disappointed at menards freeport they don't price match lumber with their rockford store and told me a week for a refund on my card only reason I noticed it was bought all of it at rockord store but the last 2 pieces was alot higher priced in freeport store will not buy lumber here again beware price match before you buy at menards freeport it is higher priced sent email to email provided no response from menards poor service and customer relations

I love this store. Was looking for Christmas wreaths so I can decorate and found everything I wanted for a terrific price. They have a great selection. Highly recommended if you're looking to create wreaths.

Workers are lazy won’t help you at all out in the yard every time I am there they look at you and then they take off .I work for a huge construction company in Freeport ( the Rockwell group a division of the morse group) and I think your workers are so in professional

The guy that is running the back gate is slower than molasses. Somebody should replace him and put him somewhere. Also, the guy stocking the shelf inside the store must be lazy because they're leaving things in the box.

Excellent customer service. Staff was extremely helpful. Several employees offered to help my disabled husband with heavy items even though his stubborn butt kept politely declining. I felt as if they genuinely cared about making our experience a welcome one.

Went to Walmart in Freeport and an employee named Scott was wonderful. He helped me find what I was looking for in the garden center and loaded 20 bags of mulch into my vehicle. He was friendly and very helpful. I will recommend my family and friends to shop there. It’s so nice to see an employee be helpful with a smile!

Worse store I've ever been in. I needed 3 6ft fence post. You have to go to building materials to order them and that's now on the far back corner of the building. After ordering them I checked out and the cashier was rude. Had to drive around back to get them and couldn't get any help. After I found them I saw that they charged me for the wrong posts. So I had to go back to the service desk then was sent back to building materials again to get the right ones ordered. After I ordered them just walked outside and grabbed what I needed then had to go back to the service desk yet again to get my change. And had to deal with yet another rude employee. I spent over a hour in that store just trying to get 3 post. Next time I'll take the 30 minute drive and go to Rockford. Won't ever step foot in that store again.

Working on a remodel on our home and doing just about everything ourselves, but being very inexperienced with plumbing we've had to go back multiple days for this or that. Tony, in the plumbing department, has been an absolute life saver every single time we've been there. First for dishwasher hookup, then sink as well as ice maker line for the new fridge. Tony definitely needs a raise for just how amazing he's helped and made our experience a lot less stressful.

Always find what I need at Menards. Shelf's are always well stocked and easy to shop. Love their 11% off sale every week too! Employees are helpful and take you over to show where something is instead of just pointing in the direction.

Manards in jansville was awsome the staff was friendly and very helpful the manardss in freeport sucked couldn't fine any one to help us then when we did what to wait in line 15 to 20 minutes to get checked out then they called for someone to help us load they never showed up and then there was no parking spot in the load area to load

Don't ever order anything from here. Do yourself a favor and go to home depot or Lowes. This place is completely incompetent. Messed up my order not once, not twice, but 3 times! Then when they finally brought the right materials to finish my project, the guy unloading it off the truck, broke ALL OF IT!. This was after his truck leaked oil all over my new driveway. What a nightmare!

My wife and I come here fairly often. They have it all here. The 11% rebate deals are great ! Sometimes we just come here to get ideas for things we can do around the house. The employees are always friendly and helpful.

I love this place especially when they have 11% off. Only problem was at check out. There was a solar light that was missing the stake part and she wanted me to walk all the way back where I got it and get another. I said no I would get just the one. Then I gave her 4 rebates and she only gave me credit for 3. Her name was Kimberly. Don't go to ring up with her.

Associates are few and far between. If you are lucky enough to catch one, they either are from another department and can't help you or dont know the answer and can't help you. Nothing is ever in stock and when you pay for something to be delivered, it never shows up. After 3 weeks of not getting my stove, called and they said it had been in the store for 3 weeks and didnt know it was supposed to delivered and asked If I wanted it delivered for another fee in 2 weeks! Ridiculously bad customer service.

Very friendly and helpful people today which is much better than my last visit. Even loaded the bags into the back of my truck. Only thing that maybe could be changed was I was in the back area over 15 minutes. Thank ypu for a good experience.

Menards hire friendly helpful people. I ask a question and I get a friendly response. If they don't know the answer they at least get me to the correct department to get the answer. I'm very glad they follow the mask law and have everybody wear masks. Most customers keep to social distancing. I was waiting in an isle waiting for my turn in the same section and some guy moves me out of the way and moves the older couple looking in the area I wanted to look also. He barged in touching me to move me and touched them to move them. He started shopping at the same spot not waiting. Good thing he had pulled his mask down and was protecting us from his beard possibly spreading the Covid 19 virus. Some people just don't think other lives matter. But at least Menards try to keep their customers safe but nobody can fix stupid people.

I purchase a product from Menards online, I paid extra to have it shipped overnight. This did not happen, it was days late and 20.00 for nothing. I called Menards they said not our problem, call the shipped that you choose. While I said I didn't hire a shipper, fed ex , or UPS is who is Menards has a contract with. Menard refused to refund shipping

Doubled prices, some products even more than doubled. When people are there everyday or every other day they notice these things. I think it is price gouging and taking advantage of the good American people and their families and their MUCH NEEDED stimulus checks!!!
